  1. Caresse looked a bit surprised Cole handed his piece of equipment to her. She smiled thankfully and looked at the things he pointed at with a bit confused. The writing was weird to her, but it made sense to hear him talk about it. She nodded along as he spoke. She didn't say anything about the pictures. Technical stuff was his expertise, not drawing. "I have a sword myself," she said softly tracing the schematic with her finger, "but that does look cool." She picked it up again and then lightly touched the bike, "How close to done is it?"
  2. The door very slowly opened and the smell of incense wafted out. Caresse peaked out of the crack and saw the two girls. One she had met before, but the other was a new person. She opened the door a little, "Hey guys, give me a moment, please?" She lightly shut the door and picked up her meditation rug from the floor, putting it under her bed. She dropped the towel she was wearing and reached for her costume. It slid on very quickly thanks to the morphic molecules. grabbing her gloves and boots she opened the door again. She smiled, "Hello, Victoria and you too. Please come in." The morphic molecules in her costume made it quick to put on the boots and gloves, as the girls saw them almost slide on.
  3. Yeah, let's not bring that up again, Caresse thought. "Hm," she thought out loud while picking up her head, "questions. I do have a few. I never got the full tour after sign up, did you? Maybe we can poke around this place and find something out?" She smiled and then glanced over at the thing Cole was drawing and then back to him, "Or we can sit right here. I'd love to get to know someone better. Like what you're doing there?" She pointed to the tablet he was working on, "Could it be those weapons you were talking about?"

  5. Looking to Cole, Caresse leaned her head on her crossed arms that were held up by her knees. She sighed contentedly, "Thank you for understanding." She mentally shook her head at this scene. Here she was, pouring her heart out melodramatically, like some daytime TV talk show. Cole was not Dr Phil, She had to treat him better than that. "I'm sorry to here about your misfortune." Prison? Amnesia? Wow, this guy probably could write a book about his life. She'd love to hear about it, but it sounded personal. She wouldn't prod unless he presented more about, "Should I ask or do you wish to talk about something else?"
  6. Caresse paused for a moment. The question was a valid one. Why was she here spilling her guts to a guy she only met once. Did she really know that he was trustworthy? He was just the guy that she met on the first day. The first guy, yes, but she met others too. Victoria, Morgan, John and ... the weird kid? She had to save face not to look weird herself. "I apologize," she said sympathetically, "I was just looking for someone to talk to. And you were the first person I happened to see." She sighed, "as for why I'm so open with someone I barely know, you're right. If I have misjudged you, please forgive me." She shook her head downward, putting her arms across the top of her knees, "I've just been cooped up for a while. Being alone makes you, just, I don't know," she looked up and totally expected him to be gone.

  8. Caresse nodded as Cole spoke, affirming that she had been cooped up the past few days. "Well, the whole locked away thing," she sighed heavily, "it's, well it's something that needs explaining. First off, I am going to be honest with you. My powers are something I need to explain. I can't touch people. They can't touch me either. Not in a 'I'm not really there' fashion. No, something weird happens. It messes with their," she paused for a moment to sum up the right word, "emotions?" She hung her head glumly, "Before a few days ago it was bad." She looked to him again, "Like it bleed through clothes and stuff. Anything that was on me. But the Albright Institute had been helping me. Trying to get rid of the power overload. They found a 'biology controller'. While he couldn't take the whole power away, he did rearrange it somehow to make it not so potent though." She stopped and blushed a slight bit. She didn't mean to grill him, "If I'm talking about something you didn't want to know, I'll change the subject."
  9. Cole. Torque. That was his name, or names. Caresse felt like she had found a lone easter egg. She made her way over to the tree he was sitting at and sat herself down. though not too close, hopefully. She liked to think she knew of personal spaces. Maybe it was just a psychic thing she picked up? She didn't know, ut ever since the accident that got her here, she was very wary of people's space. "Hey man," she sailed with a smile and leaned back, "is this seat taken? I hope I'm not interrupting anything important."

  11. It had been a few days since Caresse had her biological augmentation to keep her powers in check. They weren't gone, but they were manageable now. It had to be straight skin to skin contact instead of just making contact with her person. Though biological augmentation was not without it's downside. She felt numb for three days straight. Luckily she hadn't been assigned a roommate yet, so it was easy to lock the door and curl up in a ball on her bed. She began to feel a little bit better when she got some feeling back. Wearily she rose from her bed with a smile. She stretched with a satisfied yawn and a smile. She headed for the shower, it would be good to feel the water on her skin. After she was done, she suited up in her new costume. To others it was bland and dark, but she liked it. Walking out of the dormitory, she was looking for some of the people she met a few days ago. The school was partially empty due to summer. Sure their were classes going on, but it was sort of a ghost town at the moment compared to what it would be.
  12. Jade Dragon and Cheshire Blade clear out the cobwebs, so to speak
  13. Eve surveyed the scene of mass carnage. She didn't know how it happened, but there it was, right in front of her face. Several large spiders were climbing up a building in broad daylight, like it was nobody's business but their own. People, understandably, were running out of the skyscraper in abject horror. All the while the spiders seemed to be webbing up the large building. Lots of the citizens screamed in terror when a few of the spiders jumped from the their perches to another building across the street. Then it became obvious. They were trying to set up shop in the middle of downtown. Eve could not stand around and gawk any longer. She didn't have her costume (or her grapple gun, which would have made this a little bit easier), but she was still a hero. A whispered incantation brought her magical focus into her hand from thin air. She assessed the situation, trying to figure out what would be the best course of action. She could shoot the things down, but then they would fall to the ground, possibly injuring people. Challenges, these were her everyday hero life.
  14. Jade Dragon couldn't help but smirk. Oh, she felt fear as the giant serpent came down to bite her, but the fear was instantly negated when she heard an audible thud on the ground, accompanied by the snake's head hitting it. "Surely you need some practice with your aim," she jested, "But hey, here's hoping you don't get another shot at it." Her merriment was interrupted by the shouting snake woman, "Oh, I'm sorry. Did your giant killer pet get a boo boo?" And then the medusa tried to get her to look at her. Luckily, Jade Dragon was quick enough to avert her eyes. "I paid attention in Mythology 101," she said loudly after a short single syllable laugh, "Don't make me go all Perseus on you, woman!" She ran backwards a bit and took aim at the snake again, "Hey big boy, try your luck again." A black shaft of light flew from her bow when she pulled the string back and yelled the word, "KÅ«!" The piece of unlight struck the giant serpent and covered it in a black aura, trying to sap the vitality away from it.

  16. The giant serpent and medusa were too busy inspecting the magical wound to notice the runner. Once they figured it was just a bruise, the y were still angry at the hero! The giant serpent made haste towards the newly suited Jade Dragon attempting to come down on the mystic archer. And come down he did! He hit his head on the ground right next to her. It didn't hurt, but boy did it feel silly! The giant serpent picked his head back up and looked around. Making sure no one saw his pratfall. He then hissed angrily at Jade Dragon. Medusa was not happy with the results. If now were the time for facepalming, she would do it, but now she had more important matters to attend. "Hey, green bean," she shouted, "You gotta, like, watch where you're shooting those things! You almost took my partner's head off with that thing!" She then transfixed her gaze on Jade Dragon, "Now, if you could just look into my eyes for a moment? That'd be cool."
  17. I've mentioned an idea for a thread that happens before Lotus gets her powers rejigged. It'd have to be set on the night of the 27th. If that contradicts anything, we can work it out after said event :)
  18. The talking mask was a bit weird, at least in Jade Dragon's mind. Though the wearer didn't seem creepy at all. It was Uncanny Valley with a soul. She chuckled at the thought, "You talk like werewolves are a real thing. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they were." She reached out a hand of greeting, "My name is Jade Dragon. I run through these parts and try to keep them clean." She looked down to the trapped bests, "At least from roving packs of wolves." She looked up to Ferros again, "Might I ask your name? For the time I've been in Port Regal, I haven't seen another metahuman. Then again you might just be passing through."
  19. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN For Jade Dragon, I want to drop the super-sense (she never used it anyway, it was just a fluff way of her knowing the mystical elemental composition of things). also, drop the equipment feat (no more costume or grapple gun). change restricted 2 to Restricted (works as a regular bow for others) (it is her focus, but that focus is a bow and others can use that part). Add this to her powers section Device 1 (costume; hard to lose) Protection 3, Quick Change 1, Features (compartments) I aim to get the grapple gun back too, but i'm too undecided on how to build it now After all that's done, please send me the code for Jade Dragon's sheet. Thank you DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
  20. Jade Dragon stepped out from the shadows she was standing in so that if Ferros couldn't see her before, she was definitely visible now. She smiled and waved to Ferros, beckoning him over. "Aren't you the cutest little puppies? Yes, you are, yes you are," she said looking at the wolves with a smirk. She looked to Ferros again, "Thanks for the assist. I've been tracking these animals almost all night. I do wonder what they're doing out tonight." She looked up into the sky and then back to Ferros, "It'd be my luck that I was following a bunch of werewolves."
  21. The wolves who didn't see it coming all struggled against their new accommodations. The one who was looking at the metal hero was sort of ready for it. It was not happy. Barking at his trapped companions the free wolf hurried off into the night as fast as his lupine speed would let him. It seemed almost unnaturally fast though. Ferros couldn't tell as the beast made haste into the night. The three other wolves were not happy with their new homes. The growled and looked at both of the heroes what they could in the cages.
  22. Snare saves (1d20+7=17, 1d20+7=15, 1d20+7=13, 1d20+7=14, 1d20+7=19, 1d20+7=26, 1d20+7=13, 1d20+7=17) three are trapped, one is not. on to reactions!
  23. Caresse stood unusually quiet after the scare. Even as the boy skipped off. She crossed her arms over the motorcycle helmet and smiled. She was weirded out that something wrong would happen before tomorrow. That the people here would reject her after finding out what she could do. Though tomorrow that would all be fixed, she'd have to tell someone about it. Cole seemed a nice enough guy. Heck, all of these guys seemed nice in their own way. Even dream boy. Especially John, so polite. After Cole stopped explaining himself, she nodded her head towards the administration building. "Come on," she smiled warmly. She looked to the others still standing around, "It was very nice meeting you all. I hope we run into each other again." She took a step back and then turned around, looking for Cole.

  25. There was no time to react. Eve had to get into costume fast and there wasn't a full minute to do so. She thought about not donning it and getting about her hero business. But no, she had to present her honor. Pulling the thing out of her arm wallet, she unfolded it quickly. She didn't even have time to remove her clothes to make it fit well. It ended up looking like a bad Jade Dragon rip off, but it was on enough to protect her. She muttered arcane languages quickly and in a flash her magical bow focus appeared in her hands. Not wanting to mince words, she ran as far as she could and then shot a spell at the large snake, "Tsuchi," she yelled and a green shaft of light screamed toward it's target, striking true into the snake's belly. But the snake's seemingly impenetrable hide protected it from the most epic blast!
