  1. Edited my post to mesh with John's edit.
  2. Ugh, I feel like a heel for doing this, but I'm really not feeling confident enough to run this round anymore. Chances are that I'll try again, in a month or two, but for now, I'm going to have to put this on hold. I'm really sorry about this, guys.
  3. Turning his head upon hearing a familiar voice, Guardian saw Sparksmith. "Hey, Sparks, I'm glad there's a familiar face here! Let's take this mechanized monstrosity down, shall we?" Looking around, Guardian saw civilians, but thankfully, they were doing what they could to get away. He also noticed a new hero around. "Huh. I wonder who that is? Well, the blue hair and ponytail are interesting, and we can always use more help. And thankfully, it seems like I can concentrate on the fight."
  4. Do you have any suggestions, or can you at least tell me what the special dishes are?
  5. Ok, so on request of JohnStargazer, Scraper will be substituted for Beacon. The start of this game will be delayed until the character is OK'ed. The final roster is: Sparksmith Cobalt Knight Beacon Supercape with Valkyrie as a backup.
  6. Avalon, do you have an example of what sort of food there is on the menu? I have no idea.
  7. Taking 10 on the untrained Knowledge: Pop Culture checks on Doc Otaku and Scraper. Inititave: 1d20=6 Guardian's also nearby, and heard a police radio transmission.
  8. Guardian was casually flying through Downtown Freedom, being in the Midtown area at the time, when he heard in his head "All available units in Downtown Freedom, converge on the Millennium Mall. Doctor Otaku is threatening to destroy the mall with his mech." Since he was right by the area, he sped off towards the mall. He arrived with little trouble, and noticed both Doc Otaku's giant robot, and The Beacon. What the... The Beacon? I could have sworn he retired several years ago! What's he doing here? Disregarding this train of thought for the moment, he flew up beside The Beacon, and said "Hey, need a hand?"
  9. Avalon? You have 22 more hours to respond, or I'm removing you from the roster. Incidentally, signups are still open, in case Avalon fails to show, so feel free to put your name down.
  10. Hey, Avalon? I'm a little concerned about accepting your character for this adventure. This is VERY combat-oriented, and you kinda disappeared for a bit. Will you be around now, or are you still sporadic in activity?
  11. So, being a huge fan of game soundtracks, and wanting to help, I thought I'd offer my services to try and find some theme music for whatever character you want. Just put down which character you want me to find themes for, and what themes you want (They can be anything, like for when someone is cocky, or battle themes of various magnitude, or a theme for sad moments.) Ideally, in your request, also include what you generally expect it to sound like. (For example, slow, fast paced, erratic, particular instruments, etc.) Just a disclaimer: Depending on how obscure or hard the request is, and how picky you are, it might take longer for me to find a theme for you, and I reserve the right to put the search on hold indefinitely.
  12. Ok, I'm opening signups now. First come, first served, but I do suggest the characters being around PL 10, this will be combat heavy.
  13. Guardian Take It To The Limit (Finished, 9 posts) Recuriting (In progress, 1 post) Opening Night at Le Exotique (In progress, 4 posts) Terror of MegaOtaku! (In progress, 2 posts) Total: 16 posts
  14. Craig was still standing by the wall when Kenneth opened the doors and gave a small speech. "Hmm. So that's our gracious host. Not exactly what I was expecting, but appearances can be deceiving." Not wishing to look pompous, Craig waited a bit longer, while some other people went in. Of special note was Kurtis Smith. Craig started to move forward to talk to him, but thought better of it. "Man, he looks pooped. I'll see if I can get him later, once he's had something to eat." Craig waited a couple more minutes, and then went up to the entrance himself. A couple more minutes of waiting for the host to come back, and then he mentioned "Anywhere is fine, for me." He then followed the host to his seat, about medium distance from the band. He gently sat down, then started examining the menu.
  15. Can I assume that there's more food than JUST hot-dogs and lemonade? Like burgers, pop, maybe even steak? It sounds like the military is going all out with this shindig, so I thought I'd get this clarified.

    Recruiting

Craig had seen some of the posters around town, and decided to check out the rally. For the most part, he was just there to enjoy himself, get some free food, and enjoy fireworks, rather than the recruitment drive. He had no intention of ever taking a human life, especially not for selfish reasons like expansion. Nonetheless, the rest of the rally sounded like fun (And a possible target by any number of criminal elements), and so here he is, outside the Lincoln Youth Center.
  17. I'm a little confused. Is this taking place inside, or outside the LYC? The wording indicates both, with it sounding like it's inside, but things like having barbecues indicates outside.

    Recruiting

I'd like to have Guardian there to keep watch, but if something the recruiters say irks him, he's going to jump in and argue it, but he won't be in the main protester group. Edit: I'm only signing up if this takes place in July 1 or later, otherwise it'll mess with Guardian's timeline too much.
  19. Craig was standing by a wall a bit away from the doors, wearing a black suit and matching dress pants, his hair combed back to look neat, fresh and clean in preparation for the event. He was watching, waiting for the restaurant to open, when he heard some unfamiliar music. Sounded good, but as Craig noted, an odd choice of instrument. He was more focused on the person playing the vibraphone, thinking to himself "So that's Sparksmith, huh? He's pretty lucky, being able be out in the open like that. I think I'll go say hi to him, when he's done, and if he's available."
  20. Gather Information check on Sparksmith (8+2=10) (The bonus accidentally says +1, but it's +2, since I have a CHA of 14. I just mistyped the bonus, is all.)
  21. This probably won't be up for a while, I need to get a couple other things out of the way, and figure out who I'm going to use for the villains guarding the bombs. It should be up before summer's end, though.
  22. Well, you could TRY, but the explosion has enough power to level a square mile; your power wouldn't be able to stop it. I will say this, though. The villains will know how to disable the bomb they're guarding, so you could get it out of them any number of ways, or disable the bomb through the "Disable Device" skill. Also, signups are not open yet. I still need to get some mechanical details straight, so this thread is currently just a call to get someone to help, as I haven't run an adventure before.
  23. Guardian turned towards The Scarab and gave her a firm handshake. "Yeah, it's 'Guardian'. Also, thank you, Scarab. It's thanks to you that Sylph was stopped at all, and I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't shown up. The guy Sylph was holding hostage might have died. Also, I really appreciate you showing me where Professor Fathom was, it let me get a good lick on him." Releasing The Scarab's hand, he continued. "Anyways, I would really like to stay and chat, get to know some of the other heroes in this city through something other than word of mouth, but I have to get going before I get in trouble. Maybe next time, if circumstances permit?"
  24. So i had an idea I thought I'd share, for someone more competent at game design that I am (Although I wouldn't mind GM'ing this with help from someone else). The idea I had, which (unintentionally) rips off "Wild Cards" from Justice League, goes like this: Someone (Most likely Conundrum) has set up several bombs (I don't know what a good amount would be, but I was thinking 4-6, with an hour before detonation), and a certain group of heroes (I.E. whoever signs up for the adventure) has to defuse them, with them going off if anyone else attempts to disarm them, or if they're moved. Of course, they'd also be dimensionally anchored where they are, just so nobody gets the bright idea of teleporting them into space. Anyways, the catch is that each bomb is guarded by at least 1, but more likely 2 or 3 supervillains at each location, and that they must be defused in order, with the next location being revealed once the current one is diffused. The variation off of the other idea, once I realized how close this was to "Wild Cards", was to just completely rip it off. Several bombs are scattered all over the city (They can either be all real, or some fake), and have one supervillain at each location (Regardless if they're fake or not). This adventure would be open to any and all PC's, and could be led by the Crime League. It'd be a pain to keep the time frame organized for this one, though, so unless you're really good with keeping chronological order, I wouldn't suggest this one.
  25. Actually, I'm just about finished doing one with Shaen, so this can be locked.
