  1. Initiative roll for Guardian (16+1=17) Also burning an HP for the Quick Change feat.
  2. Craig had just come back, and picked up the jackhammer. It was barely on for a minute when the two criminals went into the bank, shattering glass and damaging the bank's entrance. While looking at the bank, somewhat surprised, several thoughts ran through his head. "Ok, let's see here. I think that was some sort of stone golem, and a fire man, so I don't think anybody else is going into that bank. The glass might cause some problems, but I can't do anything about that. I'm most likely the closest person available to respond, so now I just need to figure out how to get away. This train of thought was interrupted by Craig's foreman, saying to stay on this side of the street. Chris decided on a course of action. He continued working for a few seconds, turned the jackhammer off, and used his strength to jam the switch. When a regular flick wouldn't turn it back on, he said to the other workers "Hey, guys? The jackhammer's not working again. I'm going to go and get the replacement, let the boss know if he gets back." And with that, he ran off, turning into the nearest alleyway. When the coast was clear, he quickly changed into his clothes, and flew into the bank, through the hole the criminals made.
  3. Nonono, you misunderstand. I meant that they were good suggestions, but my lack of experience prevents me from actually utilizing the information effectively. No blame on your shoulders, none at all.
  4. I really want to do a solo adventure, foiling a robbery at a bank, or some similar location. The thing is, I really don't have any experience at planning this sort of stuff, or playing the game in general. So I was wondering if someone either has a similar adventure planned, or if they could help me make a quick one, and GM it. ((Raveled suggested, for this, a canon villain, and I don't know who, and some thugs 1/2 to 2/3 my PL, and I don't know how many.))
  5. Sure, Craig could come. He's never seen a restaurant opening before.
  6. Characters Name: Guardian Power Level: 10 (152/155) Trade-Offs: [-4 Attack for +4 Damage, -4 Defense for +4 Toughness] Unspent PP: 3 Gold Status: 5/30 Alternate Identity: Craig Carter Age: 24 (born August 28, 1985) Gender: Male Height: 5’11 Weight: 220 lb Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Description: His costume is blue for the limbs, and the head, while the torso is white. Covering the face is a mask, which only shows the eyes. Out of costume, he looks like a fairly average guy. Clean shaven, short hair, fairly rounded face, slightly square jaw, a good set of muscles and wearing a tank-top & jeans combo. History: Craig Carter was always an active and healthy person, even as a kid. He played baseball, basketball, and street hockey regularly. He would spend as much time as he could outdoors, taking in the fresh air, kicking back, and listening to the sounds of nature. Craig's parents both work for the government, as they believe that doing this is the best way to help people. His mother, Diana Carter, is an examiner at the Freedom Medical Examiner's Office, while his father, Fred Carter, is an office clerk at City Hall. Both of them trust Craig completely, although they do worry that while cleaning up, he’ll get hurt. Craig has a somewhat steady job with the Freedom City Public Works. Sure, there are reconstruction projects that keep him busy, but there's the occasional lull when the supers just don’t fight for a few days, for some reason or another. Still, it pays the bills, and he’s happy with it, because just like his parents, he wants to help the public. However, he always wished he could do more. When Craig was old enough, he started camping at every opportunity. At first, it was with his parents overnight. Then it was by himself. As he got older, he stayed for the weekend, and sometimes for a whole week, if he can. It was on one such camping trip that the incident happened. A strange object fell from the sky, close to where Craig was camping. Being curious, he went to investigate. Strangely for such an object, it wasn’t radiating any heat. Craig got closer, and touched the object, the object being roughly the size of a fist. Immediately after, he passed out. It was morning when Craig woke up, and the object was nowhere to be seen. Feeling a bit light headed, he decided to go home early. He got the bedroll, and some other small items packed up, but when he got to the axe, he had a bit of a dizzy spell and it slipped from his hand, and fell blade first onto his foot. By all means, it should have cut his foot off, if not inflicting serious harm, but to his astonishment, he didn’t feel a single scratch. Figuring the strange object from last night had something to do with it (Which it had, it somehow was absorbed by Craig), he decided to see what else he could do, before he headed back. After some trial and error, he was delighted to find out that both his hardiness and strength had increased several times. Most surprising, though, was the ability to fly. There was one last surprise in store for Craig. On his way home, he felt like listening to some music, so he turned on the radio to some rock. It was only after he got home, and the car was off, that he realized that he could still hear the music. (He wouldn’t figure out that he was immune to sickness, among other things, for a while yet.) Craig’s first thought was to call his parents. However, working in the FCPW has given some perspective on just how much damage conflicts do, and he doesn’t want to put his parents at risk. Nonetheless, he had gotten the chance he dreamed of. He could help the public in a much bigger way, now. Not only could he help clean up the city even better, although he’d have to be careful to not show off his enhanced strength, but he’d be able to fight alongside the other forces of good, protecting the innocent. As such, he chose the name “Guardianâ€. Personality & Motivation: Constantly active and alert, Craig is always on the lookout for trouble. He’s also headstrong, and has a tendency to go rushing towards the problem without really thinking about it. He doesn’t think of himself as superior. For motivations, as he was raised, his parents instilled a sense of duty towards other people in him. As such, he wishes to protect people whenever he can, and makes their safety the top priority. Powers & Tactics: The very first thing he’ll do, if applicable, is ensure the citizen’s safety, either by carrying them away if there’s a couple, or taking hits until they can run to safety, if there’s several. After that, if there are a large group of minions, he’ll use Takedown Attack in order to disable them. If there is no such group, or after he’s taken out a large group, he’ll attack the main target. Complications: Responsibility (Protecting Citizens): Craig has sworn that he’ll do the utmost in his power to protect civilians, and put them first and foremost. Responsibility (Job): Craig still needs to pay the bills, and he has to make sure that he performs his job well, or be out on the streets. Responsibility (Family): Craig really cares for his family. He still wants, and needs, to interact with them, as well as being protective of them as Guardian. Secret (Identity): In order to keep himself, and those he cares about, safe, Craig is absolutely determined to keep his identity from being revealed. In Brief: A standard Cape, putting citizens first. 7. Bio updated. Also, I'm putting this request on hold. I plan on creating a powered hero (One that I can think up plots for), and use this some other time.
  8. Made a minor edit a few hours ago, forgot to mention. Added fedora to character description. ...What? I said it was minor.
  9. Characters Name: Tracer Power Level: 10 (150/150) Trade-Offs: +4 Attack for -4 Damage; +4 Defense for -4 Toughness Unspent PP: 0 Alternate Identity: Gregory Goode Age: 32 (born November 27, 1978) Gender: Male Height: 6 feet, 2 inches Weight: 250 pounds Eyes: Blue Hair: Dark brown Description: Taller than average, and a bit on the burly side. While on the job, he wears a gray trench coat, gray fedora, dark red shirt and matching pants, as well as a gray domino mask. He has 5’o clock shadow, and short hair. History: Gregory Goode was a good kid. He was active, and he always got good grades in school, and read various kinds of books. His favorite books were adventure and mystery, and in particular, he was always fascinated with private eyes. Wanting to become one himself, he’d hone his skills, looking into law and training himself to always be on the lookout. On October 19, 2000, Gregory opened a private eye business of his own. He didn't get much business at first, and figured that he needed to focus on something. He decided to focus on superpowered crimes, and take on supers as clients, and to help fit the specialization, as well as attract customers who wanted a certain degree of confidentiality, and took on the name "Tracer" while on the job. This also afforded him a degree of protection against revenge. He'll take on pretty much any client, unless they're clearly on the wrong side of the law, and will preform almost any request that his clients ask of him. Gregory’s happiest moment was when he married Elise Irvine, a prosecutor, on August 12, 2002. They had met 6 months earlier, late at night in a coffee shop. Elise was working late on a case, and Gregory, in regular clothes, was taking a well-earned break, after finishing an investigation. The coffee shop was oddly busy that night, and lacking an empty seat or booth, Elise sat down in the same one Gregory was in. The two got to chatting, and fell in love instantly. On March 9, 2005, Elise was killed in their own home, while Gregory was out investigating some stolen jewelry. Elise was working on a case, where if successful, would have dealt a large blow to the Mafia by taking out key figures of the Mafia’s laundering, crippling their cash flow in the process. The killer was never caught, but Gregory has always assumed it was the Mafia, for obvious reasons, and takes it upon himself to put a crimp in their organization when possible. Gregory still runs his private eye business, and works diligently as per the client’s requests. However, he spends his available time tracking down leads, thwarting crimes in progress, trying to bring down the Mafia, and track down Elise’s killer. Also, the police have become frequent clients. Gregory has a reputation for being effective, and when the police are stretched too thin, or need something kept on the DL, they call him, often to track down (and capture, if he has a chance), or gather intel on various supers. Personality & Motivation: A gruff guy, fairly cynical. Tends to be at least a little suspicious of someone he meets for the first time, but is a good friend to have. He feels the loss of his wife to this day, crying to himself every so often, although he’d never admit this to anyone. He’s motivated by a desire for revenge on the Mafia for his wife, a desire to put criminals behind bars so that what happened to him doesn’t happen to someone else, and, when on a job, the client’s wishes and best interests. Powers & Tactics: No powers. Tries to extract information when possible, and in combat, will focus on targets in the following order: Mafia members > weaker opponents > stronger opponents. Uses knife in close combat, heavy pistol when further away. Complications: Hatred: The Mafia Enemy: The Mafia Responsibility: Clients In Brief: An effective private eye out for revenge on the Mafia, in between clients. 10. Hi. Like the above, I found this via TVTropes. I've also never actually played M&M, but I hope to learn. Anyways, posting to say "Hi".
