  1. "You really are pretty damn tough, aren't ya?" grimaced the archer, taking out an arrow and ignoring the melee around him. If he could overdraw the shot and hit Smash between the eyes, maybe he'd finally go down... It was worth a try, at least.

  2. Awww... everyone seems to be busy. Trust Darian to get roped into fixing stuff. "Ok, I'll go put up your Happy Hallowe'en barrier if you all seem to be busy..." muttered Chris, grabbing the barrier, a couple of nails and a hammer, before stuffing the hammer into his belt. Then he ran straight up the wall, quickly and deftly hammering one end into place. "One end, aaaaaand..." he dragged the 'aaaa' sound out as he pulled the banner along the wall until the message was clearly displayed, before hammering in the other end.

"Geckomaaaaaaaaan!" said Chris triumphantly, raising his arms in a two-fisted gesture of victory... before gravity caught up and he tumbled down the wall to the floor.

  3. "Watch it kid, this'll be dangerous. It could ignite at any second for all we know." Arrowhawk fired his grappling gun and moved further down towards where the pile-up was most severe. "Please, if you need help, shout if you can!"

  4. I disagree with your second point on Luck as there are human-level characters without it, but I added it anyway as the first part makes sense.

Not ones I've had anything to do with the build of ;)

Right, now onto Geckoman's measly 2 pp.

I'd like to add 1 rank of Equipment, used to add:

    A grappling hook (Super-Movement 1 [swinging]) for 2 ep.

And a lightflier station built by Quark added to the powers of the Pitchoo as: Flight 3 (50 MPH, Extras: Affects Others Only, Flaws: Platform) for 3 ep.

I'd also like 1 pp in skills, assigned as 2 ranks in Bluff, and 2 in Knowledge: Technology. The Bluff is a natural evolution of his already-honed talents, and the Knowledge: Technology comes from hanging around with Quark in conjunction with his studies.

  5. "Not to my knowledge, but then again..." he said, as something caught his eye. "Yeah, here's another one I didn't notice before." He flipped it open, before looking very perplexed. "That's a bit too complicated-looking for my liking..."

  6. John Fraser ran out of the building, running into the alleyway. I have to help these people out... He quickly changed into his Arrowhawk costume, grabbing his bow and quiver from inside his motorbike. Screeching out of it, he raced towards the crash, cape streaming behind him.

Oh god... that's bigger than it looked like on the news. He stood stunned for a moment, before dismounting and running towards the wreckage. "Anyone? Call out if you need help!" he shouted as he peered through wrecked glass. "I'm here to help!"

  7. Arrowhawk got 4 pp, yay!

I'd like to give him Favored Enemy (Mobsters) 1, and give him 2 ranks in Gather Information and 2 in Knowledge: Streetwise. I'd also like to put 1 point in Fortitude save.

I'd also like to put in a rank of Luck. I know that feat goes under more scrutiny, so here's my justification:

I've had a couple of realisations about Luck lately, which really boil down to opinion but, hey, I think they're valid anyway. The first is that Luck should really be called Heroism, as it gives hero points, and as I've played him over the past couple of months, one of Arrowhawk's character traits has seemed to become a sort of stubborn heroism. The second is that I've tried to keep his capabilities human-level, and realistically a human in a metahuman business like superheroics needs luck.

There's also a couple of errors on his sheet. His Intimidate modifier is +10, and in his bow the Snare has swinging listed after it.

    Thanks for your time.

  8. The first question is whether the Tough feat from Mastermind's Manual would be allowed. It's basically Protection 1, taken as a non-ranked feat.

The second is on Autofire. Arrowhawk has a full-round action autofire attack. However, to attack multiple targets, covering fire or suppressing fire is a full-round action by default, so would this mean that it bumps the actions for these up to an unfeasible 1 minute?

If so, would it be acceptable to change the action flaw to another one such as Distracting under the logic of 'oops, I didn't actually do what I meant for it to do' ?

  9. ... or not, because the link isn't even showing up in the bar except as some sort of very thin blue line which doesn't do anything. I've deleted all my cookies, etc etc, all the stuff you usually do, but the link refuses to appear. Is it actually down for everyone, or just me?

If the latter, I'd appreciate someone posting a URL so I can try it out that way.

  10. Geckoman jumped over to the controls, flicking switches and twirling a handle around (which looked different enough from the other controls for it to be debateable as to whether it was actually a part of the ship). "I'm fairly sure there's a way to open a hatch to the engine. Didn't take too close a look in case I made it explode or something. Some people build things as if buttons aren't made to be pressed, dunno why." He twirled the handle experimentally, before kicking the panelling and trying one other button. Whoooooooooosh!

A panel opened up in the back wall, exposing a smallish room surrounded by metal piping and tubing.

  11. Something big? Damn, if tonight is any indication then I'm too old to do this properly. I need to sleep. He jogged along to the edge of the building, jumping and diving off the edge, swinging up with his grappling hook. I think I've broken a rib, winced Arrowhawk as he rolled onto a rooftop and kept moving.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In his room, John took off his costume slowly and gingerly, examining his wounds. His shoulder was charred from the blast, and there was some bruising from the heavy punches the mobster had thrown at him. Have to track down that weapons shipment... he thought as he passed out on the bed. Got to... stop them...

  12. "Damn. I would've got him if I'd planned for the amount of high-tech they were packing. Maybe that'd be a way to track down Mancini. There can't be too many people importing blaster weaponry to the city, and a bit less of that number sell them to the mob." He sighed deeply. "I'll have to do it another night, I'm too beat up now." Arrowhawk proferred his hand to Foreshadow. "I'm sure we'll run into each other again," he smiled, from the darkness under his hood.
