  1. "Judy!"

A beautiful redhead in pink and black flew over Charlie's head, swooping upward to drop down next to the young couple. Lulu was wearing pink Hi-Tops, black jeans, and a black puffy jacket with pink fake fur trim around the hood. She turned and smiled at the boy.

    "Hi Micah!"

Then she threw her arms around Judy in a hug that was both physical and emotional, as her love for her best friend washed over the former president's daughter.

"Mmmm, it's so good to see you!"

  2. Shift was more than happy to change targets, and rolled to his feet. His IR vision quickly picked out the whip wielder, and his right arm stretched into a long lash of his own! He brought it up over his head and swung it towards Stinger, but she must have heard it coming, as she nimbly stepped out of it's path.

  3. Lulu smiled. "Yeah, me, too. Despite all the sh## you had to go through here, ah think it made you a stronger person. And like you said, we got to meet each other; no way that would happen if we both didn't end up here. So there's that."

The telepath took a deep breath and leaned against her friend, sending out pleasant vibes to match Judy's warmth. Beneath all the weirdnesses, they were just two girls who liked to hang out together, and that was fine.

  4. Okay, Lulu's plan right now is to use her Selective Concealment to give herself Partial Concealment, essentially making her form somewhat blurry, and then pick the cannonball up with her Move Object and slam it in the ground in an attempt to destroy it.

Not sure what to roll to do that, if anything.

  5. Christmas shopping! It was one of Lulu's favorite things to do, so she tried to stretch it out as long as possible, setting aside one day for each person on her list so she could do it as casually as possible, with plenty of breaks got window shopping and coffee breaks.

She had saved the best for last: Adam. This typically involved a nice mix of clothes (Lulu knew all the good Big & Tall shops in Freedom), books and games, as well as silly stuff to fill out a stocking. She'd heard good things about this store in Riverside, one of her favorite neighborhoods, so after dropping off several bags at her SUV at the Millennium Mall parking garage, she hopped on the monorail for her last shop of the day.

Once she got there, she smiled at the awkward little dance the three folks did in the door, smiling brightly as she offered a Southern-tinged "Thank you, ma'am" to the young foreign visitor. But once inside, her eyes went wide at the sound of struggle.

"Y'know what, don't mind me, sir," she whispered to the portly, well-dressed gentleman. "You won't even know that ah'm here..." And with that, she promptly vanished from view! Meanwhile the now invisible psychic moved closer to the noise.

  6. Lulu shrugged.

"Well, ah know ah want to get mah doctorate in psychology, so grad school is really more important there than undergrad. Harvard and Yale both have good programs, but ah'd kind of like to hang around Freedom a bit longer. FCU's got a solid program. 'Course the best schools for psych are on the West Coast, so ah might end up in Cali for grad school..."

The redhead she sighed and rested her face in her hand.

"Lord, where does the time go? High school is like sand through your fingers; you think you'll have all the time in the world to just hang out, and it's gone before you know it."

  7. "Ahh, it burns," cried the teen robot. Shift's nanomass had built-in pain receptors to trigger defensive reactions, but they were so rarely triggered that he almost never experienced actual pain. He released his quarry as the acid sizzled on his chest and he fell to one side in shock.

  8. Okay, so not ghost pirates then, Lulu thought as she winced in pain from the pistol shot. But she could take a hit, more of she had to, but her first thought was to follow Pan's instructions. If there one thing she'd learned all those hours playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on her family's old N64, it's that you had to take out the damn generators as fast as possible!

Fading from view until she was little more than a blur in the air, Lulu reached out with her mind to grab the nearest cannonball, and smash it into the ground as hard as she could.

  9. As she continued to dig her herself deeper and deeper into a hole, Lulu considered (just for a second!) erasing all memories of this conversation from Judy's head. But that would be wrong, because Judy was her friend. Clutching her face with her hand, the telepath sighed deeply.

"I, uh, I... that's... not somethin' we've ever discussed. Ah mean, ah'd be fine with that, if he ever...oof, y'know what? Let's, let's talk about somethin' else for a little bit, okay? How's Ashley, how's she doin'?"

  10. Seeing the blue square beneath her turning to liquid, Shift decided to beat it to the punch. The chess piece melted like black ice, slipping through the blue plastic with ease as it formed an outline around the edges of the square, just out of reach of the plastic.

The now super maleable teen rippled like bubbling crude oil, waiting for the next die roll.
