Technology. Machines. Only these things floated in the creature's mind. It desired the warm taste of oil pouring down its throat. Nothing else mattered to the creature as it moved through the streets of The Boardwalk. Suddenly, a image of a very powerfully armored man filled its mind. Fear. An emotion that it just had never experienced before accompanied the memory. The creature shook its head and the image faded. It continued moving after its companions, already frogetting the strange experience.

Various memories are surfacing in the creature that is Sammy. As the images come closer to the present, he'll gain control and return.

The presence of Sammy is slowly returning. Soon he'll gain enough strength to return to normal.

The creature moved quickly through the streets, following its minions. The smell of technology was all around and the bright lights of the casinos loomed in the distance. He stopped as he caught sight of a billboard promoting tourism to Alaska. The advertisement carried an image of a couple staring up at the Aurora Borealis. Below the picture was written a message urging people to travel to the great state to see the northern lights. The image of the lights caught his eyes and the creatures again had an image flash in its mind. Three cases of colored glass rocks filled his mind and the feeling of desire though none of the stones carried the smell of machinery upon them. The creature shook its head and the image faded, but the feeling of desire for the stones remained. Something was changing within the creature and it was unsure how to react to the feeling.

EVERYONE Conversation at the gate continued with people making small groups. Most of the people that you had talked to seemed to be originally of this place and era. Only a handful of people seemed to have been "brought" here from a more distant time. Surprisingly, it seems that none had come exactly from the same time as notes are compared. Whatever had drawn you here had to have a lot of power. You continued your conversation getting to know the others like you when a loud trumpet sounded, ending the various conversations. Everyone looked up at gate and the doors swung open letting everyone into the courtyard. Without a reason to stay outside, you moved in with your group, joining the other heroes present. It wasn't long before two men stepped out onto a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The first man that came out brought tears to your eyes as for the first time, you could see the familiar face of Centurion. Those most had not met the great man, you all had seen the statue dedicated to him. Just like everyone else, his appearance was slightly altered to match the present era. He carried a helmet in the crutch of his arm as he looked down upon all the participants. Stepping to his right, came a sight you weren't prepared to see. Standing in all black full plate armor was none other than Omega himself. He stood at Centurion's side, looking over the gathered people. As his gaze passed you, you couldn't help but shudder slightly in discomfort. Satisfied with what he saw, Omega nodded slightly and Centurion raised his hand. "Welcome to Freedom Reach! I am Centurion, protector of this great city. Today, you have all answered my call to join in protecting this city and lands beyond it. Unlike the years in the past, I need more than one new knight this year. So this tourney, unlike the previous years, will involve cooperative challenges. When the trials are completed, I will be choosing those that have showed the ability to work well in a team. So choose your team, three or more in each group." You see the others present begin to move about forming groups, mostly of three.

Boomer The group of gremlins kept following the pretty lights that made up Boomer's form. Suddenly they began to disappear as their connection to the world was severed. Soon, Boomer was alone. He could see Atlas and Dr Archeville still int he center area of the mall, also alone.

Atlas and Dr Archeville The gremlin within Atlas hands continues to squirm within his hands ignoring his captive's words. Suddenly it disappeared just as the other creatures in sight did so as well. Soon, Atlas and the Doctor were alone.

Zealot Zealot works frantically to close the envelope which lessens the flow of magical energy but the seal was broken. With no other course left to him, the villain slammed his scourge into the ground with tremendous force. A wave of magical energy billowed out from the weapon rolling ever further outward. The magical energy pouring from the envelope suddenly stops as Zealot's power washes over it. The gremlins caught in the area also disappear once their connection is cut off. Gremlins begin disappearing from the area as the connection to the world. With the envelope out of commission, the results are like a domino effect. The creatures new to the world and closer to Zealot's wave of power begin to disappear quickly. As seconds pass, creatures outside of the area begin to disappear as well.

Very sorry for the missing time. October was a major change in schedule that needed time to adjust to. Let me see what's happened and get us moving again. For the two villains in the game, Exile and Witch. If you're both still interested in playing them they can remain, or you can replace them with your Hero aspects. The choice is yours.

Zealot and Leon Mighty Zealot opens the envelop and looks inside only to see a dark void of magical energy. Studying the opened envelope and the void of magical energy, distracted him as a sudden stream of magical power poured through the rift. Gremlins in the hundreds formed around the two heroes and work station. The two women screamed as the dark magical energy poured from the open envelope only to form the green skinned creatures. The creatures struck out at various targets in sight. Their claws ripped into the workstation exposing the wiring within. A few struck out at Leon but the fighter evaded the majority of the blows. A few struck out at Zealot but the armored mage killer managed to keep his wits to avoid their attacks. He could see the results of their touch as they struck the work station. The stand seemed to crumple with ease under their hands. All the while, the magical energy kept pouring out the envelop, causing more gremlins to form in the mall. Zealot's understanding of magic let him know that the envelop was a regulator of how much magical energy could be released. As long as it was opened, there was no way to stem the flow of energy.

And the would be 11 toughness (gadget 1 and basic 10) - 8 for a toughness of +3 vs DC 23 or toughness +11 vs DC 32 (Normal DC 23 +8 from the object losing the toughness right away not DC 23.) That means with your roll of a 15 (Toughness +11 and +4) you fail by 17 rendering the device inoperable for the rest of the adventure. If the above is incorrect, let me know. But the toughness save is done form the adjusted score.

Atlas & Dr. Archeville The small creature continued to struggle in Atlas' strong grip but the struggling stopped when it noticed Archeville moving towards it. Its gaze focused upon the strange device that the good Doktor had produced and saliva dripped from its mouth as the needle came closer and closer. As soon as the needle touched its skin, the creature smiled and it unleashed its power.

Leon Mighty and Zealot The staff worker jumped slightly at Zealot's request. She took a moment to glance at Leon for any signs of what she should do, but the fear in his stance was clear. She quickly nodded her head and proceeded to produce a set of keys. Not wanting to get anywhere near the armored man, she tossed the key ring towards Zealot. "It's the small one," she said as she inched away from the box and closer to her companion. Zealot easily caught the keys and fitted the small key into the box. Inside, with his magical senses he could see an envelope partially buried under loose paper.

Leon Mighty and Zealot Leon saw the impressive armored man approach the booth and something about the way he moved, the look in his eyes, reached deep into the strong man's heart. A small amount of fear reached his heart causing sweat to bead upon his head. Zealot continued moving towards the booth, aware that his presence had the proper effect upon the shirtless hero. Once there, he began to look about, following his magical senses to find the source of the problem. It doesn't take him long to see that all the magical energy was coming from what looked like a small mail slot within the booth. The slot was marked for comments and suggestions from customers.

Atlas and Doktor Archeville Atlas moves quickly and grabs one of the two remaining gremlins on the walkway. The large man easily manages to pin the creature in his hands. He lifted the creature up so that the floating Doktor could see the creature better. All the attention on the one creature left the last one on the walkway free. It looked up at the floating technology, spittle dripping from its mouth. Unable to resist its base instincts, it raced up Atlas, using the large man as a base. It leaped at Archeville, but the distance was just too great. Archeville managed to lift slightly higher and the creature soared out into the air. It disappeared once it hit the ground. Coming form the Gadgets R' Us store, Archeville can see a light form moving with a train of gremlins in its wake.

X-Ray would still show a form present with bone structure. A blood sample, which would mean getting very close to the creature, and they are immobile while pinned, not helpless. Want to chance getting a blood sample?

Leon Mighty and Zealot Leon looked about but didn't see anything that could be controlling the creatures. Most of the people that he sees are moving quickly out of the mall in large groups. The large movement of people out of the mall only helped Zealot's concealment form the hero and the women working in th small booth. He sensed no magic coming from neither the women or the muscled man. Instead, the traces of magic were coming from the booth itself. Getting closer to the booth would allow him to pinpoint the exact location. However, getting closer would mean detection by the muscled man.

Boomer Boomer began to move slowly out of the store. Just as he hoped, the gremlins began to follow after him. They moved slightly sluggishly but eagerly after the light slow. People, having been warned to leave the mall, tried to give as much space to the light show and legion of gremlin followers. Boomer could see near the middle of the mall the two heroes from before.
