Doktor Archeville The Dr. was sitting in the food court, enjoying a meal as he rested during his shopping. The loud screams coming from the floor below was the first sign that something was terribly wrong. The blast of light that followed and then the sound of the light fixture falling to the ground sealed the deal. People ran to the escalators to head down to see what was going on. Dr. Archeville had also moved to the escalator and was just in time to see it stop suddenly sending a few people to the land in a pile at the feet of a muscled man. From his position, Dr. Archeville could just make out a small green creature moving away from the muscled man.

Atlas Atlas was unaware of the light show occurring behind him. He raced towards the gremlin and failed to hit it. The attempt however, did draw the creature's attention who turned and struck out at the muscled man. Its aim was just as bad and darted away from the man. Smoke seeped from the escalator before sparks flew out the device. The escalator suddenly stopped throwing people forward off balance. A few people tumbled down the escalator to land before Samael. Groans of pain as well as the smell of blood from cuts came from the small pile of people. The gremlin laughed at the scene as it continued running from Samael. AS the creature ran, Samael heard the light fixture fall behind him. He can see Leon and further down, Boomer.

Zealot Zealot moved away from the bookstore and the sight of the paranormals at the other end of the floor, though he could do little to avoid the eyes of the many people around him. He began to follow the tracks of the gremlins, but the task was just too difficult for him to find a source as the trails continued to be crossed by the creatures. To his sense, it was as if he had entered a Family Circus cartoon strip. The creatures were all over the mall and Zealot could see tracks leading both to and from the first and third floors. The trail was simply too complex for him to follow using his passive senses. As he moved along, he did catch sight of a few of the gremlins. They were mostly involved with ripping into various machines. Most people were too interested in Zealot's armored form to even notice the small creatures all around them.

Boomer Boomer shifted his power in an unusual fashion that brought him next to the woman. The hero grabbed the woman and was suddenly back where he started with the woman. The light show did not go unnoticed by the various people around him. The people moved away as Boomer reappeared in the same location. The woman looked up at her saver and smiled. "Thank you." Just then, the light fixture fell to the second floor.

Yup. Still room. I saved you a spot. Third floor food court, sounds good. I'll get a post out starting you off soon.

Okay. The stunt works. You get an HP back for the stunt as well, so Boomer now has 1HP

Did he just eat that guy? That is just gross! Work with a demon and this is the kind of weird stuff I have to put up with. I'll have to remember not to be around when he's wounded badly. I would hate to find myself on the dinner menu! Now to get through this door. I hope Belphegor can still be convincing with his stomach full.

"Exactly. Besides, I really am not interested in gold. Too easy to get your hand on." Ghost looks at Belphegor and frowns. "Don't let that stuff tempt you now. WE can always come back and pick it up after we're in prime shape. Not like it's going to move very far."

Witch Blackbird took her time walking about the city streets, getting an understanding of her surroundings. She smiled as she passed a group of college students. They were easy marks for someone of her skills but she had promised the Headmistress to keep a low profile. The Shadow Academy wanted to keep their existence as secret as possible. To most patrons of Freedom City, the school was simply a boarding school for the rich and powerful. Blackbird turned the corner, ready to return to the campus, when everything changed. Gone were the high rise buildings. Gone were the concrete paved streets with cars whizzing pass. Gone were the girls in high fashion. In their place, Blackbird saw small thatched roofs that lined cobblestoned roads. Horse drawn carts moved along the roads, avoiding the stalls lining the market area. Blackbird looked down at her clothing and noted that she wore her costume which fit more into the changes than it did in her own time.

We'll go with Witch then. She seems very interesting and even at the lower PL, she shouldn't have a problem. I like to make the stories work for all characters. Besides, with Exile in the thread, another villain is needed.

Ghost looked over his should at the coins and frowned. "That's not why we came here, Bel. We only need one coin and I have that." Ghost took a moment to take out the coin he had placed safely in his pocket. He turned it over slightly to let Belphegor get a good look at it as well. "In my line of work, you take only what you planned to take. It helps make sure you get out on time and undetected." Ghost looked at the various debris from the fights and smiled. "Well, maybe not always undetected. Come on. Forget the other stuff and let's get out of here. I'd like to get these strings of us as soon as possible!"

I would prefer that most rolls go here in the OOC thread, but I have no problems with also linking it in your IC post.

Which would you like to play? All of the other characters are PL 10 and up but I have no problems with mixing PLs. I would suggest Angle, but with Exile joining the game, another villain doesn't hurt. Right now, I've got Doc A, Angel/Witch, Jack of all Blades, Dark Star, Twilight Gryphon, and Exile then. Six is about good. You're in. give a few days to get you two moving though. I got caught up with the Reading Bug which has cut into my PbP time. :oops:

Ghost shook his hand again, trying to making sure that he still have full feeling it. "Bel," he called over his shoulder. "Get ready to run." 'Doesn't seem to be any traps on this thing. I hope this is what we were supposed to get.' Ghost grabbed the coin and quickly pocketed it. The thief didn't wait around to see what might happen. He turned and ran back to Belphegor, helping the demon to his feet. "Come on, Bel, we're almost free of this debt. All we need to do now is get out."

EVERYONE Okay. To make things easier to understand. Boomer can see to the midway area. He can see both Leon and barely Samael. Zealot, who is on the opposite side from Boomer, can see both Samael and Leon. The light fixture is between Samael and Leon. [Think of this as the center point.] So we have the following set up: Boomer-------Leon---Light fixture---Samael---------Zealot I hope that helps. Leon can reach the light fixture with a move action and an Acrobatics check of 15 [which he can make Auto, no roll needed.] Status Leon -- 1 HP Boomer -- 2 HP Dr. Archvielle -- 4 HP Atlas -- 2 HP Zealot -- 1 VP 1)Gremlins are all minions. 2)DEF +4 (Elusive Target), Toughness +2 [Protection 3],F+2, R+2, W+3 [Fearless]

Leon Leon flipped out of the window just in time to see a blast of light coming from a costumed hero near the Gadgets R' Us. The blast struck the ceiling and Leon just made out the sight of a gremlin disappearing. The light fixture that the creature was at suddenly broke away, sending an electric cable down to dangle over a group of bystanders. People began to run in an attempt to escape the deadly cable. Unfortunately, an old woman was knocked to the ground by the rush of people. There was no way for her to escape the electric cable. Beyond this group, Leon could see the bounding form of the muscle man still chasing after one of the gremlins. Beyond him, in front of the bookstore, Leon could just make out another costumed figure.

Zealot Zealot returned to the bookstore and let his senses reach out over the area. He easily counted twenty of the magical gremlins in various locations through the bookstore. Tracking the creatures showed their paths had originated somewhere outside within the mall itself. People had moved out of the costumed villain's presence, not knowing what was going on. Outside of the bookstore, Zealot could see a commotion coming from the middle of the floor. A large figure was leaping over people with ease. As he watched, a blast of light shot out coming from out of range of his sight to hit a gremlin hanging in the light fixtures. Once the blast hit, the light swung free, dangling over a group of bystanders trying desperately to get clear of the electric cable sending sparks all around. Through his magical sense, Zealot could see that the mall was infested with the creatures. The numbers were just too great to count.

No problems whatsoever.

At normal speed, with people in the way, Boomer can reach it with a double move and an Acrobatics DC 15 check [No taking ten on the roll.] Flying, is of course within one move action, no Acrobatics check required.

'The Lady does love me!' Ghost turned and moved into the room. "Belphegor, I think I've found what we're looking for! Let's get this thing and go. Ghost took his time checking over the displayed coin, determined not to get caught by another trap. As he worked, he shook his hand that had been stuck by the needle. 'I hope there's no more traps on this thing. We need to get out of here as fast as possible. No telling when that thing is going to wake up.'

Yeah, poison. Got to love it. Fort save 17 If that doesn't make it, I'll be using my VP to make a re-roll.

:oops: D'uoh! You're right. Man I feel stupid. Okay, no people were present to get blasted. I've edited the last post I made for you, taking out the bystanders. If you could redo your last post, I'll continue the story. Sorry about that. :oops:

We're alive! I almost thought we were going to buy the farm on that one! Belphegor looked pretty messed up and after that stunt of mine, I'm not feeling all that great either. Hmmm, these guys are packing some really heavy weaponry. Can't seem to get it to work though. Must be coded for their personal use. Not like I need it. Lady Fortune is always watching out for me. Now all we have to do is get through this door and into the next room to our target. I hope he's in a talking mode!
