Christmas break, though they called it holiday break to be PC, was in full swing, and being as his family lived in the city, Gordy had decided to spend the holidays at home. It would be the first holiday in a new place, now that his dad had gotten a slight promotion, and they'd been saving for a better house since they first moved into the horrible Fens apartment. Sure, it was a little further to the opera house for his mom, but at least she wouldn't have to worry as much about street crime. Gordy has just sat down from bringing his bags in when he hears a commotion outside. Running into the den and looking out the window there, Gordy sees a sleek looking flying saucer(at least, he assumes it's a flying saucer. Maybe a crashed saucer at this point, but a saucer none the less) that has crashed into a building. He can't make out what kind of building from here, but decides he's going to get a better look. Throwing on his winter coat, hat and a scarf, more to obscure his identity then the cold, Gordy makes his way to the crowd of people starting to gather. Turning to the person next to him he asks the obvious question, "What's going on? Aside from a ship just crashed into what looks like a bank."
