  1. Celestia is in the process of joining the Freedom League (as a junior member). I am going to run a few "battles" in the Wreck Room to get more connected to the League. I had planned on bribing Barnum to running a few NPCs, but if there is another PL 10+ hero here who also wants to join the Freedom League, we could both train together in the Wreck Room. Any takers?

  4. Agnes about jumped out of her skin when Lucy spoke, dropping her broom and dustpan. "Whaâ€â€" Visions of Halloween monsters flashed through her head. When she saw it was a girl, she was relieved. Agnes closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Hi," she said. "Are you lost?"

  13. Agnes wasn't sure what to say. Somehow she managed to be right back where she was two years ago when Mr. Summers was trying to get her to go to his school. That was definitely not what Agnes wanted for herself, but after tonight things were different. The armor, the wings . . . this, whatever it was-miracle of metahuman, was obviously bigger than she first thought. Perhaps spending some time with the Freedom League wasn't a bad idea. It certainly couldn't hurt. "Sure," she said. "I'd be happy to." Agnes waved, turned, and headed into the church. There were probably still some injured people who needed tending.

  16. "Ready," Agnes said, but she looked a bit uncomfortable. Whether it was uncertainty about this super-powered stranger, being flown around, or something else Lady Liberty couldn't tell. Agnes awkwardly put her arms around Lady Liberty's neck, and the impossibly strong heroine effortlessly lifted them off the ground. "St. Sebastian's please," Agnes said, closing her eyes. "People are waiting for me there." While they flew, Agnes found it difficult to talk, but did her best to explain in detail the events of the night.

  19. "It's okay," Agnes chimed in, trying to sound upbeat. "I know I'm an orphan. And yeah, I try to stay out of trouble." There was a long pause. "I really need to get, um, back." She waked over to the edge of the roof and looked down. "You think you could . . .?" She pointed down to the street.

  22. "I am from Freedom City," Agnes said, standing to her feet. "I'm just new to playing hero. The costume and all that has never happened before. It's kinda new." Agnes paused. She looked as if what she was thinking troubled her. "Mr. Summers said it might happen like that." The girl lowered her eyes. "I don't know . . . anyway, sorry about hitting you. I just thought . . . well, you know."

  25. Agnes was indeed very Cinderella like. She was wearing an old pair of jeans, a baggy hooded sweatshirt, and had her hair covered by a kerchief. With a broom in one hand as a dustpan in the other, she was the spitting image of black-sheep-labor. Agnes was oblivious to Lucy's arrival. She kept right on working at sweeping up mice droppings. All of the "no kill" traps were empty, but the bait was gone. The mice were apparently smarter than a teenage girl (or the guys who make traps).
