  1. Yep, that looks like one way to do it. Depending on how difficult you want to make it (and therefore, how many heroes or villains would be capable of doing it), you could also add the Action flaw to change it to a full-round action, thereby reducing the pp cost of the ritual to 8 pp. Oddly enough, by spending an extra 3 seconds or so when performing the ritual, you reduce the research time by 32 hours and the setup time by an hour and twenty minutes. How it gets done doesn't matter to me IC, or for that matter, OOC. I just suggested the extra flaw to allow for a PL 6 villain to be able to do it without needing to max out Knowledge (arcane lore) and have a hefty Int bonus to go with it.
  2. Sorry that I don't have time to make the IC post for this yet (it's time for work), but the (successful) save is here. The counterattack is here. I think I hit your proper AC as well, though I definitely hit the lower one. The save DC is DC 27, which is just high enough to get around your Impervious. Barnum, do I get an idea of his Imperviousness with the hit? Doesn't matter for my regular attack, but if I decided to Blast, I'd have to use Power Attack.

  5. I'll have to think about it. I had pictured Heavy at the level of Captain Boomerang or Mirror Master - a supervillain who is somewhat known, but definitely not on the A-list. If that's the case, you would probably know of him. I'll want to give the villains a chance, especially since I see that Bael got sanctioned (and a few of the NPC evil magicians would also work).

  8. Hey there, My villain, Heavy, is looking for a way to transfer the magical runes that are currently enchanting his battlesuit directly to his body. He's putting out feelers in the villain community to see who might be able to do it, and what they would want for it. He's reachable through the standard grapevine (that is, through the Arena). OOC: Specifically, he wants to move the Immunity (aging) from the battlesuit to himself. It'd be a power-point neutral change, assuming one of his current feats gets moved inside the battlesuit to compensate. I had been thinking someone with Ritualist or Artificer might be able to do it, but the refs would be the judge of that.

  11. Heh, I needed to use a hero point as it was. It's an effective roll of 20, so an effective save against any DC up to 34... well, that'll teach you to underestimate the power of gravity. To be clear, the first roll is before the hero point, and the second roll is using the hero point. The last roll is an attack for Gravity Control (down), and it looks like I just barely hit you with it. It adds an effective 12 tons to your encumberance, and if that's above your max load, you fall prone and need to make a DC 20 Strength check each round in order to make a move or standard action. For what it's worth, I can think of a way you could escape fairly easily if you get an action. I'll PM it to Barnum so that he knows I'm cool with it.

  14. The punch doesn't just surprise Nanowire - it also comes as something of a shocker to Heavy. For a second, it looks like the fight is nearly over before it began, but Sean rallies deep within himself and pushes through the blow, toughening his gravitic aura enough to keep the blow from even landing. He takes a step back rather than letting the guy in the mecha crowd him. "Nice try," he says. "Glad to see that it'll be worth all the bruises when you finally lose." He raises his hand, and the grayish energy flows from him, wrapping itself around Nanowire and dragging him into the deck of the oil derrick.

  17. Unfortunately for Nanowire, most of his speech went right over Heavy's head. The one disadvantage of intimidation by intelligence is that sometimes, the target can't figure out what he's supposed to think. One bit does stick out to him in the middle, and he chuckles at it. "Well, you're wrong about who made this thing. It was actually m... ah, nice try," he says, suddenly starting to move forward. "Almost got me there. Let's get less talking, and more fighting." Despite his quick movement, his motion is obviously choreographed, giving Nanowire more than ample time to react.

  20. That's why I made my PL 10 slot a villain. Once I get a better feel for what he wants (and how he can go about it), I'll start up some schemes with the referees that the heroes can try to thwart. Emphasis on the "try". :P

Kevin looks over to the girl trying to pull off the top of a fire hydrant. Before he can yell at her what a stupid idea that is, he does a double take and fully takes her in. She's certainly too large to be an ordinary human, and what he mistook for a leotard seems to be some sort of superhero suit. In that case, she might be able to twist off the hydrant after all, but there are other houses that she can't easily reach. Kevin takes a deep breath. "It's just like a football game," he thinks to himself, and with that, most of his jitters drop away. Make a plan, stick to it when you can, and change it when you can't. He looks around for any people fleeing outdoors, and listens for any signs of people yelling that there's someone stuck inside. OOC: Taking 10 on an active Notice check for a total of +12. If he sees or hears something of interest, he'll spend the other half of his action moving towards that location.
