  1. Sounds good to me. So, the harness is a large, cumbersome device that he has to get out (briefcase?) and put on, but because of the new tech, he can put it on very quickly? Sounds good to me.

  3. Cost: Ability 35 + Combat 36 + Saves 0 + Skills 12 (48 Ranks) + Feats 11 + Powers 48 = 142 without figuring your drawbacks. After looking over your character, I see a few problems. 1. You are violating PL with your Toughness save. Your Toughness is +15 and your Defense is +9. Unless you take trade-offs (explained on p.24-25 of the core book), you cannot exceed +10 for either. You could trade-off up to 4 points in either direction (the 4-point cap is a rule here at FCPbP), so you could have a Defense +6 and a Toughness +14. 2. Your Initiative should be +6 (+2 Dex, +4 Improved Initiative). 3. You have both BDB (base defense bonus?) and DEF on your sheet. I'm not sure what DEF is. 4. I'm not sure how "Disturbing" is a drawback for a villain. Please explain. 5. You can't take the "obvious" (noticeable) drawback on powers that aren't permanent, continuous, or mental. Blast and Strike are already noticeable by default. 6. In order to "price" your phobia and your "nemesis" I need to know how debilitating is the phobia and how frequently your Nemesis will show up in your threads. Check out the explanation of Drawbacks on pgs 124-125 for some examples.
  4. Costs: Abilities 34 + Combat 42 + Saves 12 + Skills 21 (84 Ranks) + Feats 20 + Powers 24 + Drawbacks -3 = 150 PPs Trade-offs: Attack/Save DC: +13/+7, Defense/Toughness: +10/+10 Looks great! I love the legacy idea. Two questions: 1. Concerning "Super-Strength 4 (Heavy Load 1.25 tons; Flaws; Limited-only while flying)", could you explain why your Super Strength doesn't work when you aren't flying? This could be important during game play, because it could help define what "only while flying" means. For example, could you activate your flight, hover stationary, a half-inch off the ground and then use your Super Strength like any normal hero with Super Strength who didn't take this limitation (while grappling, breaking things, etc.), or do you actually have to be flying, i.e. moving up, down, or across at a reasonable flight speed to use it? The former probably isn't much of a limitation. It's probably a complication ("Super Strength doesn't work when Flight power is inoperable"). If you actually have to be in the air flying and the power only helps you lift stuff with your flight momentum (and not break things or grapple) then that probably is worth a 1 point flaw. 2. How do you change into your super identity (that takes less than 3 seconds)? And how can you be prevented from changing into your super identity?

  10. Great! We're still looking for one hero and one villain then.

  13. That's a great idea! We have done it with an "encyclopedia" add-on for phpBB (to track the stories of each hero and villain), but a Wiki would also work, as would just a forum for update posts.

  19. Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get approved soon. We won't go too far without you. This first round of posting is just introductory anyway. Welcome aboard! :D

  25. "I've got a bad feelin' about this." "Shut up and load tha' truck, you mook! Big Al ain't gonna wait all night for his merchandise." It was just before midnight when "Big Al" Driogano's men--2 men and a woman actually--pulled up in front of the warehouse with their "make-shift" armored car. They were there to collect some cash . . .okay, lots of cash . . . to take it down to the docks as payment for . . . merchandise. The three street thugs never entered the building. Instead a rather fat Greek man began brining the sacks of small bills to the door. Two of "Big Al's" men loaded the truck while the third kept watch. They were all well armed. Very soon all that loot would be free from the building that was no doubt loaded with armed men and would be on the truck . . . only guarded by those three thugs. It was a tremendous opportunity for someone with cunning and stealth. "I swear we're being watched! I gotta bad feelin'!" "Shut up!" It was the woman who barked at him this time. "I'm watchin' yer back. The sooner you get the truck loaded, the sooner we're outta here!" It was an astute observation . . . they were being watched, by eyes full of greed and malice. (Click to see the whole map.) *** Across town at the docks, another set of criminals were also being watched, but this time by the eyes of justice. Swarthy and well-armed thugs had docked their boat by a waterfront warehouse, and had begun unloading merchandise of some kind, taking it into the dark building. This was no doubt the latest shipment of "Zero," a new designer drug that had been plaguing Freedom City. This was the chance to stop these drug peddlers before this poison hit the streets again. These were dangerous men. Caution would be needed. (Click to see the whole map.) *** Bad, bad boys . . . and their dirty money is a short campaign for one or two PL6 heroes and one or two PL6 villains. It is a simple scenario that should go (if you so choose) as follows: Scene 1a: The opportunistic villain(s) rob "Big Al's" money shipment (which was supposed to buy the Zero from the drug dealers) as soon as it's loaded on the armored car. Scene 1b: The vigilant hero(es) assault the waterfront warehouse, and defeat (hopefully) the nasty drug dealers. Scene 2: The villains do some running and hiding with their loot, and the heroes so some sleuthing. Scene 3: The heroes find the villains, and they all duke it out. Winner gets the loot and the bragging rights. I had Ver-man and The Piranha in mind when I threw this scenario together, but the story could support different heroes and villains as long as they are PL6. After Scene 1, there would be the opportunity to add heroes and/or villains to the story too, to keep it a bit open-ended. Ver-man? Piranha? Anyone else? Interested?
