  1. Feel free, but you'll be asking for mucho trouble. Of course . . . that may be your intention. The villains my try to pile on to the guy who violates the truce, or you may go unnoticed. We'll see.

  6. Raindance "Meh," Mrs. Cooper snorted, "Freedom Eagle is not that great." She continued looking at her handsome son, her eyes full of pride. To the mother's biased gaze, no one was as great as her son. "Besides, being a hero is dangerous . . . and foolish! If he had more sense, that bird brain would be careful and not risk his neck by showing off for the crowds. I'm sure--" Mr. Cooper sensed that his wife was about to go into "full sermon mode" and no one wanted that. "Yes, dear," he said firmly, forcing her to stop talking momentarily. He took the money from her hand and passed it along to his son. "I'm sure he's being careful. Now let's go see what these venders are selling." He took is wife by the arm and walked her across the street to a set of booths set up to sell designer candy. *** Velocity The crowd stood transfixed for several minutes by the sight of the flying hero before the impressiveness of the scene began to wane. Slowly, everyone went back to their Halloween festivities, only occasionally glancing up to see if the hero was still there. Cory tried not to look too impressed when his girl pointed out the hero . . . but he was, so much so, in fact, the he didn't move from his spot the whole time Freedom Eagle was visible in the air. "Yeah, Freedom Eagle, he's pretty cool," was all he said, but his attempt to feign nonchalance was an abysmal failure. Most every guy had a little boy inside of them that wanted to jump up and down, yelling and screaming when they saw a real live superhero. Cory was having a hard time containing his, even though he wanted to keep his "cool persona" intact for Megan. If he only knew . . .
  7. Great. Since both of the villains are here, you can start posting whenever you are ready. I suggest that the first IC posts between you should be the two villains hiding near the warehouse, formulating their plan. I'll probably be able to post almost every day if you need me to.

  10. Only one small thing. You still need to adjust your Force Field down so you don't violate the +10 toughness cap. Change it to: Force Field 5 (Impervious 7). The two extra ranks of Impervious will apply to two ranks of your Con bonus, and you won't need to move any more points around. And then you're all set.
  11. Cost: Ability 35 + Combat 34 + Saves 9 + Skills 15 (60 Ranks) + Feats 10 (I'm counting the two ranks of Incurable and the two ranks of Alt Power with your powers) + Powers 48 - Drawbacks 6 = 145 PPs. -You can't have your damage capped at +9 after trade-offs and still have 10 ranks in Hellfire Control. That power, by definition gives you Blast at power rank. You need to drop Hellfire to rank 9. Once you do that, you will have 7 points to spend. Your Toughness save is +10, your Defense is +8, your Attack is +11, your Damage is +9 . . . so that is all good. Here's how I would spend the points: -I would up my defense to +10 (4 points) -I would also increase each of my saves (Fort, Reflex, Will) by 1 each (3 points) Let me know what you decide.
  12. Cost: Ability 20 (see #3 below) + Combat 18 + Saves 5 pts (see note 1 below) + Skills 8.25 (33 skill points, see note 2 below) + Feats 10 + Powers 40 = 101.24 (you're 11.24 points over). 1. An 8 ability score is only -1 not -2. 2. You've spent 1 too many skill ranks. 3. The math on your ability scores is wrong. You've got 20 points worth of ability scores there.
  13. Cost: Ability 20 (see #3 below) + Combat 18 + Saves 5 pts (see note 1 below) + Skills 8.25 (33 skill points, see note 2 below) + Feats 10 + Powers 40 = 101.24 (you're 11.24 points over). 1. 15. Photoshop. I have an old version on my computer here at home, but it barely runs it. I have access to a really nifty Apple computer at school that I do all the really big maps on. :)

  18. I figure we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. The Refs will work out all the defenses once we know that there is significant player interest to try an assault of that scale. Until then . . . consider the respective bases impenetrable. 8-)

  21. I'm not sure what you mean by "gain security systems for the area." I figured we would run this like the comics. The bad guy's "stuff" and the good guy's "stuff" is completely off limits . . . until it would make a really great story to "invade." So, if you are a villain and want to raid the Freedom HQ, I suggest you start PMing other villains (and a Ref or two) and start trying to set something up. It sounds like a great idea to me. You make a good point, but I think it's best to let the players work it out amongst themselves. Remember, this is a very player driven board. You don't have to fight anyone who pops up in this thread. You are perfectly free start your own threads to fight whomever you like. That said, I think it is perfectly acceptable for you to post in this thread and say what kind of opponent you are looking for. Because you are right . . . it's not much fun to lose the initiative, have to use your HP to save against the Mind Blast, and then run away. But some might want to try it anyway. So I say, "no rules on player match-ups," but, as always, you don't have to fight anyone you don't want. Now then . . . Nanowire posted first and is looking for a "tank" to fight. Any takers?
