  1. I haven't given any thought as to how (if at all) I could incorporate PC villains into this story. Let me think about it; I may be able to come up with something. Until then, we're looking for four PL10 heroes.

  6. Summer passed, and Fall quickly descended on Freedom City, bringing with it cool rains and even cooler breezes. As October grew old and November approached, the city made ready for its annual Halloween festival, The Haunted Block Party. For 12 years running the inhabitants of the theater district turned the two city blocks of Broadway between 64th St. and the Beaudrie Opera House into a "fair, games, and scares" trick-or-treat extravaganza. Between the hours of 6 and 8 PM, Broadway. would be packed with hundreds of children of all ages and their families milling about, playing games, showing off their costumes, eating candy, and trick-or-treating for goodies at all of the shops, booths, and venders on the street. Every year Mr. Dirksen turned the bottom floor of his warehouse at the corner of 60th St. into a rather formidable haunted house. Rumor was that this year, he had outdone himself. Admission was always free, and there was never a shortage of Freedom League costumes at the festival. Occasionally, a real Leaguer even made an appearance. *** The Theater District: (Click the picture to see the full, enlarged map of Freedom City.) *** Heroes for the Holidays is a short campaign for 4 PL 10 heroes. You can work your way through the entire campaign (which goes all the way through Christmas) if you wish, or you can come and go as you please, letting other heroes (or NPCs) do all of the "in-between battles investigation." It's up to you. Post here if you're interested in playing. Once we get three or four, we can start.

  11. You are probably right about the Str bonus. I don't have my books with me and was quoting from memory. I do remember +4 for Str, but it very well could be +4 to Str score not +4 to damage bonus. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm sure you're right. Good catch!

  16. I agree with Veiled Malice. 1. I would make "Lethal damage only" a 1 pt. drawback, though whether this drawback directly reduces the power's cost (as per Ultimate Power) or gives your character additional PPs to spend (as per Mutants and Masterminds core book) is up to the judges. And if it only applies when you are suffering from your "complication," I wouldn't make it a drawback at all. 2. I would probably make the "rage" a complication too, but do keep in mind that your Str bonus after the rage is still capped by PL (unless the judges say otherwise). Right now your Str is +3 and with rage that bumps it to +7, 1 pt. above PL.

Really? I'm not a big fan of the default look of PHPBB3 at all, but that's probably just personal preference. It is certainly not one of those things I am really concerned about. The look and position of the "post bit" is purely a function of the theme/template and can be easily changed. Our rendition of PHPBB2 doesn't look anything like the default layout anyway.
