  1. He smiles amiably in response. "Ah! Yes, I have had the oppourtunity for sometime discourse with your father. I find his actions as this city's leader most commendable. His efforts to find ways to give a voice to the concerns of those in your city who might not otherwise be heard are quite wonderful as a standard for others." A slightly wider smile as he ponders the rest of Richard's words. "Well.. my own efforts, at least in terms of day to day impact, I would find comparatively meager, but I am deeply appreciative of esteem from such as he. I do certainly hope to provide what education and inspiration I can through my society's ideals, as much as I can represent them in word and deed." He pauses. "I am in a still lingering uncertainty on something vaguely, if you wouldn't mind humouring a question, as it seems to vary wildly in political families across the world, are you yourself in the city's service in any capacity? It is admittedly just a curiosity."

  4. "I will certainly try my best." He looked thoughtful even as he moved to fly under the Mummy to support more of its weight directly, in the midst of Raindancer's winds, muscles straining as he yet pushed upwards. "Oh.. is three really that old amongst your people? Nevermind, question for another time. Go quickly and good luck!"
  5. As he strained with the others, he looked to Hybrid. "If it is about to explode or vanish, is there any way you can.. reach inside it to pull out some piece so that there is still something to work with for sake of investigation? Perhaps from the head?"
  6. I was invited to play, and given a reason to attend by the person that made the thread, I'm unappreciative of the snark here.

  9. The Emissary simply landed with a sort of absent minded grace before the walkway to the manor's entrance. He had pondered wearing a tuxedo for the event, but he found to his consternation that people seemed.. dissapointed, he thought? When he did not arrive in costume to these kinds of things. And truthfully, his regalia was meant for both war and ceremony. Still, he had removed the cape and left it at the embassy. These were sometimes tightly clustered affairs, and that one time someone had tripped over it had made him feel badly for days. Honestly, while he enjoyed some of the social functions it was his duty to attend, these sorts of gatherings always irked him faintly. The questions a bit stranger, the gazes a bit more.. off. The people ocassionally having a feel of flowers left too long in a vase. Or if more energetic, of predators, stalking, loping and circling. It seemed wrong to have a party, that was not actually a celebration. Regardless, they had invited him, and it would be rude not to attend. He recalled a focusing mantra from the echoes of his collected memories, and repeated it internally as he made his way inside after presenting his invitation. It let him recall something more pleasant, a memory only half known, half felt from those disparate imprinted souls that made his own, but he knew it was a happy one all the same. It allowed thusly for the smile of acknowledged greetings that gently graced his features to actually be genuine and warm, even if it was from something else entirely.

  15. The glow forestalled his reply especially. "It.. is either going to explode, teleport away, or do some third, unexpected thing. It costs us very little but dignity to lift it well up into the air if nothing pyrotechnic occurs. Everyone with some strength please assisst, barring a correction from the one of us familliar with supertechnology?" He moved at that to start to attempt to lift the mechanical creature into the air.

The Emissary flew down quickly to wrap a lamppost around Vengeance's limp body, snapping it off for deposit with a police van that he found finally coming to the scene as he flew out, leaving it with them for the usual measures to be taken. Not even allowing himself a stilling, needless breath as his sight looked out past mortal range, seeking, willing even for what he sought to come into being. He found it then, and bothered with that focusing breath, simply to remove some agitation from synthetic muscle and allow for greater care in his actions. He flew in a streak towards a nearby rooftop, gripping hold of the water tower there, hands pressing into the metal without tearing through as he pulled it from the building, straining to fly back to the fires as quickly as he had departed, then pulling away the top of the tower to start pouring out the water over the flames. Between that and the jets of the hydrant, it seemed the flames were soon dealt with, the Emissary allowing himself a pleased smile to see the work of some of the others at the scene, calling out to them with an outright cheery wave. "Thank you for your help! I ask please that you continue to tend to the injured until the depressing lagtime your emergency response professionals seem to have for disadvantaged areas elapses, I must make sure the one responsible for this is firmly within custody." He pauses and looks to the media helicopter with a sigh, then addressing it similarly. "Foolishly reckless cameraman! I suggest in fact that such is the real story here! Please consider mentioning such social problems in the midst of whatever report is delivered on this battle." And with that, he takes off to return to the police and Vengeance's unconscious body, remaining with them until the man was in metahuman appropriate custody, and answering whatever questions they had.

Well, with villain subdued, I'm just looking to find one of those top of building water tower type deals to bring over and pour out onto such fires as there are.

  25. He inclines his head to the group. "I am the Emissary. That was very well done." Then he sighs, rubbing the back of his head. "I suppose we could.. search the giant undead body. Or ahm.. see if any mummies have gone missing from the museum, not that such would especially explain the follow up animation and giant size."
