At the same time, James sprints forward, trying to hit the robot where its knee would be if it were a person. There's still a joint there, and he lands his blow.

Amazingly, the robot falls down. It looks like they finished off that robot faster than some of the Next-Gen did. But "finished off" is a funny thing. Even as it lands, it's splitting apart again. From one robot that's 20 feet tall, they're now faced with 4 robots at 8 feet tall. They stand up and look at the three people with electric malice in the eyes.

James had been ready for this. He shouts, "It's like when the Atoms fought the Collective. We can take 'em if they keep getting smaller. Just don't let them gang up on you." Granted, that's a little harder to do when outnumbered, but they can try to use the terrain against the robots... or have help arrive.

That is not good... those robot keeping multipled each time they are destroyed but they are getting smaller. I don´t know how long they can keep doing it but sooner or later it will be too much for them... We need to prevent their movement without needing destroying them many time... He thought many time until he looked at the big hole on the road that made by big robot before and then he looked at the cement truck.

Got it! We only need to lure the robots into the hole and then I fill it with cement to prevebnt the movement... I hope this plan will real work He thought and then he screaming at the trion who is fighting against the robot.

Even as the Darkness rolls from Tony's hands, he falls to one knee. Bracing himself with his right hand on the ground, Tony looks up to see his blast flow into the automaton at exactly the same time as Joey and James each attacked a leg. The results were nothing less than spectacular....

However, when the robot broke down into smaller component parts...animated parts reconfiguring themselves into yet smaller bots, Tony could only hang his head. The last blast took more than just will from him. He was suddenly very tired, as if he ran ten miles in the last three minutes. Grunting with effort, Tony pushed himself from the ground, preparing for the next battle.

Just as Tony straightens himself, he spots a man running across the street behind the robots. Try to lure them into the big hole! , the man yells as he runs. Still looking past the robots, Tony spots the large hole that the man is gesturing at, as well as the Cement Truck...Yes....yes I see....that is a good idea...

Reaching out again, Tony begins to gather the Darkness, this time feeling the difference between the offensive blast and the cloaking field. Time for some subterfuge...let's see how well these tincans can follow a mass of Darkness...And with that thought, Tony cloaks himself in a mantle of Darkness. With a weary sigh, he starts off for the large hole, trailing the Darkness behind him like a large serpentine body...taunting and enticing the artificial antagonists into following him.

The robots aren't content to let the three men run unmolested. Two of them go after the largest threat, and one of them even says "Target: Shadowman; Confirmed." The other two split off, going after James and Joey.

James sees Tony slowing down, and he glances over to the robots bearing down on him. As Tony raises up the darkness once again, James slows up and runs into the side of one of the robots chasing him, knocking it a little off-balance. It turns to attack him rather than Tony. The other robot disappears into the darkness.

They all attack, though only Tony can see the one attacking him. Thankfully, it can't see him, and narrowly misses as it swings down.

James lucks out, and neither of the robots manage to land a blow on him. He still keeps an eye on Tony and the other man as best he can, though Tony's darkness only gives him a vague idea of where the older man might be.

He runs over to him and puts his arm under the other man's shoulder. It looks like he got the wind knocked out of him pretty badly, and it's all he can do to try to help him hobble towards the edge of the pit.

He looks up to the man in the concrete mixer and shouts "Start it up!" He doesn't say anything more so that the robots won't catch on. He has no idea if they can understand English, but the vaguer, the better. He's in the front, and it looks like one of the robots is going after the one they designated Shadowman, while the other two are coming towards James. They seem to be ignoring the guy he's half-carrying for the moment since he doesn't pose much of a threat right now.

The roiling darkness condenses as Nightshyft draws it all into himself, shooting it back out the robot that followed him inside. While it leaves him exposed, it also does damage to the robot, stunning it in place.

The blow from the robot really knocked Joey for a loop. Through barely focused eyes he sees the battle continue and hears Tony call out for help. Not that he can do much more but curl up, making his body a smaller target and meaning he can protect himself with the knife quicker. Then he sees Tony nearly fall into the pit. Putting down the knife(and hoping no one steals it) Joey crawls over toward the pit with agonizing pain. "I'm coming."
