  1. For Cho, the whole thing turned out to be quite a mess which would, presumably, end up putting some 'friction' between her and the Freedom League. At least from her point of view, anyway. The Freedom League had no business prying into her life and that of her team, despite everything. For all she knew, they could arbitrarily decide she was a 'villain' if it suited them or if they needed a convenient scapegoat for this whole mess. The fact was she had not played part in anything technically wrong and until proven otherwise, neither had any of her fellow team member. Sure she had once admired them but after the mess she had just gotten herself in, she figured she was the poorest judge of character possible and so decided to start making adjustments right away.

"So no." She said. "I don't know where the rest of the team is. Either somewhere being told lies and manipulated or scattered all over."

"Aya of the K'zan." Replied the captain. "I'm hearing from you quite soon. That is indeed correct, we have claims on the artifacts found on this planet and we would like to have them returned to us! If you have the time, come on board. I'm sure, as a Lor, you are required to endlessly talk to me about protocols regarding the acquisition of offworld items. As much as I would consider that a waste of time, I must avoid misunderstandings here. Now I'm certain you might be worried about coming aboard our ship but there's no need for fear about a discussion between two civillized beings." He said, the last part of his speech mildly mocking in tone althought it was hard to tell if it was self-deprecation, with him calling himself uncivilized or him calling the Lor the uncivillized one. There wasn't much written about that species' sense of humour or if they even had one.

  3. The shot hit Kharag, but only inflicted truly minor injuries, nothing more than a scratch. While far from a mindless brute, Kharag was still very much, in many ways, a savage. Angered how some lowly mortal would dare open fire on him, he roared, baring his dark purple gum and rows of sharp teeth. In a moment, he was closer to a pair of pirates. One of them took mean left hook to the head, knocking him over. The poor pirate then soon found himself used as an improvised weapon as the alien grabbed him and used him to take a swing at a second pirate.

"Hraaaah!! Is that all you have, scum?! Is this all I can expect from pillagers of the stars? If this is the only challenge you can offer me, I am dissapointed!"

  4. "Oh that's just...j-just great." She shook her head, as the nervous tic came back in full force. She wasn't sure where to go from there; someone had tried to frame her and had presumably altered the mind of Racer, leaving her in this current, unhinged state disconnected from reality and logic. The next step would be to go find her team, or at least what was left of it but could she trust anyone? "Hnng..." Thoughtspeed's little control trick came undone as she collapsed on her knees. It all dawned on her that perhaps there was something about the WYRM she had not considered. That perhaps someone or something had been pulling the strings all these months.

  5. Cho breathed in and out, massaging her forehead. "I-I don't know, there's just so much going on that make no sense and Racer here, and sorry I'm saying this, is really not acting normally. Look, I'm your friend. I-I don't know what's going on here but you have to work with us on this and right now what you're saying make no sense...um...unless...unless..." Nervous, Cho moved around, all fidgety and full of nervous tic. "I guess you've been messed with. Someone's been messing with your head the same way they were messing with mine a while ago. Maybe even more. I never told you anything about that. Someone's been messing with you."

"Will...you're...you're psychic, can't you read her mind? Maybe see what really hapenned. There are answers I need and maybe those are answers I'd rather not know but there WAS a psychic in our team and they weren't exactly the most trustworthy. I worry they might have gone rogue. I don't know, I mean, I never managed to get a read on Brainclay. So I hope it's someone else and not them."

  6. "Okay, seriously, Racer. I-I don't know what the hell got to your head but you're clearly not thinking right. You of all people should know better than that. Hell! Saboteur and Bestia were both trained as assassins, I think it would be hard for them to believe any of that stuff. Magmatic and 'Clay aren't even human, one is a rock-person and one is an alien...come on! This is bonker!" Cho grabbed her friend's shoulders and shook her, gently (or as much as she could). "SNAP OUT OF IT! This is nonsense! You know better than that!"

"Are you certain you have not uncovered the identity of any possible traitor? I must know. If you have access to such information, state it now." Simply said Kharag in a tone still unusually cold, staring at Dragonid.

Their conversation was cut short as the sound of weapon fire erupted, further away into the Delaztri city, but still close enough to be heard. A beam of light erupted outward, similar in appearance and sound to the primary firing mode of these mechanical assassins. One of them was fighting somewhere in the city, but....who?

"We must not investigate. Leave it to the Delaztri authorities."

  8. "You know, when you put it like that it sounds like the most half assed, half baked sensationalist bullsh**! No really, as far as evil plans go, that's...uh I don't know about you guys but it just sound flat out ridiculous. No subtlelty there." Cho shook her head almost...dissapointed? As far as master plans went, that didn't seem like the best one. The fake murder, fine, that had been detailed enough to really get her but these terrible and overblown videos of 'the evil truth behind the superhero world' seemed far-fetched given the description. "I'm sorry, I just don't buy it and I don't buy anyone in our team buying things this ridiculous. At best maybe Magmatic because she's unfamilliar with the surface world, but Saboteur and Bestia? No, neither of them would buy something this blatant, that sounded like somekind of bad PSA about kids doing drugs or playing Dungeons & Dragons and turning satanic."

Checking the dataslate, Dragonid found all the Delaztri had on this so-called Ahazar. Appearance-wise, he looked much like any other member of his species, which is to say vaguely like Paradigm or Traveller, but earless and with cranial ridges. His skin tone of a hue similar to Kharag, hinting at either the same ethnic group or general place of origin. The upper left corner of his cranium had a long, vicious scar in it, likely the result of either a blade or claw slicing it open and yet the alien had both survived and healed from having his skull almost cracked open.

As Dragonid approached the habitation complex, he spotted Kharag, who walked up to him. "I demand a report at once; tell me everything you know." stated the alien king, brusque and cold.

He nodded at her, sinking a bit into his chair under Corona's gaze: "O-of course. Do what you need. As for the Za'akis presence I must say, in all honesty, we've been rather fortunate, I was expecting much higher collateral damage beyond a few broken things. The fact is, their ship in orbit could pose a threat to use down here. What was it called, a...Starhunter class? They're the mainstay of their fleets. Heavily armed, designed to operate equally as well as solo killships or as part of a squadron. Fortunately nothing of the sort hapenned, so I will be more than glad if you can settle matters without a single shot fired."

  11. "O-okay, hold on!" Cho said, raising her hands, making a gesture as if saying to everyone 'settle down' as she tried to think. Something a bit more difficult than it looked given a splitting headache still being a leftover from the power meltdown which hapenned earlier. She did some very quick introductions: "Okay we got...uh...Phantasmo, right. Glamazon. Toughtspeed. Terrifica. This is Racer Konchu." Cho breathed in: "We're going to start back at the beginning. So, a psychic...another airport, what else? I'm just trying to piece everything together here. Right, teleporter. And it's not anyone we know, Racer?"

"If you prefer your opponents to face you head on, then why yourself use such underhanded tactics? I understand the reasons, I simply do not agree. If my guess is wrong, you'll risk being branded an ennemy of our entire people." Vohl shaked his head, a hint of distress on his face. "No, we can't let any code of conduct hold us if those opposing us have none. The southern habitation complex, third habitation block, room number two. I will leave breaking into it to your discretion."

  13. "Tch! Fine! Then we'll just have to keep the whole building from crashing down!" Boldly declared Cho at the collapsed Doctor Kirsch. She figured that, possibly, the three of them might be enough to sustain the building, albeit temporarily.

  14. "H-hey!" Cho shouted as the crystal went flying and rolling away. "I know that's something that can kill me but these things are rare! I-It's me, okay? It's really me." She said, voice cracking, making somewhat exasperated gestures and face completely wracked by an aguished expression. The whole scene certainy looked rather unsettling and gruesome, with Racer's black insectoid-demonic shape, bloodstained claws and Cho's morphic molecule suit half-melted unto her burned frame, a side effect of the molecular power metldown from earlier.

"I keep telling you, it's me. Look I don't know what's going on here, not for sure, but I swear it's really me." She took a few step forward, toward Racer. The teenager then turned to Thoughtspeed: "Can you get the crystal back, please? We'll be fine here, just give her a moment."

  15. "Whoa Racer h-hold...I-I-whoa!" Cho tried to speak up, trying to calm down Racer Konchu, but kept being interrupted as everything hapenned around her. "J-Just...j-just...s-speak! Let me speak! Look, it's me! There is no evil clone going on here, no mind control device, no robot, not alien shapeshifter or any of that crazy stuff I hear people talk about! I have no idea what's really going on with the team, but I think someone's been lied to here. Either you or me or hell maybe both! O-okay look..." Cho extended her arms then raised them up in the air and walked toward Racer Konchu. "I-I'm all open, hands in the air. If I lower them or if you see any glow, just sink those claws in me. I know you can cut through me like butter with those claws. L-look, it's me."

She then looked Racer in the eyes, or at least her organic suit's eyes, at any rate. "If you have on you, then use it. You'll see it's the real me, no? I gave it to you; a small Daka crystal in a sealed container. Take it out, pop out the cap and put it in my hand. You know it's my weakness."
