  1. "OK, I'll check next time I have gym class!" Kristin replied. "Oh I think they have racks for practice gear over there.." she said with a vague point towards the other side of the gym. "I'll go look!" As energetic as ever she jogged across the gym and ducked under the balance beam this time instead of going over. "So if you didn't train here, who taught you?" She asked curiously as she went. "I thought most people came here to learn about their abilities as well as for school work? Oh but I guess if you had yours when you were really little you would have plenty of time to work on them before you were old enough to come here?" She stopped in front of a rack full of training weapons and gear. "Hey look, there's loads of stuff in here that looks like fun!"
  2. Kristin peered at the blade closely and marveled at the quality and sharpness of it, then laughed out loud as Etain demonstrated her plan for swordfighting-in-the-rain. "I didn't really expect you to use the umbrella at the same time you know! hey you could get that bit made out of some kind of strong fabric and use it as a shield too! And being able to take a weapon anywhere really does sound like a good idea. It'd set of metal detectors though wouldn't it?" "I don't think I should be allowed to use a sharp weapon though, I'd probably slice and dice myself." she decided. "A staff or a baton would probably be safer, the worst I can do then is give myself a nice collection of bruises. And training partners probably would do that anyway so it's not like it'd be any worse!" "If you could tell me how to find the teachers for that kind of stuff that would be great!" she said, clearly still enthused with the idea.
  3. Glow blinked. "Is that a sword in an umbrella? Can I see? I think I want one!" She jumped off the balance beam again and crossed the mats towards Etain. "That might just be one of the coolest things I've seen since I got here! Whatever made you want to put a sword in your umbrella?" A mischievous grin crossed her face. "And what do you do if it's raining AND you need to fight someone at the same time?". With her bad joke for the day spent, she looked thoughtful again for a moment. "Learning to fence or maybe fight with a staff or something would be fun! And it's not like I'm ever going to be strong enough to lay people out with my fists, so maybe it would be a good idea to have skills like that as a backup for if I can't use telekinesis for some reason! Do you teach?"

  5. Kristin grinned at that. "Without my telekinesis? I doubt I'd win all that many fights really. I know a little bit of Judo and wrestling, so I'm a bit tougher than I look and I might be able to choke someone out if they're really really bad. Worked OK for looking after myself at my old school, but I don't think it would stack up that good around here!" The subject of fighting had her even more animated than usual. "Once I get properly settled in and catch up on the schoolwork I want to check out some hand-to-hand fighting classes. Judo, kickboxing, maybe even learn some weapon skills. It's the best fun and I don't think it's ever a bad idea to know how to fight! And besides, collecting bruises and bumps is a great game!" Kristen looked at Etain curiously and wondered if the question led anywhere. "I guess from your asking that you know how to fight without the illusions?" She asked. "Being able to do the mind-bending stuff and knowing how to land a good shot all at the same time sure sounds.. formidable?"
  6. "Hopefully I'll get to meet her sometime, that sounds like an interesting story!" Kristin smiled as she jumped back up to sit on the balance beam once again. "Throwing things is pretty hard" she decided. "I think it's different because the thing you're throwing isn't coming from where you're standing, it's coming from where you picked it up. I haven't quite adjusted to that yet. "I can still throw things fairly straight. I could hit a dartboard or something most every time. People move though, so even if I throw on target I can still miss. I can affect people directly though, so if I can see them I can hit them. Or grab them. No dodging that way!" Kristin shrugged. "I still practice both obviously. Can't have too many skills!"
  7. Kristin smiled. "Mini-Etain making super bright, enormous, pretty illusions would be absolutely adorable!" she laughed as she pictured it. She's absolutely gorgeous as an adult, I can't imagine how cute she must have been when she was little! "I can't imagine how much mischief I'd have gotten into if I'd had my abilities when I was little .. although I guess I'd be a lot better with them than I am now.." Her face turned thoughtful as she considered the rest of what Etain had said. "So do you know what your friend did to work through her mental block? I've been just trying for a little while each day to affect my own body with the telekinesis in between my other practice, but all I end up doing so far is frustrating myself and making it harder to practice on the rest of my drills!
  8. When Kristin emerged from the bathrooms she felt almost human again, the tiredness caused by the long flight and a touch of jetlag temporarily banished. When she returned to her room the Resident Advisor was nowhere in sight, so she set about unpacking. With most of her belongings stowed away appropriately she plugged her cheap laptop in and sent off a quick email to her parents to let them know she had arrived safely. With that task finished Kristin peeked back out into the hallway, but Rose was still nowhere to be found. With a shrug she turned to go back into her room, but her stomach announced itself with a loud growl. Oh wow I'm starving! I wonder if I can find the cafeteria by myself? Map of the campus in hand, Kristin left the dorm a minute or two later, looked around in confusion for a moment, then set off in what she hoped was the right direction.
  9. Kristin shrugged, a little embarrassed. "I've tried moving myself, pushing myself, even whacking myself. It doesn't work. For some reason I haven't been able to affect myself at all". Agitated, she bounced up and down on her toes and swung her arms back and forth almost as if she was using the movement to bleed off excess energy. "When I was back home before I came to Claremont the Magpie called it a mental block or something and said I'd probably be able to work it out as I get a little more confident. Hasn't worked so far!" With a shrug she stopped bouncing and looked curiously at Etain, her head tilted to the side as she asked "Did you have trouble with the illusions when you first started using them? Or were you always skilled with them?"
  10. The appearance of a butterfly in Etain's hand brought an expression of wonder to Kristin's face and it was all she could do to keep herself from clapping in glee when it burst into a shower of smaller butterflies. "That's really .." she started, but whatever she was going to say was halted when she found herself facing three Etains instead of one. "Wow that has to.." she began again, then stopped with a raised eyebrow as the other girl disappeared completely. "Alright that seems seriously useful!" She decided as Etain appeared behind her, turning on her heel to face the illusionist once more. "I can use it to harden the air around me. Sort of like a shield or something." She replied. "And I can do this.." Concentrating fiercely Kristin looked down towards the gym mats, her telekinesis packing the air tightly into a dense shelf at knee level. With her face still creased by a frown she stepped up onto the shelf. Her feet sank into it slightly, but for a few seconds she managed to hold herself a few inches above the floor. With a wince she released her concentration and dropped lightly back down onto the mat. "It's hard, I can't do it for very long just yet." She said with a shrug. "But once I practice and get a bit stronger I might be able to fly! I can use it to thump things as well." She grinned as she reached out and gave the punching bag a mental punch, then shrugged again as the sound of it echoed around the gym. "Practice makes perfect right?"
  11. Kristin met Etain's gaze for a moment, then looked down at her feet with a sigh. With a gesture and a moments concentration she lifted a dumbbell off a nearby rack and floated it over, then snatched it out of the air. "Picking stuff up, moving it around, putting it down, I can practice all that stuff without being too worried about breaking anything.." She said with a grimace, "But I don't dare try to test my limits too much without supervision, I might end up damaging the building or something. And besides, I don't think the headmaster would like me practicing by lifting his car!" A grin played on her face as she hopped back down off the balance beam. "I'm also supposed to practice using it to defend myself.." She said as the air in front of her shimmered with a faint green glow. "I can't really do that without someone to throw stuff at me though!"
  12. "Well I guess it's better to be busy than to be bored!" Kristin replied with a grin, then stepped back out onto the mats. Sizing up the distance she had to work with, she took a deep breath and then dashed into a simple tumbling run that finished with a front somersault. The landing had a bit of a stumble and she turned back towards Etain with a little bit of a frown, saying "Guess I'm out of practice!". Hopping up to sit on a balance beam, she reached out towards one of the heavy punching bags with her mind. A faint green glow rose around it as she gave it a push and set it swinging. With a grin she looked over at Etain again. "I'm supposed to be practicing with my telekinesis more than anything else, but do you want to wrestle or something? It's just way more fun!"
  13. I wonder what kind of powers need special accommodations? I guess I might find out a bit later.. "Well I don't really like spiders or rats or insects, but it's not like I'm scared of them!" Kristin replied as she sat on the bed and folded her legs up underneath her comfortably. "Wait did you say giant insects?" Super-bee. Giant insects. Surely she can't mean an actual bee? In any case, it was definitely well past time for a shower, so Kristin collected her stuff and made her way to the bathrooms for a long and luxuriously hot shower.
  14. Kristin smiled as she took a step towards Etain and clasped her hand firmly. "I'm Kristin. I just got here like a week ago, so everything is a bit of a blur!" she said with grin. "I think I'm finally starting to get settled in though, so I thought I'd give myself time out and get in here and practice some gymnastics, maybe hit one of the bags for a bit!" "I didn't really think I was going to find anyone else in here!" She said as she stepped back. "It's so quiet around with everyone heading off for the break. Does that mean you're not from around here either?"
  15. The last week had been pretty wild for Glow, having arrived at a new school, met a dazzling array of powerful young students and discovered that her classes were definitely going to be a challenge. The chaos seemed greatly reduced this weekend however due to a holiday, so she had jumped at a chance to visit the surprisingly empty gym. Ooh I need to get in here more, So tight! she thought as she stretched out. With her warmups completed, she was just setting up for a tumbling run across the mats when she heard a voice behind her and turned to face Etain with her hands on her hips. "Hi!" she answered as she tilted her head to the side and chewed on her bottom lip, trying to put a name to the face she had seen around the campus once or twice. "Nope I got nothing!" she grinned. "I'm sure I should know your name, but I've met so many people this week that I'm having trouble keeping up. Sorry!"
  16. Doktor'd 11/20/2011 Glow Made a mistake on Glow's toughness - she has +2 from CON not +1. It should be: Toughness: +8 (+2 Con, +2 Defensive roll, + 4 Force Field) That'd mean she breaks her PL cap on toughness / defense tradeoffs. Easiest way to fix would be removing a rank of dodge focus: Defense: +6 (+4 Base, +2 Dodge Focus), +2 Flat-Footed Which would make her tradeoffs +1 toughness / -1 defense I don't know what I want to do with the 1pp she gets back from removing a rank of dodge focus. Can I leave it unspent for now? I'll allow it. Doktor'd 11/20/2011
  17. Kristin picked the bed furthest from the door and dumped her bags next to it, then started rummaging around in one to find a towel and her toiletries. 20-something hours on a plane certainly made a hot shower seem pretty inviting. Intrigued, she looked over her shoulder at Rose and asked "Can't accommodate her physically? Why is that?". Unable to find what she wanted from her bag, she upended it untidily on the bed and pulled a towel and a bag full of shower stuff out of the pile. "If it's OK I'd like to grab a shower real quick, but after that would you mind showing me around a bit more? I'd really like to get past the bit where I get lost three times a day as quickly as possible!"
  18. Kristin did her best to pay attention to the path they took to the dormitory, but with all of the interesting and unusual students around it was all she could do to not gawk. The football game did stop her in her tracks for a moment. Oh now that looks like fun! I'm going to have to learn that game! The argument over teleporting amused her greatly, but the game didn't seem likely to get back underway very quickly, so she let Sharl lead her the rest of the way to the dormitory. So this is home for now huh? she thought as she looked up and down the hall, then greeted Rose with a smile as Sharl introduced them. She couldn't quite contain her gasp of surprise at the chilling cold of the older girls handshake, but recovered quickly enough to say "Nice to meet you!" and thank Sharl for all his help as he left. Left in Rose's care, Kristin once again hefted her bags as she asked "So which room am I in? And who will I be sharing with?" as a renewed flutter of excitement and nervousness set off the butterflies in her stomach once more.
  19. Kristin bit her lip a little when she didn't even succeed in getting headmaster Summers to crack a smile, but relaxed a little when he didn't admonish her for her comments. As he stood to guide her out of his office she thanked him for the welcome and made her way back out to meet Sharl once more. "Yeah, pretty tired, but I'm not going to sleep until it at least gets dark!" she replied, with another stifled yawn. "How big are the dorms? Will I be sharing with many other girls? What... oh, I'm doing that thing with the questions again aren't I?" All that stuff was in the information folders you idiot! "Umm it would be great if you could show me how to get there," she said as she hefted her bags again "I'm horrible at directions so I'd probably end up in the canteen or something instead!"
  20. Kristin was a little disappointed that question-time was over as they arrived in the campus car park, but that didn't last long as the excitement and tension of seeing the school for the first time took over. The coolness of the air came as a bit of a surprise, and she pulled her jacket tighter around herself as she looked around at the beautiful colours of the grounds. So pretty in Autumn! But I think I'm going to hate the cold! The butterflies in her stomach worsened as she followed the headmaster into the administration building, and she smiled her thanks at Sharl as she followed Summers into his office. The talk about the expectations of the school didn't really come as much of a surprise, and she tried to sit up straight and listen attentively. There was one little jetlag-induced yawn, but she stifled it quickly and bit her lip a little to wake herself back up. The mention of how challenging her stay would be perked her up, and she grinned happily at the headmaster as she replied "I'll try my best sir, and I don't mind a challenge - it wouldn't be any fun if it was easy!"
  21. Kristin's eyes widened as she watched Sharl pass his hand through the door and started to say "You.. you're not.." before she caught herself and snapped her mouth shut. Well that's a new one.. she thought for a moment as he composed herself, then looked back at Sharl curiously. "Sorry, I've never met a synthetic intelligence before!" she apologized, then the questions rushed out all in one go. "So that case is your emitter then? And you shook my hand and carried my stuff! Can you make yourself solid or .. insubstantial .. whenever you like? What else can you do?" Her face flushed as she looked away again, then said "Sorry, that must be really annoying when people do that.."
  22. Kristin lounged back into her seat a bit deeper and closed her eyes for a moment, then asked "Why can't telepaths read your mind? Do you have some kind of blocking power on that?". As she felt herself start to doze a bit she shook her head and straightened up again. 20-something hour flight or not, this isn't nap time! she thought with a grin. "Questions about school? Umm.. I think I probably have about a million, but I don't really know all that much beyond the info packet I got in the mail. Is there anything You think I need to know?"
  23. Kristin smiled nervously as she shook Duncan's hand and said "It's nice to meet you sir!" then pulled up short with a bit of a double take as she glanced back towards where she had been met by Sharl. "My flight was good thank you, but very very long! I've never spent 20-something hours on a plane before and I don't think I'd like to do it too often." As Sharl returned with her luggage she insisted on carrying at least some of it herself as they followed Mr Duncan to the waiting van, then hurriedly climbed inside to get out of the chilly weather. With her eyes closed for a moment she settled into the seat of the van, then turned to look at Sharl and answered his question with as much of a straight face as she could manage. "Oh yes, I know every single thing you're thinking, sometimes before you even know you're thinking it!". The straight face didn't last long though, and she corrected herself with a chuckle of "No, not really. Not the slightest hint of telepathy even. I can only move things so far."
  24. Still trying to stretch out her legs after the long flight, Kristin hauled her suitcase off the carousel and lugged it out of the baggage claim area. Trying to ignore the butterflies in her stomach she stepped out of the throng of travelers and looked around as she wondered who exactly would be waiting to collect her. Caught just a little off balance at being met by someone quite so young-looking, Kristin hesitated for a moment before she put down her suitcase and took the offered handshake, replying "Kristin, but I guess you already knew that!" with a faint smile of her own. "Very very long." She replied with a chuckle, then hesitated again for a moment. "The headmaster came to pick me up from the airport?" She asked with surprise in her voice as she looked down at her comfortable worn jeans and rumpled jacket. "Now I feel well and truly under-dressed."

HellQ Questionnaire Introduction Who are you? Sum yourself up in one sentence. I'm a small, sporty, fun Australian girl who can move things with her mind. Wow that sounds like I'm trying to sign up for a dating site or something. Do you have any nicknames, street names, titles, or nom de plume? Nom de who? The people who looked afer me when I first started to use my telekinesis called me Glow. It kinda stuck! Well they didn't really call me that, but one time when I tried to move a brick and failed and just made the air around it glow green a bit one of them said "well at least you made a pretty glow". I do usually tan instead of sunburn though so that's ok. My eyes are hazel and I have red hair. How do you wear your hair, if applicable? Do you have facial hair? I wear my hair short. It's just easier for climbing or gymnastics or Judo. And besides, if I grow it longer it gets impossible to keep tidy! Do you consider yourself attractive? Do others? I like to think I'm cute! I guess I'm probably a bit too skinny, but some people like that right? Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings, or birthmarks? I've got a really thin 5cm long scar on my left hip from our pet cat. And the Gold Coast has awesome beaches. Where is your home town? What was/is it like? It's a bit of a tourist destination. Great beaches, good shopping and some nice spots for camping. You should visit. No really! Growing up, were most of the people you knew similar to you, or were you somehow a minority? How did that affect you? I was pretty normal I guess. I'm a bit of a tomboy so not all the girls like me, but that's ok. Is there something you've always been really good at or really bad at? How has that affected your life? I've always been pretty good at most sports I try, but never really awesome. So I guess that's "No". Were there any traumatic experiences in your early years (death of a family member, abandonment, orphaned at an early age)? Not really. Unless you count the bit with my sister and the telekinetic stuff. That wasn't really "Early" though. Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life. I didn't really have anything amazingly different when I was really young. I guess the most defining moment in my life is the car accident and telekinesis part. I honestly don't remember it that well, it's like a complete blur. I remember being terrified and being able to feel all of the things I was levitating and knowing that it was me doing it, but not knowing how. Anyway, it was on the news and I'm sure you can find the video on the internet. That describes it way better than I can. What stupid things did you do when you were younger? Most stupid things I did involved jumping off things or climbing things and falling off. Not too many emergency room visits though! Where did you go to school? How much school did you have, and did you enjoy it? Southport State school through grade 10. I'm transferring to Claremont now so that counts right? I like school mostly. Do you have any mementos of your childhood? What are they, and why did you keep them? If you have none, why not? I have a little stuffed fox called Foxy (Hey, don't laugh!). My Aunt bought him for me when I was born. He guards my bed when I'm not home. When did you decide to become a hero? Why? Did anyone influence you one way or another in the decision? I'm very new to this, I really only discovered that I'm a telekinetic mutant a few months ago. And I'm not a hero yet, but I really hope that one day I can live up to the title. Why? I can't imagine anything more rewarding than protecting people. Is the reason you give people for becoming a hero different than your real reason? If so, why? Not really. It's because I can, because I should and because I want to. Do you have any deep, dark secrets in the past that may come back to haunt you? Umm not really. Raiding the fridge at midnight doesn't count right? Do you represent yourself as being different from who you really are? Why? Not at all. What you see is what you get. If you do have these secrets, what do you fear would happen if the truth became known? How far would you go to protect those secrets? I don't fear people finding out about my fridge raids. Do you have any sort of criminal record? If so, is it public knowledge? No, none. Family What are your biological parents' names? Jeff and Marie. Were you raised by them? If not, please explain and describe who raised you. Yes I was raised by them. What was their standing in the community? What did/do they do for a living? Just normal middle-class people. My Dad is an Engineer and Mum is a nurse. Dad is also a (very) amateur stage magician. It's pretty tacky but he has a couple of decent tricks I guess. Where are your parents now? Still in Australia. They're looking after my sister while she recovers. Did your family stay in one area or move around a lot? We've only moved house once in my life, and that was only like one suburb over. How did you get along with their parents? How do you get along with them now (if applicable). My parents are awesome. How do your parents view you now, or how would they? I think I frightened them a little with the whole telekinesis deal. They'd never ever admit it though. They support me coming to Freedom to learn what my gifts can do. Do you have any siblings? If so how many and what are their names? Describe your relationship with them. My sister Rebecca. She's a year older than me. She's my best friend, my protector and my biggest rival. I'm pretty sure that she kicks my butt at anything we've ever competed at. She's the best. What was your birth order in the family? Becs first, me a year later. Where are your siblings now (if applicable)? Do they have families of their own? What do they do? Becs is still at home recovering from getting hit by that car. She's tough though, she'll be fine in no time! Do you stay in touch with them or have you become estranged? I'll call her every night! Do you love or hate one member of the family in particular? I love all of my family, but I'm really close with my sister. Uncle Ed is a little creepy but I don't hate him or anything. Is any member of the family special to you in any way (perhaps, as a confidant, mentor, or arch-rival)? I think Bec is all of those at once! Are there any black (or white) sheep in the family (including you)? If so, please explain. Not really. Uncle Ed is a bit wacky sometimes but he's not too bad. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? If so, please explain, including how it has affected your life. Not really. I did mention my family dates back to convicts right? But that's not really that notorious. Do you have a partner and children currently? If so, please describe them. No, none. If you do not have a partner or children, do you want them someday? How firm are you in your opinion on this, and what might change your mind? Definitely. No question. But not for a long time yet. What type of person would be your ideal mate? Oh I don't know yet. Sporty. Hot? Wow I'm shallow! Relationships Do you have any close friends? If so, please describe them, and how you came to be close to them. My sister is my best friend. Lame huh? I've always hung out with boys more than girls, so my football friends are the people I spend most time with. Do you have a best friend? If so, how did they become your best friend? How close are you to your best friend? I think I covered that already. If you were to go missing, who would worry about you? My family would worry! Have you lost any loves? If so, how did it happen, and what did you do? I haven't really had any loves yet. Do you have any bitter enemies? If so, please describe them and their history with you. Umm not really. I guess the two thugs in the car I levitated probably don't like me very much, but they're in jail. If you have enemies, how do you think they might attempt to work against you in the future? I don't think that really applies to me yet. What is the worst thing someone has done to you? I don't think anyone has ever done anything really that bad to me. Where do your loyalties lie? In what order? Family comes first. Then friends and teammates. Everybody else comes after that. Who or what do you trust the most? Why? I trust my family the most, then my teachers. They're the ones who help me and want me to succeed. Who or what do you despise? Why? Criminals and bullies. And I think it's pretty self-explanatory! What qualities do you admire most in other people? Are these qualities you possess? That's a real hard question to answer. I admire lots of people for lots of things. Some people for abilities in sports that I wish I had, some people for being really smart, some people for the power they wield. But I think that people who use what they have to make a real difference are the ones I really look up to. What qualities do you hate most in other people? Do you have any of those qualities? I hate people who are bullies. Do you have a secret identity? If so, who knows it? Do you hide it from people who are close to you? Why? It would be hard to keep what I can do secret. I was on the news after all. People are going to know that I'm "Glow". Do you work well on teams and in groups? Are you a leader or a follower? I've played sports on teams but that's about it. I've always been a team player, but not really a leader I don't think. Are you on a super team? If so, how do you get along with your comrades? Do you trust them, or do you have secrets from them? Not yet. Hopefully I might end up being worthy of that kind of team. Are you a member of any church, fraternal organization, club, committee, political party, or other group? How much time do you spend on that? Do sports teams count? I play AFL and soccer and I'm part of a Judo club too. It's how I like to spend my free time. Personality & Beliefs Who are your heroes? Would it be tacky to say my sister? I never really idolized anyone for sports or even heroes. Did you ever become disillusioned with former heroes or idols? If so, why and what were the circumstances? Not really. Do you like being a hero? If so, what is the most rewarding part? If not, what makes you keep doing it? Like I said, I don't think I should be called a hero yet. But I love the idea that I can use what I have to help people. Is there anything that would make you give up hero work, or even switch sides? I might quit if I thought I was putting people in danger. What are your short term goals (what would you like to be doing within a year)? I'd like to be fully in control of my gifts and capable of helping out where I can. What are your long term goals (what would you like to be doing twenty years from now)? I really don't know yet. I'm looking forward to learning what I can do. I'd say I want to be a powerful and respected hero, but it's not really about that. I just want to be able to help. What is your greatest fear? Why? What do you do when something triggers this fear? I guess it's seeing the people I love get hurt. Or maybe being responsible for hurting someone else. I hope I react the right way now that I can maybe do something about it. Is there anything you would give you life for? My family. Or maybe dying for the greater good. It sounds romantic but I think it's probably not so cool in practice. How do you feel about money and material wealth? Do you desire it or disdain it? Are you miserly with what you have, or do you like to share? Is it a mark of success, or a means to an end? Money is money. You need some of it, and having more of it probably makes things easier sometimes. My family has always been comfortable enough and I've done OK saving my pocket money and the little bit I've made from my first job. How do you generally treat others? I usually make friends pretty easily and get along fine with most people. Are you a trusting person? Has your trust ever been abused? I guess I usually trust people. I haven't really ever felt betrayed by anyone. Are you introverted (shy and withdrawn) or extroverted (outgoing)? Do you have a lot of self-confidence? I'm pretty outgoing. People call me hyperactive. I sometimes get into trouble trying things that are beyond me physically (like jumping off the roof) so I guess that counts as self-confidence. How do you act around attractive, available members of your preferred sex? I usually want to wrestle with them or play football with them or something. I have figured out that boys are good for other things than that too though! What are your most annoying habits? I chew my fingernails. Do you feel contempt for any general category of people? Who are they, and why? Bullies. Criminals. I don't really need a "why" for that do I? What is your favorite food? Do you prefer any particular type of food? Do you take the time to enjoy your food, or do you eat as fast as you can? I'm a sucker for a nice big steak. I eat very slow too. Most people are finished dessert by the time I'm done with my dinner. What is your favorite drink (alcoholic or otherwise)? Just about any kind of sugary fizzy softdrink. What is your favorite treat (dessert)? Icecream! Especially Chocolate flavour. Are there any specific foodstuffs that you find disgusting or refuse to eat? Well I can't eat seafood. What is your favorite color? Are there any colors you dislike? I guess I like bold reds and blues and greens. But I hate yellow. Yellow shouldn't be a colour. What sort of music do you like? Is there any that you hate? I like most music, but I can't stand rap or country. Dance music is pretty boring too. If you have a favorite scent, what is it? Remember how I like a nice big steak? I love what that smells like when it's cooking. BBQ smell! Do you have a favorite animal? I love dogs. But not little rat-dogs that fit in your handbag. I hate cats. What is your most treasured possession? Why? I guess there's two things I'd be pretty upset if I lost. I'd be upset if I lost Foxy, and I also have a watch that my sister bought me when I turned 13 that I've worn pretty much every day since. Do you enjoy "roughing it", or do you prefer your creature comforts? I can do both, but I really think it's better to have a nice comfy bed and a warm shower. Camping is fun for a little while but it gets old pretty fast! Is there a job or a task you would absolutely refuse to do? Probably. I don't know what off the top of my head though! Do you consider yourself a spiritual person? If so, how do your beliefs affect your life? How important is it to you? Not at all. Was your faith influenced or molded by anyone special? My parents never took me to church, so I guess that moulded me just as much as going to church 3 times a week would have. If you belong to a religious organization, how often do you attend? Do you have a specific place of worship, or friends within the organization? How much do you agree with the beliefs of your organization? I'm not a member of any churches or anything like that. Could you kill? Have you killed? I haven't killed. I hope I never find out if I can. What circumstances led to you forming that conviction, or taking that action? Not really applicable. Are there circumstances under which you believe it is permissible to kill? What are they? I can't fault a soldier killing in war, or someone killing in self defence or to defend loved ones. How would you react to watching someone kill another person? Would your reaction be different if the killer was a friend or an enemy of yours? It really depends on the situation. I really think I'd be trying to stop any killing though. How would you react if something important was stolen from you? Be mad and call the police? How would you react to public humiliation? I'm not really that easy to embarrass. I guess shrug it off and get on with life? How would you react if a good friend or relative were purposely or accidentally killed? Has it happened to you? That would be horrible. Does anyone really know how they'd react? I hope that I wouldn't go on a rampage and throw a car at the killer. What do you consider to be the worst crime someone could commit and why? Murder? Rape? Genocide? There's a lot of awful things people can do. If your life were to end in 24 hours, what five things would you do in those remaining hours? Phone home. Eat chocolate, climb something high, play football, wrestle someone, find a hot boy and .. uh.. yeah. Oh and try to not die. That was more than 5 wasn't it? Career & Training Do you have any special training in your hero skills? If so, where and how did you get it? I'm working on that. I've had a few weeks of "lessons" from a couple of helpful heroes in Australia, but really that's why I've moved to Claremont. Who taught you the most about your heroing abilities? What was your relationship with that person? I haven't had enough lessons to answer this yet! Do you have any particularly unusual skills? How did you acquire them? Umm. I can move things with my mind. That's unusual right? I was born with it really, but I only just found out about it. Do you do something besides hero work for a living? Have you ever done anything else, or do you plan to? I did have a job in an indoor rock climbing center. But really I'm just a student yet. What is your preferred combat style? Judo is really really fun! I've done some kickboxing too, that's pretty cool too. I don't think that's going to cut it for hero work though, so I'm learning how to use my telekinesis for fighting. Have you ever received any awards or honours? Not really no. What skill areas would you like most to improve in? Is there anything you can't do that you wish desperately you could? I have a lot to learn about almost everything. I've been told that I might even be able to use my telekinesis to fly. That's terrifying and very cool all at once. How do you act around people who are more skilled than you in areas you'd like to improve? Are you jealous, or do you try and learn? People who are better than me are for learning from. And getting beat up by. Lifestyle & Hobbies What is a normal day for you? How do you feel when something interrupts this routine? wake up. Exercise. Eat. Sport or School. Eat. Sport or School. Eat. Eat. Eat. Sleep. I'm pretty flexible though. So long as there's plenty of "Eat" in there I'm pretty happy. Do you have any hobbies, or interests outside hero work? What are they, and where did you pick them up? Did I mention sport? I love most kinds. I'm also secretly a bit of a nerd. I love video games and books and movies, especially science fiction. What do you do for fun? I mostly love physical stuff. Sports, kicking a football around, climbing something, whatever. But a good book on a rainy day works for me too. Do you have a costume? What does it look like? I really haven't thought too much about that yet, learning to control my telekinesis has been more important. I'm thinking something tight and comfortable with lots of pockets for carrying stuff and a cool hood maybe. How do you normally dress when not in costume? Didn't we do this already? Jeans, Cargos, tanktops, t-shirts. You won't be seeing me in a dress very much. I also love hoodies. What do you wear to bed most nights? I usually don't wear much to bed - my underwear at the most. I can't wear loose fitting stuff to sleep in, I roll around a lot and end up horribly tangled and uncomfortable. If it's cold then that's what warm blankets are for! Do you wear any special jewelry? What is it, and what does it look like? I don't wear much. I have a silver watch with a black band that my sister gave me. Do you have a special place where you keep your valuables? Not really. And if I did it'd be a secret! What's your preferred means of local travel? How about long distance? If it's within running distance then I love to run. Apart from that I guess I have to catch a ride with someone. I can't wait to learn to drive. Oh and if I can nail down that flying thing that'd be awesome too. Miscellaneous Have you ever made a will, or tried to make arrangements for your death? What provisions did you make? No. I haven't really even thought about it. If your features were to be destroyed beyond recognition, is there any other way of identifying your body? Wow grim! Not really. I have 3 screws in my left ankle that might be a clue I guess. What would you like to be remembered for after your death? I guess if I'm going to be remembered I'd like it to be for being a protector. I'd also be pretty happy if my family and friends just remember me for being me. Do you believe you pose a threat to the public? Why or why not? I hope not. My telekinesis is a tiny bit wild just at the moment but I'm getting that under control. What do you perceive as your greatest strength? I'm going to assume you mean "greatest strength as a potential hero" and say that obviously my telekinesis is my greatest strength. What do you perceive as your greatest weakness? Right now? Inexperience. As a player, if you could, what advice would you give your character? Speak as if he/she were sitting right here in front of you. Use proper tone so they might heed your advice... Learn all you can and try not to bite off more than you can chew.
