  1. I figured that my streetwise was good enough to learn about both Foreshadow and Nightrival's activites in the area.

  3. Sammy smiled as he learned more about the going ons along Boardwalk. It seemed that there were a number of supers working the streets, making sure that the area was under control. Foreshadow, a man that seemed to always be right were a guy didn't want him to be. Sammy wonder what to do if the guy showed up when he was dealing with a bank? 'Ah well, Lady fortune would deal with the situation if it happened.' The other hero he needed to worry about was some guy named Nightrival. It seemed he mixed it up with the man that tried to rob the Lucky Seven casino. Another person to keep an eye out for. 'So those are some of the people in the area. I'll just need to keep my eye out for them in my dealings,' Sammy thought as he again surveyed the various casinos. Again he looked at them and smiled as he made his decision. 'I think it's time the Atlantis casino suffer a little leakage!' Sammy laughed out loud as he moved to the casino while rubbing his hands in anticipation.

  6. Sandra Rayne (From Freedom City sourcebook 1st ed. p 81) Sandra is a prostitute who works near the Boardwalk. She came to Freedom City as a runaway and ended up on the streets selling herself for money. She's twenty now and lives in an apartment in Southside she uses for her "in calls." She makes enough money to live better than many people in her position and she's managed to avoid being picked up by a pimp or getting hooked on drugs. Lots of her "boyfriends" are quite well off and provide her with gifts. Interestingly, one of her "friends" is Foreshadow, who pays Sandra for information from time to time. She keeps this to herself. She's concerned by the fact that Foreshadow has told her she needs to get out of "the life" soon. He hasn't said why, but she's worried nonetheless.

  9. This is a location of all known NPCs in the boardwalk area. When a new NPC is introduced, please add them to this thread. All players and Refs are welcome to use any of these characters in their stories.

  12. I understand teh pressure the refs have to keep things running. What I would like to see is actually a line or two in the News forum about a hero once in a while. "Captain X has again saved the lives of the people in New York." No need to have them actually in Freedom city to ruin the well thought out plans of the Crime Syndicate. I know the feeling, though I wasn't yet looking for a hero to deal with, more likely just the various NPCs in the area. I'll be putting up some stuff towards that end soon. Of course I hope the NPC information in the Freedom City sourcebook hasn'T changed much from 1st ed to 2nd ed. :)

  15. Hmmm, the established villians verus the newcomers. Interesting angle. But only works if the Refs are willing to put time into it I think. I mean, is there any real reason why there are any of the heros or villians from the Freedom City books in this world of ours? Would be nice to see one or two of them pop up in the news at least from time to time to remind everyone that they are around.

  18. Now that's going to make working with him difficult. Heck, most of the people in the group might simply want to rob him! No, he should make a fine addition to cause mayhem all over the city.

  21. Okay. I'll see what I can set up. This has gotten my interest fairly peaked. Should I simply use teh character creation rules and place NPC in the title to make things easier?

  24. Is it possible for us to make NPCs to submit to the board for use? I would assume these NPCs are average people that can be interacted with by the various players, In part, I'm interested since I wanted my villian to get in on the Mob scene before turning to a large role in the city. Would help if there were some interesting people to run into along the way.
