  1. Johnny felt confident for the first time in his life (thanks to some amazingly lucky dice rolls). After knocking out the one thug, he really wanted to impress Velocity and take out another one to match the two she took down. Using extra effort Johnny zips up beside the last thug and does a strike (alternate Power Feat), then zips back to his spot again. Strike vs thug. (1d20 6=9) Maybe he was trying too hard? heh heh.

  3. Hmmm. Looks like a good idea... Johnny runs up to thug#2 tries to punch him, then runs back again (move-by action). Stunning Punch (1d20 6=26) (holy crap it rolled a 20!!!! - Johnny is receiving some serious beginners luck here...)

  5. Ha I think we were both confused! I didn't know it was a surprise round which is why the move-by-action slipped in there. So I guess do takeaway on 2 and 3 for the surprise round.

  7. I don't know if I am reading this wrong, but I thought Takeaway was a standard action (and able to do in the surprise round). It is a targeted Burst Area Selective Damage attack (Superspeed x5 feet radius - STR = 2/3 rank of my superspeed power) that disarms rather than does damage. Page 193 of Ultimate Power book. So don't you choose the area, and they all need to roll against my takeaway, just as if I sent in an area of effect blast?

  9. My wife changed her character concept a little and sked me to draw her character again... sigh. Here is the pencil (which didn't scan very good, but I will show you a final color when I am done). My group asked me to draw their characters so when I find time I will post them as I do them. Most likely do more in a couple of weeks. Next weekend is gonna be insanely busy.

  11. Well the first session is done, and I was able to successfully introduce two new characters into the campaign with one more joining us next week. I compiled a resource on the web for my players, and I thought I would share the site for those who are interested in reading what has happened so far in the campaign and what is coming up. I've been absent from the forums a lot over the last little while because: 1) I've been developing the M&M Campaign 2) Wrote a Character Builder from scratch for M&M using MS Access, VBA and SQL Scripting, which calculates all aspects of building the charcter using M&M 2nd edition rules, and saves the Character info created by the builder in a database. It also allows me to auto-populate character sheets in excel (I didn't like the spreadsheet character generator [too much fiddling and not user-friendly enough for me] - I modified their output form tho [which I liked]). I made the program so I could generate Villains much easier and have the program calculate the power cost as I build it step by step, stats, feats, saves, etc... 3) I printed a thousand props for the campaign on cardstock on my laser color printer to scale (trucks, cars, forklifts, barells, helicopters, etc...) and cut them all out. Gah that was tedious... But well worth it. My players' seemed very excited when they saw the combat map and all the props on it. Trucks were moving, forklifts were driving, and barrels were flying! Was very fun. 4) Working tons of OT at work. Hoping it will slow down soon. Anyways here is my site: http://ultimatesuperheroreview.sasktelwebsite.net/ :super: Also, there are links to two character sheets generated by my program on this site. You need to download the two fonts (Digital Strip & Badaboom BB) for the output to look normal. I have some pretty fun ideas for subplots and I have a main driving master plot which is beginning to take hold of the city of Paragon unknown to the heroes... For those who like to read campaign action, feel free to post here and give me more ideas for subplots if you think of cool stuff. You can follow the action there. heh heh. I am using a modern day (not futuristic) age, superheroes are not common (none exist that anyone knows of). This is the age where technology advances quickly. Prototypes are being developed by exceptionally intelligent people (maybe even superhero intelligence). Powered armor is at its infant stages, mutants are rare, tho popping up, and Criminal Masterminds are power hungry. It is a PL8 campaign to start. Anyways, enjoy. :)

  13. Initiative (1d20 29=32) Johnny instinctively attempts to takeaway burglar 1, 2 and 3's guns. Using the move by feat, once I grab whatever guns I can then run with the guns through the small hole with them. Takeaway (disarm) at 6 Str Bonus. (1d20 6=24)
