  1. Congratulations!
  2. Sounds good. I'm trying to come up with a plan; the addicts could be trouble so someone needs to take them out. NR can get down there and start mopping them up.
  3. Nightrival crosses his legs and stretches his arms across the back of the couch. "If yer steppin' up ta that Meta-Grue fella then I got nothing on ya, Hub. But if yer askin', Master Lee was my first teacher. I met 'im when I was a kid. After that, well, I guess I trained fer about fifteen years 'fore I put on th' mask."
  4. If Nightrival were to look out the window, could he see Targette?
  5. That's a good question. I suppose Sen could disappear in the background and remain silent, in keeping with his stoic nature. Unless we enter combat in this game, which I'm not opposed to at all, he can either vanish before the fight or his actions can be hand-waved after each round.
  6. This movie is worth seeing. The hype around Ledger's performance was not exaggerated; he seemed genuinely inspired by his role. I strongly recommend watching it if you're a Batman fan.
  7. Awesome, thanks. We'll see you when we see you. Come back soon. :)
  8. Nightrival turns to Hub. "Huh. That's why I was on my game when we were in Freeport: yer mojo was keepin' us afloat. That's good ta know. We can place ourselves in th' field accordin' ta our strengths." He thoughtfullly nods his head and eases back into the couch.
  9. I totally confused it with Takedown Attack. Okay, Twister gets the Instant Up feat instead. Okay, we'll go with that. Updated by V_M
  10. Nightrival peers around the edge of the wall, wincing as chunks come flying off as it slowly erodes from the constant barrage of gunfire. He catches a glimpse of a significant hole on the other side, just below the turrent that was blasted due to Nightrival's acrobatic trickery. The wall will be nothing but a stub in a few seconds, so he ducks and tumbles across the floor as red hot bolts chew up the ground while he rolls away from danger, then he springs to his feet when he gets behind another fake wall. With another quick glance he sees Grim find cover. He jumps up and leaps off the top of the wall, hurtling high above the other obstacles standing in the room. He bounds off another wall and performs another mid-air somersault, and then hits the ground and races towards the bunker where Grim has found safety. He slips inside and crouches low to avoid the slits. "Okay, yer doin' good," he whispers to Grim. "I think I found a way out. Jus' follow me and ya'll do alright."
  11. I'm back and ready for action. I'm posting ASAP. :)
  12. "Do it," Nightrival quickly answers. "We're kinda workin' a crisis at th' moment. Sometimes cuttin' corners will be our only option. We'll wait fer ya 'ere."
  13. No worries. Could Sen be used as a NPC?
  14. Nightrival leans back on the sofa and listens to Grim and Hub explain why Nightrival should take on the role as leader. He blushes deeply under his mask, not expecting to be nominated for the position. He thought someone else who is more capable, more articulate, and more popular than Nightrival would be their first choice. He smiles and the corner of his right eye suddenly twitches; he knows he gets along well with Grim but he never knew she feels so strongly about their partnership. He holds his palms out and tightens his shoulders. "Alright, alright," he murmurs. "I'll, uh, I'll be yer point man. Fer now. But if I end up lettin' ya'll down then ya gotta make sure someone take my place." He turns to Grim. "And, um, thanks. I mean it." "Fer sure," he replies. "I think Velocity has a good idea. We can use some kinda - I don't know - communicator ta keep in touch. I'm goin' ta send th' word out fer more recruits. I'll keep an eye out fer a gearhead." He take a handful of fries and nibbles on one. "This is workin' out well. Is there anythin' else we need ta be discussin'? I wanna hear what 's on yer mind?"
  15. "I glad ya can finally see, big guy," replies Nightrival. "I wouldn't want ya ta miss th' show." He snags Heavy's dangling arm and twists it behind the thug's back, and then deftly slides behind the battered man. Nightrival leans back, falls to the ground then tucks his feet under Heavy. Without delay, he uses his legs to shove the goon out the broken window.
  16. I have 3 PPs to spend on Nightrival. 1. CHA 12 (+1) = 2 PPs This will increase two skill bonuses: Gather Information 12 (+13) and Intimidate 14 (+15). 2. The Prone Fighting feat = 1 PP Also, the feats on the character sheet are not in alphabetical order. Would it be possible to cut and paste this new list? I included the new feat. Accurate Attack, Acrobatic Bluff, All-out Attack, Assessment, Blindfight, Chokehold, Contacts, Defensive Attack, Defensive Roll 3, Distract (Intimidate), Elusive Target, Equipment 2, Evasion 2, Grappling Finesse, Hide in Plain Sight, Improved Critical (19-20, unarmed), Improved Defense 2, Improved Disarm, Improved Grab, Improved Grapple, Improved Initiative, Improved Pin, Improved Throw, Improved Trip, Luck 2, Move-by Action, Power Attack, Prone Fighting, Quick Draw, Redirect, Stunning Attack, Takedown Attack 2, Uncanny Dodge (audio) I also have 1 PP to spend on Twister. He gets a second rank in the Move-by Action feat. Thanks! Updated by V_M
  17. I'm back online and I'll be posting ASAP. Thanks.
  18. I'm still working with an unreliable internet connection, and summer school is already kicking my butt. I will be back online by this weekend and I will (hopefully) continue posting by then. Thanks for your patience. :)
  19. Yes, Nightrival is just looking for a way out. :)
  20. There we go! I'll post NR's idea on my turn. :)
  21. I included a Notice check in the last round as a standard action. NR is looking for a way out, if anything pops up he can communicate it to Grim. However, Grim can make a Notice check as well. We don't know how many guns are behind the wall. We can continue smashing them, but sooner or later they will roll high and we'll roll low and then it's game over.
  22. I'm moving into a new house today, and I'm waiting for my service provider to install an internet connection. Expect delays in my posting. I apologize ahead of time to players and Refs. Thanks for reading. :)
  23. Nightrival tips his head to one side as he fetches another piece of chicken. "I'm flattered, but I generally work alone. I don't got th' experience needed ta lead others. In time, maybe. I could give it a shot in th' future. But, I think yer more capable - ya got a commandin' presence." He stands up and steps over to the cupboards above the coffemaker. He finds a set of mismatched dishes inside, pulls out five plates and sets them down on the table. "I'll lead if ya all vote fer me, though I'm castin' my vote elsewhere."
  24. Nightrival grabs a chicken leg and a napkin and tucks into the morsel. He hasn't eaten dinner, since he chose to spend a few extra hours on patrol. The meeting would cut into his routine and he wanted to make sure he can devote the same number of hours to his current responsibility. Their meeting is important; managing his time is of paramount importance at this point. His stomach has been grumbling since he arrived. "I'm fine not committin' ta a name," he replies. He wipes his fingers with the napkin. "An' I think we can figure 'ow ta organize ourselves on th' field." He finished the leg and deftly tosses the bone in a wastebasket. "But Hub has got me thinkin'. I'm not gonna lead this crew, so who is? I'm not inta workin' in some . . . collective. I like hierarchies; keeps things runnin' smoothly. Should we 'ave a vote or what?"
  25. Nightrival listens to Kevin and nods in agreement. "Alright, then. We've been at it all day an' we got some quality intel on our guy. I say that we earned some rest," he says. "Let's find somewhere ta 'ang our 'ats and start out tomorrow mornin'."
