Eyes: Yellow Description: Ver-Man is an anthropomorphic rat. A sewer rat, to be more precise. He has grotesque features, sharp fangs and a long, thick tail. He certainly looks far more rat than man. History: Vernan Darrow was a mild mannered bank teller in the old days. He loved collating the numbers, and at a bank, he could do that for hundreds of citizens of Freedom City at one. He was a smart man, but not ambitious, and so while he was excellent at his job, he never went anywhere whilst other, less capable people were promoted around him. Vernan didn’t care, while he was where he was, he could collate until his hearts desire. Then came the day the sinister simian broke into the bank. The police were baffled that the angry ape didn’t steal any money, making off with some of the bank workers instead. Vernan was one of them. He spent the next few months being totured and experimented upon. It was hell. When he was liberated from his captor, the heroes of Freedom City thought they could cure him of his new, rat like form. Unfortunately, their reversal was only cosmetic - rat DNA was buried deep inside Vernan, and when he and his wife died giving birth to a much longed for daughter two years later, he despaired to find what was to be the symbol of his rebuilt life tainted with rodent-like features. The shock drove Vernan over the edge and his rediscovered humanity drained before the very eyes of those around him. He staggered towards the hospital exit, images of his dead wife and freak child spinning through his mind. His life was over - gone. Worse that that! It would have been better never to have been. His face was twitching in odd ways - distorting. Hospital staff were conflicted on either trying to help, or avoid the sweaty, skittish man who seemed to be tumbling down the hallways. His hand, lightly trailing along the hospital wall absently, began to leave a mark in it's wake. His mouth began to open, making room for already ragged, sharp teeth. Inside, his mind was crumbling. All of his life he'd been careful. He counted things - that's what he did. Numbers were easy, they were either there, or he would find them. Collating was what he'd been born to do, and now nothing added up! It would still only cost 10pp, though, as opposed to the Visual obscure which would cost 20pp.

  22. You can actually ignore that post of mine, actually - I got down to the bottom of the first page and didn't realise the discussion went on :oops: Still, onward! EDIT: Also, I just wanted to say that I love the idea of everyone starting at PL 5 to 10, and then having to work their way up the levels. We could say something like 'X' amount of posts for every level, that way we will eventually have PL 20 dudes, but we know that the players are comitted to making the place a fun place to hang. If could also be a level based curve - ie: PL 5 - 6 = 100 posts; PL 6 - 7 = 200 posts?
