  1. With a grunt that was absorbed into the void, Powerhouse slid backwards, barely avoiding becoming seriously injured from the attack. hurt. he thought to himself, then shook his head, staring down the man. Beta, Cherubim, Metatron, they hurt worse. I can handle this. He thought to himself, cracking his neck and getting into a deeper stance, ready for the next round of attacks. If he could just keep the massive man busy while the White hero dealt with the odd half-man, then they could team up on this guy and maybe bring him down. He steeled his nerves, made his face blank, and prepared for his own attack.
  2. Terror Rushed forward, his hands extended, towards the man who had, kind of, knocked him off course before. His mouth in a roar, though there was no sound, he slammed his fist into Powerhouse as hard as he could, the ground giving way under the amount of force behind the massive brute's first as it crashed into the Hero's chest, making him slide backwards from his own blow as the hero did the same, leaving the two a few feet apart at the end of it. The man seemed to attempt to say something, but the soundless world around them absorbed it instead of allowing it to exist at all. The enemies had struck, but no changes occurred in the group, save for a pair of skid-marks on the ground where the two heavy-hitters had met.
  3. WU wasted no Time in beginning his Assault. Lowering both his hands, they briefly both glowed white, then he thrust them forward. A beam of Light shot out from them at Gabriel, soundless in the void where they would be a loud bzzt in the air, closing the distance and skipping Powerhouse to aim at the white-clad hero, though the beam missed badly, shooting several feet off to the left of the Angelic Hero's head and hitting a nearby float instead. Returning his hands to his side, he grasped his face and shook to attempt to get the dizziness out of his head, then steadied himself for the next attack, the glowing of his hands back to the all-brightening white and the all-consuming darkness.

  5. Powerhouse sighed at Knight, but did grin after a second. "I was getting through to her!" He said unhappily. "Then I was going to throw a chair at her, but whatever. You know I can't reach her, right? So this is all you." He said, kicking the table in front of him, kicking it so hard that it rocketed high into the air to where it was almost invisible due to sheer height. "I can do this though." He said, holding out a hand as if waiting for something.
  6. As the Brute was smashed into by the smaller hero, He didn't even break stride, ignoring the fist. However, something was enough that the brute veered away from Gabriel and listed the float that WU had fallen behind. The Half-Black, Half-White covered man was standing on the other side, and calmly walked past the Brute, back towards The Tranquil Tyrant. When he reached him, he handed him a small notepad that had writing on it, which the Power-armored man read over for a time then nodded at. The Brute returned to the Tyrant's side as well, and the three took up a set of positions that faced them against the two Heroes, WU on the left, his hands extended outwards as the right hand absorbed the light Given off by the left, though as much darkness was turned into light by the left as light was to darkness by the right, while the Brute just screamed a wordless, soundless, roar. The Tyrant himself lazily stepped back, waiting to see how it played out between the four heroes. The Zepplien had apparently received new orders, however, as, with a loud gear turning sound, the Cannons began firing towards Gabriel and Powerhouse.
  7. The massive man's charge was interuptted, however, by a streak of blue and white as Powerhouse crashed into him, the Blonde-haired hero smashed into the man at full speed, moving as fast as an Olympic runner, his muscles screaming, as he plowed towards the massive man and, at the edge of his reach, delivered a massive right hook to the brute's head that would have been massively loud, had the entire place not been silent, but the amount of resistance that Powerhouse felt made him focus entirely on the man he had just hit, instead of turning to anything else. The reason Powerhouse was here was because, simply enough, he had been watching the parade as Tim with his boss' nephew- Tim had been given time off for it- . When the first Cannonballs hit the ground, Tim had grabbed the child in his arms and ran, dashing through the crowds until he was several blocks away, putting the child down, he had rushed back as fast as he could, stripping off his clothing and wig as fast as he could, only barely removing his contacts before he saw the brute rushing towards the other man, and had intercepted him.
  8. WU was planning on draining the boy of his life, a quick way to finish him, but they didn't reach the child before something slammed into them. The lack of sound was not just a hindrance to the people, but the villains as well were having trouble adapting to the inability to hear, so as WU was blasted away from the child their wordless curse was completely unheard as they hit the pavement and bounced over a float, coming to a rest several feet behind it. The child stopped screaming as he saw this, and smiled happily at Gabriel, but his voice was silent as he spoke, before he ran off, away from the upcoming clash of Hero and Villains. This lasted for a little bit, as the two remaining members of the group took some time to turn around- the big Yellow man seemed to have been distracted headbutting a float-, but when they did, The Tranquility Tyrant slapped the large yellow man on the shoulder, and he rushed towards Gabriel, a silent roar freezing his face.

  10. Powerhouse's response was a completely blank stare at the butterfly lady, which sat for a little bit, as he realized this woman really was retarded, followed by more talking. "Mam, I don't even know what Incriminate means.", according to how I act, "but you commited a crime, Superheroes are coming after you to stop you and send you to jail, and you are saying the Darkside is more fun. This doesn't make sense. You said earlier you didn't want to go to prison, but being a Criminal means you go to prison, no questions asked. Think about it. I'm not that strong a Hero, I couldn't protect you from all the stronger ones even if I wanted to, which means that me joining with you seems to be a seriously stupid idea, because then I would be sent to jail. So the best option, if you want to avoid going to jail, isn't to be evil and hurt people, but to either do nothing, or be a hero. If you don't want to be a hero, that's fine, I'm sure there's super-beings around who refuse to pick a side, but when you think about it, how many villains are there who have always avoided capture? So really, being a Villain is a repeating cycle of breaking out, going to jail, and breaking out again. It's cause and effect, and you can't just do the cause and not expect the Jail to happen. Really, I think the best situation here is if you give up, serve your Jail term for this offense, then you can be let out and, so long as you don't do anything like this again, you'll be free." He explained simply, drawing out each word and stressing each syllable. This woman, who was so clearly mentally deficent, needed serious help. It almost made him sad, because the woman was so obviously unfit to even exist next to herself, and she had been given superpowers. Of course she would make an uninformed decision and become a villain. This actually made him wonder if all villains were just mentally stupid people who became villains because their powers had just been given to them when it would have been better to give them to someone who understood what they meant. This made him frown, and he added a single sentence to the end of his statement. "I am so sorry for you, by the way mam, but your struggling gives us all hope." He finished, nodding at his own statement- it was obviously teh correct thing to say- and feeling supremely confident that the woman would see the errors of her ways and willingly turn herself in. "Also, can you land and do the dress thing again, please?" He asked, having finally turned to look at the woman instead of talking to the stage at her feet, and getting an eye-full of what he really didn't want to see, causing his face to turn scarlet red as he covered his eyes again.
  11. OOC for This Thread The Cannon's Firing is a Hazard requiring a DC 15 Reflex save at the end of each player's turn, DC 15 Toughness if failed, inflicts Piercing so even though it does 0 effective damage, Impervious doesn't stop it. Otherwise, it's a standard, but there is No Sound, at all, though Sound Based Powers can still work, anything that needs Auditory (Such as Uncanny Dodge (Auditory)) wouldn't work
  12. The bang of cymbals, the sound of drums thudding, the twangs of guitars, the sounds of wood-winds, all merged together into music. Alongside the music was the quiet roaring of people talking, the loud roar of planes and cars, and general sounds. The parade through midtown tumbled through the streets without a care, balloons of different superheroes floated through the chilly air, floats of multiple colors bounced along the ground, and the general atmosphere was one of fun, with people clapping, children cheering- or crying for other reasons-, and multiple other sounds. It was a day of fun. It was in this that, unnoticed by the crowd, a dark blue zeppelin floated through the skies over the balloons, outfitted with multiple cannons and other items. On it, a man in gold armor- two men beside him- stared at the balloons. “How Uncouth. Woman Heroes!†He barked incredulously, as a balloon of a heroine floated by him. “This parade as a whole is so insightful. Come, WU, Terror, let us descend. Open fire, a good warning volley, to show them we mean business.†He directed at a man near him, who nodded fearfully and began pressing buttons. The roar as the cannonballs struck a balloon and burst it, then hit the ground and sent a float toppling over was quickly deafened by the screams of terror from the people in attendance. They fled instantly, escaping into allies, down the streets, and multiple other ways. The people in the floats abandoned them to join in the chaos, leaving them unattended as they rolled towards the people, some faster than others, while the marching bands dropped their instruments and joined in the exodus, but their exhaustion at having to march for so long made them the most sluggish of the groups. It was within this cavalcade of terror that three people descended from the zeppelin, or, to be more precise, two men descended, the other just jumped out and slammed into the ground. One was a massive man; his height seemed to be in the double digits, at least eleven feet all, his skin a sickly yellow, his fists as big around as a man’s head, his arms like a normal person’s legs, and his legs like a normal person. With a simple effort, he lifted a float close to him over his head, and screamed as he tore it in half. The second was a man clothed fully from head to toe, half of it was white, on his left side, while his right side was covered in dark; light seeped off his right hand, while his right sucked it into a complete darkness. Turning slowly, the covered man extended his light hand, and fired a blast of pure white energy at a float. It flipped into the air, and came crashing down several feet away, skidding to a stop. The third man, dressed in his gold armor with its blue and red highlights, was The Tranquility Tyrant. Throwing several grenades forward, he smiled under his armor. “This should give us some peace and quiet.†He said, before they went off, his voice almost completely masked by a scream. As the Silence rained, unnaturally, as a truck float crashed into another one and nothing spilled out from the grinding of the two together, The Tranquility Tyrant turned around, spotting a small boy screaming silently. The armored villain pointed at him, and the black and white figure nodded, advancing on the boy with his darkness covered hand forward. Throughout this, the barrage from the Zeppelin did not stop, pounding Cannonballs into the nearby buildings without a sound, even where there should be. Silence Reigned.
  13. Nodding, Powerhouse cracked his back as he listened to her, scratching his cheek"I thought Superheroes always gave out their information to each other. That way when we have massive team-ups, no one shows up 2 hours late to the party." he said as a joke, ignoring her comment on the powers- the massive amount of metahumans was exactly the reason he was here, so in some ways, it was the very reason he was standing here that night-, and waving, he leaped into the air again and through the night sky, intent on finding more crimes to thwart or something similar. He was happy that tonight had turned out alright, meeting someone new and saving the day, so his patrol now was mostly so he could enjoy the fact he did something good. It was like that that Powerhouse leaped through the sky with a grin on his face, a red and white blur as he hopped through the air, to the ground, and to the sky again.
  14. writing his number down in simple, plain letters, Powerhouse gave the sheet back with his cell phone- the only thing he reliably carried- written on it. "Well, I was raised to use my powers for a company, so of course I decided to use them for others. I couldn't stand being a Villain, honestly. It seems so strange to put your personal needs above everyone else. I mean, sure, I understand roof over your head and food on the table, but to steal because you can or something, that makes no sense." He explained, as the other Hero got on and he leaped from the roof. Enjoying the sensation of jumping, but knowing it would end to soon, he still smiled when he hit the pavement to let Silhouette off. "That was a fun night. Getting to save people from a Car Crash, stopping thugs, it was my first real taste of being a Superhero." He explained, smiling. "I had tons of fun."
  15. His lips turned down into a frown as the woman repeated her statements without answering his question, seriously annoying- this woman was clearly not all there-, so he tried again, accenting every syllable extremely heavily. "Lady, you sound like one of those Medicine commercials. What exactly do you want us to do? I can't agree to help you until you tell us how you want us to help, so stop talking in circles and just tell me." He said, sitting back in his chair and tapping his finger on the table impatiently, for all of his 'plan'- which was making it up as it goes along until something good happened-, he was badly impatient and couldn't wait to get it over with.
  16. Sighing, Powerhouse stood up slowly, pushing himself up to his full height and stretching. "When you have power, you have to use it to help people, no matter what your fears are. I fear being seen for certain reasons, but I'm going to be a hero." He said with a grin, as he lowered himself down and looked at the Shop. Nodding, he kicked open his panel again and pulled his cell-phone out of his bag, flipping it open. "A lift sounds easy to do. Uhh, if you ever need help with something, I think it's right for Superheroes to team up, right? So I can give you my number, that way if, for some reason, you need help, you can call me. If you want to. You don't have to." he explained, holding the phone out with it open to his own number in the address book. "So yeah, I can get you to the shop now." He said, crouching on the ground again.
  17. Squirming in the cocoon even harder, Striker seemed almost deaf to the statements from Gaian, mostly because he was screaming so loudly he couldn't hear except for when he had to pause for breath. "Let me out! Let me out! For the love of all things, let ME OUT OF HERE!" He screamed at Gaian, shaking the cocoon. "There you are again!" He said, twisting and turning, soundly reasonably un-crazy for the minute. "You keep saying 'Calm down', but you have me trapped in this hole and I can't see! I can't negotiate with someone being so cruel!" He finished, back to the whining and screaming.
  18. Coming out of his reverie as Silhouette snapped at him, he watched as she flipped through the papers and grabbed one of his own. He couldn't really understand it, but he knew it had to be bad, considering the trouble those two went through to get rid of the people who had stolen it. putting it down, he shook his head at the mention of Police. "No, I can't go to the Cops, I don't...I can't show who I am. It's bad if people see me, or I'm too well known. It's bad, you see?" He explained, his fingers moving around randomly as he tried to explain. Uhh, I suppose you could go to the cops, but you can't tell them about me. It's bad." He repeated, emphasizing that point.
  19. As Powerhouse landed on the roof- glad to have escaped the cops in case they wanted his statement-, he let Silhouette off and looked over the edge of the roof. Seeing the people below, he nodded happily that they were doing what was necessary, and he stepped away from the roof before he could be seen. Curling his legs under him, he dropped to a sitting position and waited patiently for Silhouette to tell him what to do next, as he always did when with another hero. Someone with experience was a good teacher, so he was perfectly happy being reactionary instead of forced to figure out his own things. As such, he began counting off on his fingers, nothing in particular, just counting in an almost wordless mumble.
  20. Powerhouse's face became utterly impassive after the woman turned away- though he continued his words, his face was blank- but when she spoke, he grinned again, in the same grin that was probably mildly disturbing. However, he did his best to sound and act like he cared, all the more becoming more and more sure that this woman really, really, really needed to go to some insane asylum, or just be locked up. Then again, he didn't want to get into an actual altercation, better to take her out when she wasn't paying attention, so he simply leveled his gaze back at her and scratched his chin. "I'm a Hero," probably, possibly...no chance in the world. "But we have to know what the favor is before we do it. I agreed on a certain set of terms, but if you try to do something that goes against those terms I would be unable to accompany you."
  21. "Come on lady! It's constructive Criticism! You know, showing you how to get better? or something. I don't know!" He said, as the two were surrounded, but he spared a laugh. "At least give me a chance, Please?" he said, putting on his best begging face and looking up at the woman. "How about we just all calm down, I can take you out to get something to eat, we can all calm down, your performance was actually great, I just got caught up. It's the TV, you know? There's always one evil judge, and I thought it was supposed to be me. I figured you'd know I was kidding!" He said, waving his hands frantically. "I mean, of course your dance was great, I mean, perfect, there's no way anyone could do any better, so let's calm down, and your singing, Tres Magnificant!~" He said, in horrible, incorrect French, like he knew what he was saying at all. "So lets all just calm down, We can have a seat, and me and Knight here." He slapped the other man on the back. "Will do whatever we can to make it up to you. So lets all calm down." He said, backpedaling so fast that the bike tires lit on fire and he went back in time. He gave his best grin, mildly wondering why he was trying to be nice to the woman who was obviously insane, but whatever, if he could just get close enough to get her distracted, he could end this, hopefully. Then the lightbulb went on again, and he added one more thing, mostly to save his poor eyes- he shouldn't have to be submitted to the treatment of having to look at a naked woman! He wasn't a pervert like that!- "Also, you should make the dress again! You see...uhh...people think you look sexier when you have enough clothing to protect all the...you know....and a little more. Exhibitionism isn't that good at all, not really. Let's all calm down." He added at the end, looking at Knight.
  22. Powerhouse was silent for a long time, his face completely stern, as his brain tried to adjust. 'Tough guy, not nice, rough...remember that' He thought to himself, his mind mostly blanking out. He saw the dancing, but didn't really pay any attention- it was good or something, he knew, but he wasn't sure how to judge it by. Letting the world move by, he focused on each individual thing. First, he turned to Knight with a smile and an extended hand. "Nice to meet you Knight, I'm Powerhouse. Because I'm strong. I don't think hard about names." He said, his smile turning into a grin as he reclined in his chair, his focus moving swiftly from the other man to the woman- He was unsure if the man was under the woman's control as the others, so he just had to be prepared, but even so, he should be able to move fast enough to finish his plan before he was taken. Assuming he was under mind-control, it was hopefully being fought off by the man, and if he could knock out the woman, he'd be safe. Secondly, when the Woman gave a smile and a clap as he followed and sat down, he arched an eyebrow- was this woman a psychopathic hypnotist or a fifteen year old girl?-, but walked exactly as he assumed a person under her spell would look, a blank look without moving his brows and letting her begin her number. He hadn't seen many dances- he usually wasn't invited-, but he was nice enough to offer a clap and he knew it was good- somehow-, but he also focused and only clapped a little bit, knowing he had to prepare for what was coming. As Knight stood up and spoke, Powerhouse could only barely consider if the man was captured or not. It seemed not- he didn't know this woman either-, but it was hard to say. Shaking his head as the man spoke- as if disagreeing with him-, he waited with an aloof look at both Knight and the woman on stage, then, when he finished, stood up to his full height. "That. Was. Horrible." He said, agonizingly slowly, placing his fists on the table and leaning over it. "Worst performance I've ever seen, and I've watched Snail Races! Not only did you attempt to sing in your shrill harpy voice, but you even had to bother to pull someone up to dance with you! That's not how this Pageant works! Each Individual is supposed to do their own actions, not require the help of someone for it! Your dancing reminds me of an Epileptic Worm having a seizure, while your backup dancer was a mindless husk who did nothing! And her actions will be on your head because she was your dancer!" He finished, slapping his hands on the table before falling back in the chair. "Get off my stage and never come back!" He finished, pointing to the stairs.
