  1. "Artists?" Creature Feature looked back and forth between Silhouette and Momentum, scratching his head. He wasn't sure what black-wearing not-ninja ninjas had to do with art or anything, nor what hanging out in a park at midnight had to do with art either. On the other hand, he really had no idea what Carrie did in her spare time, and the massive number of posters on the walls of her apartment and the general sardonic attitude belying a presumed deep and intense suffering... maybe she was into art? Come to think of it, weren't ninjas supposed to be artsy too? And she was like a ninja... "Wait, is that your superpower, then? You can, like, read minds and figure out if someone hangs out with artists and stuff?"
  2. Creature Featured brushed himself off with the back of his hands, trying unsuccessfully to keep the tangled mess of fur on his body in order. "Uh, well... actually, this is only the second time I've been Wolfguy." Creature Feature mused. "I can do a few other monster-things too, but Silhouette thinks I should get a handle on the whole werewolf bit first before I play around too much. That, and it's easier to hide, I think..." The were-creature pointed a claw at Momentum. "What about you? How long have you been... uh... y'know... Hoodie?" The question fell flat as Vance shrugged his massive shoulders.
  3. "It's a costume? So you are a super hero!" Vance chirped excitedly as he shook Momentum's hand using a little too much strength. "I haven't figured out how to do a costume or anything yet, though." Looking back at Silhouette, Creature Feature maintained his firm grip on Momentum's hand as he drew eerily close to Momentum and whispered in his ear. "Whatever you do, don't call her a ninja. I think ninjas might have, like, killed her family and she swore vengeance or something."
  4. "Oh yeah. The whole Wolfguy thing..." Creature Feature grinned sheepishly - a grin that was most unbecoming of the typical werewolf. Maintaining his silly-looking smile, the wolf-man extended a large, be-clawed hand to Momentum. "I'm Va... Creature Feature. Sorry about the mixup."
  5. "Yeah!" "Yeah!!" "Ye- wait, cops?" Creature Feature turned to Silhouette, losing his self-confident momentum and rubbing his left ear with a paw. "I-is this illegal or somethin', Sil? My dad would kill me if I was breakin' the law..." After he posed the question, he turned to the mysterious adventurer. "What's with the getup anyway? Some kind of... American gangstah hood-guy or somethin'?"
  6. As Momentum addresses the crowd, murmurs continue. You can see a few stragglers at the back leaving, but for the most part very few people leave, despite your efforts and the efforts of the police. It's likely that, regardless of your efforts, they simply won't buy the story from a kid. Too bad! However, Cannonade has another idea... Looking about and listening well, much of the crowd is repeating a few words to each other: "It's just a technical issue..." "...It's dangerous here..." "We should go..." "...not safe..." The crowd is buying what the kid and the officers are telling them. And yet most of these people show no signs of moving.
  7. Absolutely. Gonna give a little more time before things start up to let more people join. Ronin - you can have your hero point back for the crowd complication.
  8. Creature Feature looked back and forth between the conversation, ignoring his vice-like grip on his assailant. Confused, he held up the young hero at Silhouette. "So, uh, you don't know this guy? I thought he was one of your... nevermind." A little deflated at his false assessment of the situation, coupled with Monument's unheroic "thing" description, Creature Feature shoulders fell as he gently put down the be-hooded visitor. "Sorry for grabbin' you like that. I, uh... I thought you might be a ninja. Y'know - makin' a ninja attack... or something..." Vance trailed off in his embarrassment.
  9. Yeah - you're not getting away any time soon.
  10. Huh? Just let the lady g...OH! Creature Feature brightened as he smiled devilishly, showing off his large array of sharpened teeth. "I get it now..." he barked as he gently shook his would-be assailant. This must have been what Carrie was up to when she asked me to grab her. Her sparring ninja-partner could sneak up on me and show me how vulnerable I was to a possible attack from behind. Looks like she's been training more than one young hero! Gee, I'm glad he didn't really attack me. That coulda hurt! The werewolf chuckled to himself. "Well, this is one fight you're not winnin', pal!"
  11. Creature Feature turned to face his assailant, opening his mouth to give a little speech of his own. His jaw simply hung open, however, when he looked at his would-be assailant. Vance stretched out a powerful werewolf arm, picking up Momentum by the back of his hoodie and hoisting him up to eye level. "Uh..." Dumbfounded, Creature Feature blinked trying to wrack his brain for anything appropriate to say. Eventually, he blurted out a low, bestial "...Nice hoodie. Are those, like, gang colours?" What kind of gang hangs out in a Park anyway?
  12. Momentum isn't doing much to hide herself, so a 20 should be more than enough to see a person in low light this close. Since it technically takes a standard action to "escape" a grapple/pin, I'm assuming it's my turn. Edit: I just noticed that escaping a pin is house-ruled to a move action. Sorry, Aoiroo! Didn't mean to act before you. Attack is a nat 20 and a 34 on the grapple check! It figures I'd use all my good rolls on people who are not trying to kill their opponents. Grapple action is to pin.
  13. Nat 20 on the toughness save. I'm deliberately "failing" my next grapple check on your turn, Aoiroo.
  14. Silhouette had been right. It was clear that Vance had very little idea as to his own strength. Creature Feature wrenched up from the tackle, concerned as to his mentor's possible injuries. However, before he could apologize, something slammed into his back quite hard. While the attack caused no real damage whatsoever, Creature Feature still slammed right back into Silhouette, much to his annoyance. "Who's there?!" Creature Feature demanded in a beastly snarl. He looked about for his assailant, letting go of his alleged victim at the same time. If this is a thug, he's soooooooo gonna get it. I'll show Carrie what I can do! Creature Feature grinned to himself as he snarled.
  15. Look upon my Init of 9, ye mighty, and despair.
  16. A 24 to hit and 26 grapple. Creature Feature's defense is 15 for the round, or 12 if the grapple is successful and he goes down to flat footed.
  17. Creature Feature stumbled forward as his large feet caught Silhouette's leg. With a twist of his body, the werewolf form tucked into a roll to avoid falling flat. Creature Feature flipped around using both his legs and digging a claw deep into the dirt to stop the forward motion. Vance smiled at his improvised display of acrobatics. "I'll getcha this time!" With much less hesitation as before, Creature Feature charged forward, using his large legs to leap at Silhouette surprisingly fast, attempting to catch her in a tackle.
  18. Were-Creature's defense is 16 (13 Flatfooted). He has danger sense, if you're attacking by surprise, though with a particularly bad Notice Check.
  19. "Uh... okay." Creature Feature took a deep breath. Not knowing what to expect, he cautiously approached Silhouette while in a bizarre, unhelpful stance. Thoughts swam in his head about Silhouette's observations on the fragility of people, and Vance certainly didn't want to hurt anyone - least of all a friend. Distracted by his thoughts, he clumsily reached out to grab Silhouette in an awkward motion.
  20. It seems that around this place, the sounds of the dead are more silent than usual. This is both a blessing and a curse, for while it is difficult to ascertain clues about the enigmatic girl in this place, it is also quite likely that the people in the casino are still alive for the moment...
  21. The police officer scowled a bit as he saw the young hero "We're still figurin' that out, son. You'd best be goin' back home, though. That thing's even managed to make a few big super heroes disappear, and it doesn't show any signs of stopping." As if on cue, another police officer with a megaphone blared over the sounds of the restless crowd gathered before the dome. "Please evacuate the area in an orderly fashion. This dome is considered dangerous and unstable. Please return to your homes immediately." Anxiety fills the air as the murmurs of the crowd rival the sounds of the police megaphone. Despite the warnings and police orders, no one moves.
  22. "ACK!" Shocked again by Silhouette's sudden appearance, Creature Feature performed an encore of their first meeting, simultaneously trying to spin, shield himself and operate his giant werewolf legs at the same time, resulting in a loss of balance and a predictable tumble. "Oh... aheh... Sorry. I, ah, had problems. With transportation. And that stuff..." Vance grinned awkwardly while his large teeth reflected what little moonlight came into the Park. He followed Silhouette to the makeshift sparring ground, looking about with curiosity when he did not have to concentrate on his own feet and the path before him. "Uh... Fight?" Creature Feature rubbed the top of his head as he tried to remember any fights he had. Vance was usually not the fighting type, and even the door-slamming type of fight was a foreign concept. "Well... I fought a bully once... kinda" The bully in question was self-proclaimed Jeremy "The Fist" James. Like most encounters with Jeremy, it wasn't so much a "fight" as it was a brutal, one-sided pummeling. And even though the last time wasn't different in that respect... Creature Feature shook his head. In either case, it didn't really serve as combat experience. "Oh! And I once punched a neighbor a couple months back. It... uh... didn't do much."
  23. The sliding glass door automatically opens to you as you approach. A cool, artificially filtered air blows past you, escaping into the surreal landscape. You have entered The Lobby. A beautiful stone centerpiece built around a rather comfortable-looking throne takes up most of the space center space. The whole display is roped off with red, velvet ropes and a plaque finishes the artistic piece. The plaque Reads: Welcome to The Luxury Where you are Royalty Up ahead, you see row upon row of electronic slot machines and gambling tables of all sorts. The tell-tale plinking and ringing sounds indicate that some of the slot machines are currently being played, although a cursory glance reveals no one. The patterned marble floor mosaic flows around the piece, with a golden mosaic path branching off in various directions A sign hanging above you labels the paths. ↠Reception ↑→ Hotel Tower, Gaming floor ↑↠Attractions, Shopping → Parking Despite the indication that the Gaming Floor is towards a specific direction, any direction beyond the lobby is lined with various electronic gambling machine. This place is a labyrinth, and it would be easy to get lost. Despite the number of people that were supposed to be in the casino and hotel at this time, you see no one and hear no one.
  24. Stupid, stupid, stupid... Vance chanted his self-depreciating mantra inside his head as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop going to Downtown Freedom. He had given himself a little more than a half hour to get to the Park - certainly enough time to get to the Park by express bus... The large werewolf rubbed his snout with a large, clawed hand as he vaulted over an alley. In this monstrous form, Vance couldn't take his bike, much less expect passage on a bus. Leaping was surprisingly slow when you avoided particularly high rooftops and didn't chance leaping over particularly busy roads. Despite the setbacks, Vance had made it. The large trees and dimmed lights of the Parkside were in view. "Alright!" Vance celebrated in his new, growling tone. He leapt as far as he could to the site, brushing past the trees and diving deep into the grassy sanctuary. It didn't take long before Creature Feature's nose picked up a familiar scent. "Carrie?" Vance's ears perked up as he looked and listened for any sign of a familiar face.
  25. Go ahead and post an introduction in the IC thread as well as roll initiative for later use.
