  1. Who is this? Anya thought as the angry woman stormed into the room. She crossed her arms and looked at Phantom with a smirk. The costume she had to admire. Not anyone could pull off a one piece bathing suit. Especially one as stacked as this woman. Man, the costumes he gives out are doozies, aren't they? She smiled and looked to Avenger with a raised eyebrow, seemingly ignoring the mystic-in-the-living-room scenario, "So, is this another associate or are you... entertaining?"
  2. Anya looked at Jack with a smile. IT was always nice to see him. Nice white dress shirt. Tight black pants. Like something off the cover of a bodice ripper. She looked totally out of place with him in her bright raver clothing. A tank top. Loose fit low riding pants. Something she wore all the time before she 'died' It was either that or the drab black goth clothing. Black clothing is for funerals, and she wasn't dead yet. She timidly bit her bottom lip and held her arms behind her back as he greeted her. She smiled when he asked if she wanted something. Of course I do, she thought. Though she never told him that he was a beautiful work of art that she wanted for herself. "No, I'm good. Had something before you called me," she said straightening up and looking at him straight, "So, I've got what you want."
  3. Avenger's apartment? If she had a heart that beat, it would be going a mile a minute right now. This was going to be the first time she saw her saviour's domain. She prepped herself. Hair alright, clothes not wrinkled, breath not kickin, no blood on teeth. Check, check, check and check. Afterwords she turned into a vapory cloud and ZOOMED to Avenger's location. She got there a few minutes later. Knocking on the door, she then heard the question. "Are you classified as human?" She responded in turn, "Negative, I am a meat popsicle."
  4. The girl just didn't listen! Nock called a challenge out to her twice! And now her reinforcement was probably dead! Wait, was she slurring? Was this just a drunken rampage? Good lord, another hero may have fell to their death because of this incident! She angrily went to pick up her bow. That girl was gonna pay for her actions. Before she could reach for her weapon of choice, a girl leaped up at the drunken Angel. More reinforcements? Three on one? No, she deserved her comeuppance. As Angel drunkenly stumbleflew towards her, Nock steadied her blade. When she got in line, Nock landed a slash directly where the starlet drew her heart. Don't ever call a shot for Nock. Ever.
  5. SWORD'D! 21/Toughness if hit (1d20+8=22)
  6. The homeless girl let out a silent curse in her mind. She couldn't lose her quarry that fast. Picking up the pace, she followed him. He would not get away. Rouge disappeared from sight and quickly followed the rough looking man. What was he up to? Wait a second! She could selectively disappear to everyone but him. And, well, Avenger. She did so popping into plain sight in front of him. She was in her regular form and costume. "So, how may I help you this evening, my good man?"
  7. Rouge floated up to the rooftops in a gaseous form. She could get a better view from up there anyway. It was better to have the high ground too! When she got up there she saw someone strange. He looked rougher than the couple back there. He might be able to cause some trouble. Floating back down to the alley way she switched appearances to an unassuming girl, no younger than ten. She even changed her clothes to look like hobo clothes as no ten year old would be walking around in what she was in.walking with her head down, she walked out of the alleyway with her head down towards the big scary man and bumped into him, "Oh sorry, Mister"
  8. Galstaff, you have entered the door to the North. You are now by yourself, standing in a dark room. The pungent stench of mildew emanates from the wet dungeon walls.
  9. Rouge was getting used to prowling the alleyways of the theatre district. It was her home turf. She felt like it's protector. No one did anything at night without her watchful eyes on them. Of course Avenger was around, still watching her fledgling vampire steps. That would suffice. Sometimes you need all the help you can get. He wasn't bad looking help either. She stopped when she saw a couple huddled in an alleyway. Stealthily she crept up to them with out them even noticing her. She quickly found out why. Homeless people were were a sad sight, but there was nothing she could do about their plight. She left as stealthily as she came. There were other parts to deal with.
  10. Apparently Nock's little distraction didn't work. Time to get more blatant. Setting down her bow and drawing her sword, she stood up. She did in time to see the reinforcements get blasted. Hard. Alright, gotta act fast. "Didn't you hear me? I'm over here!" She waved over the starlet, "I've got a something for you! Don't you want it?"
  11. Nock Change "Her skin is lightly colored, denoting her half-asian heritage." to "She has dusky skin and dark hair, reflecting her Korean-American heritage." Put the Penetrating extra on her blast DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
  12. Anya smiled and quickly embraced her new friend around his torso and laid the side of her head on his chest. "Thank you so much," she said in a relieved tone before letting him go just as quick. Well, hopefully he was a friend and not leading her into a trap. If so, this was some of the most beautiful bait ever. "Tell me more about this place," she began to cautiously query, "Are you going to be there too? Are there any more vampires like us?" She stopped herself before she just started blurting everything that was on her mind. After a nervous chuckle, she spoke softly, "Forgive me for being uppity."
  13. Trick Angel, maybe? (1d20=11)
  14. Nock staggered back as the blast hit the building. Woah. Not cool. Then again, she did shoot first. Then again, she got Angel away from the people. Then again, she should stop thinking and do something. Then a shot from nowhere came towards them. It looked like it was supposed to hit Angel. But it did not. Great, reinforcements. Letting out a sharp whistle, she chided the surfing bird, "Up here!" She ducked behind the rubble, maybe she would hit it and fall off, so they could meet face to face. Shooting at a flying target is dangerous anyway.
  15. Somehow Nock's description didn't get included Description: Jessica is a lithe girl, toned by many years of physical activity. Her skin is lightly colored, denoting her half-asian heritage. She keeps her hair short and almst always in a ponytail. She wears the requisite fashion during the day, t-shirt and pants or skirt. When she's out as Nock though, she wears a black leather suit and a a wrap-style domino mask, thick enough to cover her face from the top of her forehead down to her nose. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN

  17. Is that who I think it is? Nock thought as she saw the carnage. The Angel? Well THIS will make the tabloids in the morning. But now I have to stop her. This could be bad. She could knock Angel off the flying surfboard and make her a stain on the pavement. Then again, she was terrorizing people! Nock took steady aim, lining up her shot at the mad hero. Letting the arrow fly towards the target.
  18. Nock and Ironclad team up!
  19. Jessica prowled the rooftops. This was her first official patrol. Ever since she saved the lady a few days ago, she planned this whole thing. The Fens seemed like the perfect place to start. You'd always here on the news how some criminal activity was going down. It was like wretched hive of scum and villainy. Jessica hopped from roof top to roof top, making sure not to be seen by any one. It was mostly quiet. Which is really a good thing if you think about it. No crime? Awesome. Wait, what was that noise? Jessica peered down. No, Nock peered down. It would be time to start using that name.
  20. Power Level: 7 (105/106) Trade-Offs: -1 Defense for +1 Toughness Unspent PP: 1 Gold Status: 1/30 Alternate Identity: Jessica Storm Age: 25 (born June 1985; Apparent Age 25) Gender: Female Height: 5'5" Weight: 140 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: Blonde Description: Jessica is a lithe girl, toned by many years of physical activity. She has dusky skin and dark hair, reflecting her Korean-American heritage. History: Jessica Storm had the bad luck to be born into a family of film buffs. She grew up surrounded by cinema, but her favorites were always action movies: Indiana Jones, Die Hard, and most anything starring Errol Flynn. She especially loved his Robin Hood and watched it over and over again. The morals and ethics soaked into her skin over the years: the strong protect the weak, the few protect the many, and at the end of the day the good guy gets the girl. When she was twelve, Jessica took up archery and swordsmanship, in emulation of her hero. She worked hard at the disciplines, and though her natural talent tended towards the bow, by the time she graduated high school she'd won medals with both weapons. One night, while walking home from archery practice, she heard sounds of struggle coming from a dark alley. Investigating, she broke in on a mugging. The victim fled past Jessica to the streets and the criminals turned on her. The young woman didn't have her sword with her, so she retaliated with her bow, striking her assailants and driving them off. The incident got her thinking. She'd never really been enthusiastic about going to college and becoming a doctor or a banker, but she hadn't seen any other options. She shouldn't become a superhero; she couldn't fly, or bounce bullets off her chest, or throw fireballs. On the other hand, she had combat skills most novice superheroes only dreamed about, and medals to prove it. At the very least she could give it a try; it was bound to be more fun than schoolwork. Personality & Motivation: Knock is a sly type. She keeps her comments short and to the point. She always seems to have a know-it-all smile on her face. The truth is she's much less smug when you get to know her. She's in it for the respect and responsibility of human life. Powers & Tactics: Her bow is a specially made gift from her family. Her sword is a gift from her kenjutsu instructor. Her family heirloom is a ring she got on her sixteenth birthday. It is passed down from generation to gerenation, mother to firstborn daughter. It is purported to be "lucky". Nock's tactics are simple. Fire shots from cover. When up close, draw sword. In Brief: Nock is a normal girl with a lot of skill. Some say she is in over her head. Only time will tell. 22. Anya eyes glossed over and she looked down as she nodded her head wistfully. She had thought about her family. She really didn't want to put them in danger. They say you can never go home, this is one of those sayings that rang true. "Yeah," her voice cracked a bit as she looked up to him, she cleared her throat and spoke up, "Please, I don't want her to have bargaining chips. My family doesn't deserve to be dragged into this." She made a note to call them later. If there was a later. She just didn't want them dead. Sure they weren't the best at parenting, but they were hers. She felt overly possessive. Was that a vampire thing? Every feeling magnified? Or was it because Jack made her feel like she had a kindred spirit? She didn't know, but she felt like she had found the right man to help her.

  24. Anya had a smile of pleasure run across her face when she heard that they were going to find the woman who did this to her. It hid her doubt and worry. If she could do that to them, then what of her? What of Jack? The smile dropped when he asked about her personally. What could she tell him that wouldn't make him dump her like the trash she was in her former life. Then again, this could be one of those trust fall things. She looked into his eyes with a weak smile. How she could get lost in those inky black orbs. She cleared her voice and spoke forwardly, "Well, let's start with names first. My name is Anya. I was the unexpected surprise of two very powerful stockbrokers. Even though I was a mistake, they raised me with the best services money could buy. My life was humdrum. That was until I got to high school. I learned of the Rave. The Rave sucked me in and never spit me back out. The culture. The people. The music. The sex. The drugs. The dancing. It was raw primal energy and I loved every minute of it. The last six years of my life have been an ecstatic blur."
