  1. Sirius shrugs, “I did not think it would be that simple.†Than looking at Jos in a devilish manor, “I guess we shall be working together longer than we thought.†Sirius says with a faint smile.
  2. “Nothing of consequence, I just would have preferred a more subtle way of procuring the object, unfortunately unforeseeable events forced me to be a little more proactive in its acquisition.†Sirius says as the small silver ring fell into Jos’s hand. “She was quite clever actually, she had hidden in it a small vial of sedatives.†Sirius commented, looking around the room. “I wonder how many here are actually Irish?†Sirius commented, apparently having little interest in the finished job.
  3. Cool, I don't think Australia at least were I am atm has any Irish pubs lol... Anyway about the book, I'd put it at very hard to translate. Ancient Gaelic, Magically encrypted and an all round pain in the rear end (My general Idea was they can slowly decrypt the text which lead to secrets, and the unlocking of powers ext ext, which means in order to unlock power they need PP to spend on it :D
  4. Sirius looks around somewhat surprised oh how at home he felt; feeling sentimental was never one of Sirius’s strong points. Looking at Jos he nodded in greeting. Looking over to the waitress Sirius ends up ordering the chicken and chips, and an Irish brew. Looking over to Jos, “I can’t stand fish.†Sirius says, before pulling a small envelop out of his pocket. Once the waitress has left, Sirius hands the envelop to Jos, “There was a minor hiccup in the plan but otherwise it was successful.†Sirius says.
  5. stupid spell checker... thank you for that, yes I meant the chloroform not chlorophyll, I'll make the changers.

    The Ember Paw

I met with Jos again today. His proposition was fare enough, however he wanted me to ‘prove’ myself by steeling an antique ring. After staking out the librarian –The owner of the ring- I decided to simply mug her on her way to work one morning. For the most part it went well. Once I showed her some Foxfire she quickly fell submissive, and I was able to steel the ring and get away. Unfortunately the next day the local newspaper, had an article about my little exploit. If I’m lucky Jos won’t see it and won’t ask me about the ‘Burning hands’. In any case I am off to see him now and I’ll find out soon enough…
  7. Sorry for the delay, I was going to do it yesterday, but RL interrupted :|
  8. As Sirius sits in the back of the cab, he thinks quietly to himself. He had been over-playing his own abilities. While he could probably get the ring from this girl he didn’t know how. He couldn’t disable the security system, or pick the lock on the door. The dogs were also going to be a problem; ever since he was a child he’d had a fear of dogs that he couldn’t explain, probably something to do with the Foxfire. The Taxi pulled up at the library. Hopefully the target was still at work, and Sirius would be able to sum her up for himself. As Sirius entered the library he quickly looks around for the target. Spotting her in the distance with a load of books moving from shelf to shelf Sirius also spots the familiar glint of a ring. Moving to the opposed side of the isle to the target Sirius casually flicked through books, watching the ring between the gaps of the bookshelf. It was than Sirius had a plan; placing the book he was holding back on the shelf, marching out of the Library he looked around. Following the note he wanders down the street, following the directions of the signs until he came across the apartment building a few blocks away. Smiling Sirius flagged down a cab and headed home… Over the next few days Ember stalked the rooftops following the movements of the target. Learning her scent, learning the sound of her walk and most of all learning here routine… One morning the Sirius awoke, the sky was still dark, and not due to be up for several more hours. Getting out of bed Sirius bathed and cleaned, grabbing some eggs for breakfast. By the time the sky had a faint glow on the horizon Ember was leaping across rooftops, running at full speed until he came to his planed location. Like most librarians the target was no different, over the past few days Ember had observed her movement and her habit of going to work as the sun rose, and than leaving work after sun set. As Ember sat in the shadows his ears picked, noting every sound, his smell wrinkled as it sniffed the air currents. Holding back a sneeze Ember smiled at himself. While after dark gave Ember good cover it was too busy, but in the morning, most people were in bed, or to tired to notice small things. Now was the perfect time to nab the ring. As Ember went over his plans in his head, the familiar footfalls came into his hearing. A few moments later carried on a slight breeze Ember court the scent of her. A devilish grin crossed his face as he hid in the shadow. As the woman walked past the ally, back strait, not a hair out of place Ember pounced. Bounding out of the shadows a good twenty feet away Ember quickly rapt his arms around the shocked woman; a paw covering her mouth tightly to muffle any screams. Leaping again Ember dragged the woman with him back into the shadows of the ally. As the woman struggled Ember kept his grip, making sure the woman couldn’t move here head to get a look at him. “Quiet, Quiet.†Ember says as he moved a paw into here vision, It glowed with an inner fire. “We wouldn’t want any accidents now would we.†Ember hissed into here ears. The Woman fell limp at the sight of the glowing paw. Ember smiled at himself; that was one advantage of the Freedom city. You never know who could be a super villain. As the woman slouched in Embers arms, Embers paw quickly went to her ring finger. Slipping of the antique ring he quickly pocketed it. Smiling slightly as he got a small whiff of something inside the ring. Clever girl, she had placed chloroform in the ring. Thankfully Ember had taken her by surprise and hadn’t given here the chance to use it. With the ring in his pocket Ember cautiously let the woman go, Before she could do anything Ember bounded away down the ally and onto the roof, the most the poor librarian saw was the black tip of his tail as it went over the edge of the building… Sirius wandered down to the waiting cab, telling the driver wear to go, Sirius looked at the small envelope in his hands. Checking his watch Sirius frowned he was going to be a few minuets late to his meeting with Jos…
  9. Ok cool thanks. I'll right up his theft post and get it posted once it's done. Oh and Warmonger were not all demons here ,but I don't mind maybe you can kill off Jos so Sirius can inherit the antiques shop
  10. Sirius nods to Jos, “One week.†He says as he stands. Holding out his hands to shake, than whether or not Jos shook his hand or not, Sirius pull’s out his wallet and placers some money in the receipt book. “Good day.†Sirius says simply before turning and flagging down a cab…
  11. Ok cool. Did you want to finish up our current conversation before I place the heist post? Actually while I’m on, quick question, what are the rules on Power stunts? Are you limited in what you can do by the rank and points you have in the base power like normal APs?
  12. A one-post summary is fine. Once Sirius as Jos are done, I’ll post it up and we can skip to the next meeting if you like? -Don't you love comic book fast forwards too bad you can't do that with some things in RL -
  13. Sirius thinks for a second, “Fine, Shaughnesey’s, 6:00pm in one weeks time.†Taking the note Sirius flicks over what’s written, frowning when he reads about the two dogs, than he placed the note in his pocket. Pushing the rest of his mostly uneaten risotto aside, Sirius takes a drink. “Is there anything else you wish to discuses?†Sirius asks leaning back in his seat.
  14. Sirius sits thinking for a moment, only giving the waiter a nod as the food arrives. “Fine, I shall acquire the ring for you.†A faint smile on his lips, “what ever way I deem fit.†Taking a bite of his risotto he cringers slightly at the chicken but otherwise says nothing about it. “Give my the information, and I shall get you the item you seek. Once I have the item, let’s say one week from now we shall meet back here, and continue our little discussion.†Smiling as he takes another sip of his drink he continues. “Before you say anything the week is not negotiable, it is for security reasons, I will retrieve the item when I feel like it, and it makes it harder for you to know when I’m going to move on it.†Sirius says.
  15. Sirius looks directly into Jos eyes for a second before he too takes another sip. “Well than, by your own accusations, how am I to know that you are indeed the right person? You could be a cop and your test a sting… What is the world Entrapment?†Sirius says, taking another sip. “But than again you could also just be some loon on the street who saw my book the other night and thought he could steel it from me.†Pausing for a second and looking Jos straight in the eyes “Which I might at is quite impossible.â€Â
  16. “Now, now, now.†Sirius says shaking his head. "You should know that anemometry is vital for this business. If I were to go bragging about my training, and my accomplishments to every person I meet, than I would quickly find myself unemployed.†Sirius says, taking a sip from his drink. “Of cores perhaps after sometime and we get to know each other, I may be obliged to inform you of some of my past contacts, but until that time I am not at liberty to say.†Pausing for a second, “Let us just say I worked mostly in Europe.â€Â
  17. “Fine, fine.†Sirius says Truth be told, he didn’t really care about the money, just the chance to be near artifacts was enough, but it would help pay the rent. Looking over the menu Sirius ends up ordering a chicken risotto, and a soft drink. Sirius waves his hand, “Oh it’s nothing, let’s just say before I left Ireland I had some special training in the acquisition of…†Pausing for a second. “Hard to get items.â€Â
  18. Sirius nods as Jos talks. “That would be acceptable, you may even find I have other talents that could be of use.†Sirius say’s somewhat cryptically as he picks the journal up and hides’s it away again. “I assume the position comes with a paycheck as well.†Sirius says, a faint smile on his lips. ‘If I can get a job with this guy, who knows were it may lead, having some money will help, but learning more about the journal will be far more beneficial, and who knows maybe this guy may actually get in some artifacts of interest that will help increase my power…’
  19. go ahead we can open it up again if Jos or Sirius head back there again :)
  20. Sirius watchers Jos carefully, “It’s a long story, but in short it sort of fell into my hands one evening.†Stopping for a second he looks around. Picking up a knife from the table Sirius suddenly slams it down on the book while Jos was looking at it. A sudden flash of light flared from impact dazing Jos for a second, When his vision cleared the book was perfectly unharmed, the knife was no ware to be seen and Sirius seemed to be nursing a slightly redden hand. “As you can see it is also impossible to destroy, or damage.†Looking at his hand he flexes it a little bit and the color seems to die down. “It destroyed the knife if you were wondering, and because the damage wasn’t that bad my hand only got a little cooked. I would however suggest not to attempted to damage the book my more extreme means, the last person to attempted to destroy the book was incinerated.†Sirius says casually as if he were discussing the weather.
  21. Sirius looks at Jos oddly for a moment, as if trying to sum him up. “It’s a journal, a very old journal.†Sirius pauses for a second, as if contemplating something. Than he reaches into his pocket and pull’s out a plain leather bound book. In the daylight it didn’t have the same glow as the first time. Holding the journal for a second as if reluctant to show Jos, Sirius eventually handed him the journal, on the front color a strange emblem seemed to glow with an inner fire. A Fox stood in the middle of a burning upside-down triangle; flames flowed from the two side edges flowing around until the tips of the flames almost met above the top of the triangle. Insides the words glowed as the cover did, each page Jos flicked through always produced more and more pagers, eventfully the righting on the pagers turn into modern Irish and than nothing but blank pagers flowed, on and on in a seemingly never ending supply.
  22. Sirius stands up and greets Jos. “No, no that’s fine, I only just got here myself, I haven’t even got myself a drink yet.†Sirius say’s sitting down again. Reaching into a pocket he pulls out a few photos and hands them to Jos. “Best I can do.†Sirius says. The photos are good, however there’s something wrong with them, It takes Jos a few seconds to realize that the photo itself is blank but there seem to be words burnt into the photo paper. “It appears the object does not like being copied. Those are the best, and most readable of the photos.â€Â

    The Ember Paw

I went out tonight as Foxfire following a strange buzzing sound in my head. A few miles of the coast of Freedom City I came across an abandoned oilrig. As I boarded the so-called abandoned rig, a mysterious man, warring ancient druidic robes, confronted me. He told be his name was Legend and that this rig was some form of Villainous safe haven, battle ring, meeting place of sorts. I entered the where I was confronted by a demon. Thankfully though another person, Icarus I believe interrupted us, before the demon decided to tear me limb from limb. Unfortunately the demon made some comment about meeting me again; to be honest I hope I never meet him again. As I told Icarus it’s going to take me a month to get his smell out of my nose. While I would have liked to stay longer, but I decided I had to go, I have a meeting this afternoon with Jos for a possible job as well as help translating the first logs in this journal. We will see how it turn’s out.
  24. Ember jumped from one rooftop to another until he finally landed on his apartment’s balcony. Quietly he slipped into the apartment, and than like all the other time’s pain ripped through him. His bones cracked and twisted, the world around him became dull, and his fur fell away, each hair bursting into flames before it touched to ground. Pulling the small journal out of his pant’s pocket he grabbed to small instant print camera he had grabbed on his way back home. Taking a picture of one of the earliest pagers in the book, Sirius placed the journal next to his bed with the photograph. Setting his alarm clock Sirius fell onto his bed and fell asleep… The Next day, Sirius awoke at the irritating sound of his alarm clock. Getting up from bed Sirius checked the time, and quickly got ready. Grabbing the journal as well as the photograph, Sirius headed for the door. He was a particularly intrigued to see how this meeting would end up today. At worst nothing happened. At best he’ll find himself a job and if it turned out really well, a way to translate the ancient text of the journal. Waving down a taxi Sirius’s mind was a mile away as he told the driver were to take him. Finally he would have answers, Finally he would unlock the beast that lay within him, Finally he would have power…
