It took Lucy a minute to realize that they were, in fact, back in the church. For a moment, she was overcome relief. "Thank you!" she exclaimed, hugging Agnes' neck tightly. The gratitude and relief were genuine. But then very quickly, Lucy's more typical nature asserted itself. She pushed Agnes away, clamored up off the floor, and wanting nothing more than to get away from that strange girl and this strange place, took off running for the stairs. She stripped off Agnes' sweatshirt and tossed it away as she ran. It didn't matter to her how tattered her dress, she wanted to be done with this horrible day and all of its trappings.
