Every time was the same. Dale wondered now why he ever thought it was going to be different. He stood solemnly next to his sister, and stared up at their shared father. All he wanted... all he ever wanted was this man - his father - to... not even much, just... just look at him, but he couldn't even... he wouldn't ever...
After a few moments, Dale turned away. He took one last look as his sister before melting through space and disappearing from the room.

"I debuted in February of 1940...Though I have been inactive until recently."
"1940, eh?" Cadence nods thoughtfully, smiling wryly to herself.
"Was your sister interested in superheroes?""Interested?" Cadence chuckles a little. "Interested isn't a strong enough word. Superheroes were her life, really. They meant a lot to her." She takes a few moments for introspection, "I don't know. She was looking after us girls a lot, so maybe she liked the idea of someone looking after her, you know?" She sips her tea. "So why do you do it? The superhero thing?"

A voice echoes through Rose's head. A boy? Someone young. She can't place it. She feels terrible. She feels like throwing up, but she doesn't really have a stomach. She realises where she is. Realises that she is in danger, but can't think of anything but the incredible pain. She just drifts, struggling against her own nausea.

The woman doesn't say anything as Captain Wonder talks, even when he brings up her sisters death, she just keeps on making her tea. When she finishes, she turns and gives the superhero his mug "Here you go." She sits across from Captain Wonder, "My name's Cadence." There is a pause as Cadence considers, "So how long you been doing the superhero thing? You have an air of the 'old hat' about you." She sips her tea, her eyes examining the caped man.

Would it be possible for me to spend a hero point here for dramatic editing? Now would be a great time for the attack to start, and I'd be willing to spend the hero point to have it happen now.
