  1. I don't mind, but I would like to know a little about your character before we start. I can't find the write-up on the character board.

  4. Minor detail: You've listed your mental ability scores as 00 rather than 10.

  7. I think the Refs have enough threads to deal with that this one can slide without their help. That said, if one of you feels like throwing in a random villain to beat down I have no objection. It's just not required.

  10. OOC: My character Cold Blood operates in two worlds: the money world, and her "hunting". I've joined the Midnight Club thread for the former, but I decided to start my own thread for the latter. Feel free to join (misunderstandings with heroes, villains looking to take on a FC legend, etc.). This thread doesn't have any sort of plot, I'm just going to beat up some thugs and gang-bangers to establish my "rep".

  13. There was a tinge of winter in the air that night a figure in a hooded raincoat walked down the dismal street of shops. It paused in front of the electronics store, watching the TV displayed inside. It was showing the evening news, and they seemed to be doing a special on the legendary "Cold Blood Killer", a superhero (or vigilante, depending upon how one viewed his intimidating and rather violent (yet non-lethal) methods) who legends say had been operating in the Freedom area since the early 1800s, though records were spotty on the matter. There was a short timeline done on the legend as it grew through the years, the segment ending with an interview with a few of the people who'd seen Cold Blood the last time he'd appeared about 10 years ago. A local man walked up beside the stranger as the latter was watching the segment. Perhaps in an effort to be friendly the newcomer said "Don't listen to that junk. It's just another urban legend. No one's ever actually gotten any proof that this 'Cold Blood' guy exists." "Hmm," the stranger replied. "I bet all those 'eyewitnesses' are really just crazies who want 15â€â€" At that moment the show was displaying a sketch of the most commonly reported appearance of Cold Blood: a hooded raincoat, a black rubber mask that covered the face below the eyes, and dark goggles. The stranger turn his face toward the newcomer, and revealed exactly what was being shown on TV. The newcomer back up for a moment, but regained his composure quickly. "Jesus, don't scare people like that. Let me guess, you're some Cold Blood fan. Or is this some Halloween costume you're wearing late?" The stranger shrugged. Then he looked up toward the edge of the store's roof and vanished in a cloud of mist, visible for a moment at the edge before vanishing across the top of the city. When the shop owner closed a few minutes later he found a man standing almost motionless outside, staring up at the edge of the roof. "Something wrong?" the owner asked. "Iâ€â€Iâ€â€Iâ€â€I SAW HIM!" "Who?" "COLD BLOOD! He's back." ************************************ Cold Blood smiled to herself as she teleported from roof-top to roof-top, scanning the alleys below for signs of trouble. Scaring bystanders was rapidly becoming thee best part of the hunt.

  16. Amelia finally slammed down her tenth mug of beer, already getting some stares from the assembled snobs. She figured 10 was enough to get a good amount of liquid inside her. It was really the heights that this place had to get dry in addition to getting cold. Sliding off her seat she twisted her body until she heard all the right cracks. She used the moment to evaluate the talking groups, attempting to figure out which one held the most important people to build a relationship with. She often wondered why she bothered with this charade when she only came to this dimension for the hunting, but perhaps she enjoyed silently laughing in the faces of those who thought themselves important just because they had "things".
