  1. alright, I looked over your character and your math adds up except that by my count you should be getting 8 points instead of 7 for your weakness to those crystals because it does drain your constitution along with all your other ability scores correct? Other than that I had a few questions about the character, notably where he stays when he isn't out adventuring and how long has he been in Freedom City. I ask because the embassy you stay at could be a handy headquarters if you wanted to adjust some of your points around and I'd like to get a bit more detail about how The Emissary has acclimated to life in Freedom City to gauge the handle you have on your characters personality. Hope I'm not being too invasive, constructive criticism is welcome seeing as you're my first victim.

  4. well keeping track is easy enough for me to do. The way I figure I'm gonna work the character sheets is that once I've approved one for play I'll post it in a separate sub forum (one for heroes and one for villains). When a ref decides to award pp to players just pm me the name of the character and how many pp awarded and I'll update their character sheet. then when the player wants to use them they can pm me and I'll update their character sheet again. This way we don't have to worry about discrepancies....or at least fewer of them.

  9. essentially yes anything goes, if I get 20 players all wanting to play the only surviving son of a doomed planet who fell to Earth 16 to 20 years ago however I'm gonna stop approving them. Its no fun if we're all the same anything after all.

  14. I hear and am thankful for a second opinion about how to do this kind of thing. but yeah I know what you mean, when I was approving characters for Macross I got butt tonnes of amnesiatic orphans who all wanted to be the best pilot in the fleet drove a motorcycle and carried a katana...oh and were scarred across the eye or the nose or both. As far as twinking out characters goes I'm more than willing to send someone back a message basically saying 'your character build is twinked, I know it is and so do you and it won't be fun for other players if I let you in as you are so rework it and send it back to me.' Also as a general rule I tend to disallow someone having more ranks in attack focus or specialization than they have in base attack. and I'd be willing to say the same thing for base defense and dodge focus. The second pair of eyes thing is a great idea too...wanna come help?

  19. technically once we get this game up and running you don't even need to find another player who's playing a villain if you wanna play your character just play your character. Which actually speaking on that topic I think the ref's might want a few city events that they control...like large scale doomsday device type things. The main villain would be an npc and he could recruit from the ranks of player villains in the game and of course it would be up to the player heroes to stop it and all. that kind of thing from time to time I think might spice up the city, especially when we're just getting started and don't have many players...

  24. thanks, I took a bit of inspiration from Road House for the first one. I figure we should maybe have a few basic rules for ref's too mostly consisting of: be fair, be polite, and be nice. but I don't see it being much of an issue.
