  1. Neospell's mouth stood agape as a freaking bipedal cheetah suddenly showed up out of nowhere (not that you could tell under his mask anyways). The cheetah barked out a warning, causing the fight to pause briefly before one of those cat-gangsters went right back to trying to tear his prey up. Neospell fumbled a bit as he took aim and fired, the bolt of magical energy going wide over the target's shoulders and knocking a few bricks loose on the building on the other side of the street.

     

    Neospell also repositions himself so that that guy with the SMG will stop shooting at him even though there's more obvious targets that are tearing up his friends just down the street.

    No Electronics for You: Due to her lightning powers, any Equipment level electronics she comes in contact with is instantly shorted out. This means she can use Cellphones, Commlinks, Computers, etc.
     
    Riding the Lightning: When using Ride the Lighting Inazuma cannot teleport through any materials that can't be broken easily (such as weak glass) or meshes made of metal (such as chain link fences and especially Faraday Cages). Also, in order to use Long-Range teleportation without a clear, unobstructed, view of the sky because to long range teleport she turns into lightning and sends herself into the sky, coming down at her destination as a lightning bolt.

     

    Yokai Physiology: While she is Immune to Disease that only applies to Diseases that affect humans and mortal creatures she is not immune to any Disease-type Effects that are Supernatural,Magical in origin.

    Her apparent physical age also is going to change very, very, slowly (she won't look 17 for at least another 50 years) though she'll never look older than she would in her mid-twenties.

    She's also just plain not human anymore so she may be targeted unfairly by demon hunters and the like.

  3. Neospell side stepped out of the way of the incoming fire, "What hey! Don't shoot at me shoot at them!" He takes a moment to point at the cat thug he shot with his left land before putting it back on the barrel and firing another bolt of energy that hits it's mark this time. The bolt scores a solid hit in the chest and makes a small explosion that feels like he's been punched in the gut, hard. The guy looks like he's one more solid blow from being KO'd.
     
    Neospell then takes a moment to assess the situation mentally. Okay, seems like it's a free for all here. Both sides are shooting at the cat men, and probably will start shooting each other, or more likely me when they're taken out. I think I can call the cops after I'm done here and they'll lock all of the sides up, but maybe I'll let them go and just say they were defending themselves? I have no idea what to do here, but... taking all of them off the streets seems like the best idea actually.

  4. Neospell wasted no time in running out of the alleyway as he called up his MagiBlaster. He fired a bolt of magical energy at the first cat-like person he saw, unfortunately the shot whizzed right by his target's head and hit an abandoned building behind the fighting, exploding in a small blast of magical energy.
     
    He became a little unsure when he saw the other two cat-like figures, but Superheros don't back down do they. Besides the words were already coming out of his mouth, "Hey tabby! Why don't you go and pick on someone you're own size!" Wait what, that doesn't make sense he's definitely bigger than me and there's more of them! Lets see if I'm in over my head with this Superheroing thing!

  6. Neospell blinked, a bit surprised, ...Magic? What's magic doing here? Totally not what I was expecting, but I'll check it out. Probably some cultists or something. He stretches out his back as his sunglasses show a trail of magical energy, he starts off following the trail by walking at a brisk pace but breaks into a sprint as whoever's making the trail seems to be going really, even superhumanly, fast. Maybe they have some kind of magical speed booster? Or maybe they're just trafficking magical stuff and are hooked up on that "Boost" drug or whatever it was. He skids a tiny bit as he turns the corner and heads right, the soles of his boots pounding the pavement.

  7. Neospell is taking 10 for a total of 20 on a Notice check for bad guys in the alleyways on both sides of the street. Neospell is on the right side so apply whatever distance modifiers for checking out the alleyway on the left side of the street.

  8. Curti- Neospell had just gotten his apartment set up in Hanover this morning, in his secret identity of course, and was out for a stroll in his brilliant white costume looking for some trouble to quell, crime to bust, robbers to stop, etc, etc....

     

    When he had first come into Freedom City on an airplane, for the first time in his life actually, it had of course awed him a fair amount.

    He had already picked out his apartment though and had already sent most of his machines and furniture to it a couple days back when he had come into the city. His things should be arriving either tomorrow or the next day. The apartment was nice enough and there was just enough room for his workshop and the 3D printer with a bit left to spare, he was already planning to fill it in with a small couch that was just big enough to sleep on and perhaps a TV.

     

    Not to mention he had a job interview lined up at ArcheTech which was only a few blocks from his apartment. So far the day had gone just as planned but...

     

    Tonight so far nothing had happened, much to his dismay.

     

    The dark streets weren't bothering him as much as they could have been due to the Darkvision enchantment he had put on his sunglasses though, he was just mostly bored. He quickly checked the pair of alleyways on either side of the street for trouble as he sighed. His "debut" was being quite boring so far.

  9. I sort of want a GM because I don't know the setting very well and I haven't GM'd before in my life.

     

    I think I'll go with... either a bank robbery or a drug deal. And the meet and greet idea sounds great as well.

    Now I just need to have him Debut in Freedom City.

     

    So I'm thinking he decides that he'll walk around a dangerous looking part of town in costume and wing it from there.

    Talked about this in the chat and I'd like him to go hang around Southside to look for some trouble.

    Curtis is a slightly tall lanky young adult with brown hair and brown eyes. When not in costume he wears a green polo shirt, blue jeans, and black leather jacket. He wears a watch with a light blue face and a belt which are both Devices.
    When he activates his belt he is covered in head to toe in white body armor with a few pieces of heavy armor on his forearms, shoulders and legs. Over all this rests a long white cloak. His watch transforms into a bracer which lets him summon various weapons.
    In or out of costume he always wears a pair of sunglasses which are another Device. He can activate his watch and belt separately.

    Power Descriptions: His powers look a lot like they might be some kind of super science, but they're actually all products of magic.
    It's just that that's he decides to implement his magical talents since it's what comes naturally to him since he's a Programmer.
    First he writes the code for his spells on his computer, then he feeds that code to a specially made compiler program that translates it to arcane runes. After double checking the runes and touching them up in a vector image editing program he prints the runes out using a printer he's jury-rigged to use magical ink onto specially prepared paper.
     
    Bracer of Weaponry: This bracer has a touch screen on it which lets Neospell create various weapons to do battle with.

    MagiBlaster: This weapon takes the form of a futuristic rifle that shoots large bolts of magical energy.

    MagiGuns: This weapon takes the form of two futuristic pistols that can fire barrages of magical bolts of energy than they look like they should be able to.

    MagiBlade: This weapon is perhaps the most simple looking, it takes the form of a long armblade comprised of magical energy that extends the harder you swing it.

    MagiStunner: This weapon takes the form of what looks to be a rayguy, it fires crackling bolts of magical energy.

     
    Belt of MagiArmor: This belt looks like a regular belt when inactive, when active it transforms into a futuristic looking belt and creates his armor.
     
    Sunglasses of Epicvision: These sunglasses look just like a normal pair of sunglasses, if you look closely at the lenses you can kind of see runes written around their edges.

    History: Curtis was just your average "smarter than normal" guy, he did well in school without really trying and soon grew bored with it, though because he never really applied himself in school he never really shined above his peers much. Life went on like this for him as long as he could remember until one day in College when he received a call that his grandfather had died. He attended the funeral mostly because he his parents wanted him too and was surprised as anyone else when he was given a mysterious package in his grandfather's will with instructions that he would be the only one to open the chest and that what was inside what to be kept a secret to the rest of his family.
    Later that night he opened the package and found another letter addressed to him sitting on what appeared to be a very old book. The letter spoke of how his grandfather was leaving his life's work to Curtis and that he should learn all he can from it. The book turned out to be a very old spellbook written in Latin with another letter from his grandfather inside the front cover explaining how to use the book. There were also many, many, notes tucked inside the pages.
    Over the next couple of months he obsessively deciphered the spells inside the book with help from his grandfather's notes, but soon grew tired of drawing all the magical runes and words by hand. So he copied all of the runes to his computer and modified his printer to use the special kind of ink required for the spells to work.
    Soon he understood the spellbook and how the runes inside worked (except a few really tough ones in the back) well enough to create a program that would arrange the runes for him based on lines of code in a common programming language and celebrated when he was successful in getting a spell to create a visual illusion that displayed "Hello World!" in mid air.
    From there his progress took off and soon he could code spells to do all manner of things for him, including making him into a Superhero...

    He's careful not to let his program fall into the wrong hands which is why he maintains a Secret Identity.

    Personality & Motivation: He's a bit cocky, sure that there's not a problem in the world he couldn't solve. He's got a kind and charitable at heart, though he doesn't go out of his way to help people he doesn't think he can help.
    He's always felt like he should give something more to society and now he can as a Superhero (not to mention that he's always secretly wanted to be a Superhero).

    He's some what of a fan of Anti-Nihilism, but doesn't actually put the ideas into practice other than seeing no point to thinking negatively. 

    When "on duty" he does his best to act like a Hero should, by rushing head first into danger.

    Powers & Tactics: He hasn't been a Superhero long enough to get some solid tactics down, so he charges in recklessly MagiGuns blazing most of the time.

    Curtis doesn't want his identity to be public as he fears that the negatives (villains knowing where you live and who your family are, the public being able to target you and your family directly, etc) far outweigh the positives. He's sure he doesn't need to make his Identity public, at least not in the immediate future.
