  2. Gaian Knight

"Well, it could sure be less under control," replied Tarrant; he'd spread his feet a bit and cocked his head to the side, gaze - even hidden behind his goggles - vacant the way it only ever was when he'd shifted his attention away from his eyes and toward the feel of things. He never liked picking up vibration through the kinds of things they built starships from - too clear and too loud all at once.

He drew both arms back, and that was all the warning their opponents got. As he drew them forward again, dragging his fingers against some invisible weight, the stone littering the battlefield dissolved into sand and surged upward against anything hostile that happened to be nearby - whereupon he closed both his hands and it hardened again into something too tough to be sandstone and too actively-constricting to be stone at all. Effective, if not trivial - his eyes were glowing through his goggles now, and little bits of spare rock had started to orbit him like moons. "Hang in there, and let me know if you spot anybody who needs a bunker."

  3. What's the fun of a big array if you never stunt anything? I'll extra effort stunt a power (and immediately spend a hero point to waive the fatigue):

Snare 15 (Extras: Area [General, Burst], Constricting, Selective; Flaws: Action [Full], Distracting, Range [Touch]; Feats: Indirect 2, Obscure Senses 1 [Vision], Progression 6 [500' per rank area], Reversible) [40/40]

Assuming I've done my math right, that's a Snare attack that'll hit every enemy within 7500 feet of GK - though it's the GM's call whether he can exercise Selective on targets he can't see or tremmorsense (and he'll err toward not risking hitting allies!).

DC25 Reflex save for half, DC25/DC17 Reflex save (staged) vs. entangled or bound.

Bound targets also get to enjoy a free DC22 Toughness save vs. non-lethal Damage each round they remain bound.

GK's flat-footed until his next turn, so let's hope either the snare hits hard or his toughness save keeps him on his feet!

    Rev

    Double-check the Saving Throws:

    * Looks like Rev landed just under combat caps - you list Protection 8 up in the Saving Throws, but only Protection 7 down in the Powers.

    * You've also shorted yourself a little on the Reflex save, which lists +3 Dex instead of +4.

    * Saving throw point tally doesn't match the points invested in the saves themselves.

If you had your heart set on some other feats in the Cutter attack, you only need to buy a Feat once for a linked power - it applies to all applicable powers in the linked set. No harm in listing them anyway though if the power would just be under-budget.

The Ignite power would be 30PP, not 24PP, though this is still within the array budget.

You've shorted yourself 1PP on the Powers section - I sum it up at 95PP total, rather than 96PP.

  4. Eclipse

Talisyn had some choice words when she watched two of the guards go down - not kind words, but choice words. More than a few of them.

She broke cover, cloak and hair alike billowing as she shot toward the troopers with only her own (admittedly boosted) speed and reaction time to save her from any return fire. Which, if that wasn't enough, she could hopefully heal back from. "I'm going to be so hungry after this," she muttered, snapping off a bolt of energy at one of the troopers to get their attention - and then louder, "You've learned spacing! Let's teach you to aim!"

  5. Well, Eclipse could try to AoE but she does not like those troopers shooting at the guards, so! Time to be a threatening target.

She's going to break cover and close toward the troopers. She'll take 10 on a shot at one of the ones shooting at guards, with a full power attack - that's an 18 attack 'roll', DC27 Toughness for the trooper.

  6. Base Sheet

Rex's Atom Academy Technology device is under-budget - you have 35DP available and you've spent 31DP of it. That's fine - you're an experienced player, you know what you're doing! - but I'm obligated to at least mention it.

Incredibly minor, since it's still well within budget, but for future accounting and edits the Area Damage attack costs 22/28PP, rather than the listed 21/28PP.

    Tiny Rex

Double-check the math on the Atom Academy Technology device; your tally line says you paid 8pp for it, which would be Device 2 instead of Device 7, but that would still leave you over-budget (11/10DP spent).

Tiny Rex's suit is 1DP under-budget, which is fine but again, have to point it out just in case.

    Big Rex

Improved Critical is bought on attacks, not ability scores - what attack is getting the bonus here? Keep in mind that it's a specific attack, so it could be 'unarmed' but not 'melee'.

  7. Gaian Knight

Tarrant wasn't not concerned by the plasma blade rapidly coming his way, but far better him than someone else. Had he been hit by a plasma blade before? Surely he had been. He was still alive, it was probably fine.

Less fine was the overall chaos of the battlefield. One stray shot in the wrong direction.... "Your ship's about to lose power!" he announced, raising an open hand; his alien-consuming serpent seized in place, dissolving into a long and twisting cloud of rock that hung over the heads of their enemies. "You're losing this fight, and Dovox is facing worse than us down on the surface. Stand down," he said - the hand clenched into a fist and the fist came down like a hammer, as did countless stones - "while you still have a vessel left to leave in."

  8. Still plenty of enemies up, looks like, so GK's going to AoE again.

Blast 15 (Extras: Area [General, Shapeable]; Flaws: Action [Full]; Feats: Indirect 3, Progression [Area] 5 [15 to 750 5ft cubes], Variable Descriptor [bludgeoning, piercing, slashing]) [39/40pp]

Priority on the tougher targets - but he'll take what he can get.

  9. Daphne

Very minor notation thing: You've bought (and paid for) Language 3, but you've listed Language 1.

You've over-charged yourself on the Power of the Mind array - the dynamic tax would cost you 3pp total (1pp to make the base power dynamic, 2pp for a dynamic alt) rather than 4pp.

Really, my only concern is that she's pretty badly under-capped defensively (effective PL 4.5); you're an experienced player and I'm willing to approve anyway since you know what you're doing, but I'd be remiss not to mention it.

    Mother Unit

    The Abilities section has gone a little sideways I think - I tally this as [-10 + -10 + -10 + 24 + 4 + 6 = 4PP], which also leaves you some free points to spend.

Mother Unit has 37R of skills against the purchased 36R, but I suspect that's just a typo in the Notice: it's at least calculated as Notice 8, rather than Notice 9.

You've bought Comprehend 6 here, rather than Comprehend 3, though the cost is right.

  10. Eclipse

Rock's captain gave a low whistle, shading her eyes with one hand as she watched the Justicar do his best impression of a bird. She sometimes missed her original eyes, but not moments like this where she could zoom in. "Nice throw," she said, rapping an appreciative set of knuckles against Rock's shoulder as they split back up.

With nobody immediately firing at her - and nobody to fire back upon - she broke into a light jog, setting herself back toward the plaza and the ambassador and the guards...and, ideally, a little cover before all those troopers caught up with her. "Should've asked Nae-Dae if I could borrow her rocket launcher," she said to nobody in particular, fiddling with her blaster. "I don't think she'd have let me, but I really could've asked."

  11. Eclipse will just head on back toward the guards - she'll try to find some cover in or near the plaza, double-moving if needed. If the double-move isn't required, she'll ready an action to fire at any troopers who come out shooting.

  12. Just a minor notation thing - on the attack line, it'd be "+8 Melee (+4 Base, +4 Attack Focus [Melee])". You've also bought 12PP of Combat stuff, but listed it as 20PP.

  13. Ah, I see you woke up and chose violence.

Looks broadly good, just a bunch of the mathmathmathmath stuff that creeps into every sheet and gets amplified by one as modular as this:

    You've bought 30PP of Abilities, rather than 28, so you're slightly over-budget.

You've shorted yourself on Initiative and Reflex/Will saves - they're calculated off of +2 Dex and +2 Wis rather than +4 and +3 respectively. You've also bought 6PP of Will save but only paid for 5PP, so that at least may be easy to balance back out.

You've bought 12PP of base Defense, but the Combat line says you've only bought 8PP. The final tally line looks to be correct, though, so this is probably a notation thing rather than a budget thing.

The powerhouse form's Attack Focus (Melee) would boost it to +7, not +8 - which is good, because +8 would break combat caps!

  14. Gaian Knight

The Gaian Knight slid back a solid foot, but otherwise looked more disappointed than hurt - he looked, really, like the immediate resort to violence hurt more than taking a mech-scaled blast to the chest did. "Someday," he complained, "we're going to show up and meet someone who wants to have a nice calm chat over tea."

Not that it didn't hurt, but he was made of metaphorical stone, not metaphorical iron. He'd had worse.

"But alright," he said, sweeping his arms out. "School of hard knocks it is." His little shard of marble grew and grew and grew, shattering and multiplying into a great loosely-organized serpent that crashed and thrashed its way across the battlefield, stone-fanged maw howling silent defiance.
