  1. Yuki stuck to the shadows on the ceiling, Doing her best to stay away from wandering eyes. "Seriously, haven't you caused enough trouble for one day?" She knew the swords guy wasn't going to back down, but blah. "...I should warn you, you may carry a large sword... but I know Kung fu, Jujitsu, and hundreds more dangerous sounding words. Don't test me."

Weird... just weird, yet who was Yuki to judge weird? "So... I have the signature, if you'll excuse me." Yuki tried to slip away, but there was too many people now. Nuts.
  3. I apologoze for the lack of participation in this, the thread I created. At the end of this posting, I'm bumping the thread back up with a post, but I'm formally appologizing here.
  4. Players Name: Josh Power Level: 6 (90 pp) Trade-Offs: +2 Save DC/ -2 Attack Bonus Unspent PP: +2 Toughness/ -2 Defense Bonus Characters Name: Kenneth is still searching for the 'perfect' one. As such he is constantly changing it. Alternate Identity: Kenneth Baxter Height: 5'7" Weight: 167 lbs Hair: Blond Eyes: Silver Description: Kenneth is an odd build. African American who has Blond hair and silver eyes, two traits not often found with most African Americans as far as racial traits go. Many feel that this is due to his meta-human abilities. Further more, when he uses he pushes his body, his muscles grow twice the size, making his teenage body look adult like. History: The average brain, meta-human or not, only use just 10 percent of its potential. Kenneth Baxter was gifted with the ability to use over 90 percent of his. Allowing him to be closer to full potential then ANY human before him, Meta or not. At least, that what he thinks, anyway. Kenneth, thanks to his advanced intelligence, was aware of his abilities at a young age. He learned information at a near insane rate, ultimately culminating with the ability to construct complex devices at the age of 8. Yet, despite all this gift, he was born on the wrong side of Freedom City... the Southside. A prodigy such as himself was the child of a prostitute and a customer, only to be left at the doorstep of an orphanage that was crumbling and in ill repair. His skills were blight, rather than a gift. He was neglected within and without. Despised for being different, most jealous cause of his intelligence. This built a deep, linguing hatred towards those he felt were below him. If they hated him for being better, that was 'there' fault, not his. As he came of age, he began shattering traditional school education, even after skipping him several grades. At this point, after all the ridicule, he pretty much didn't give two wags of a dog's tail what people felt of him. He used his enhanced intelligence publicly, using it to keep space between himself and the 'normies'. Near the end of his time in public school, he even developed a poratble Tesla Generator for his science fair project. It was here that he was introduced the Claremont Academy, As his science project (which stumped many reknowned scientists, was brought to the attention of Duncan Summers. However, this change of scenery came a good few years too late, as Ken became very unsociable. He refused to listen to authority, refused to show restraint, and absolutely showed no leniency towards human life. Even scarier was the fact that he began learning how to inspire others, leading to him instilling the same anti-human dogma that he too began to embrace. After all, was he not evolved beyond them? They should be bowing to his genius. It all came to a head during a Science Display. Naturally, Ken was improving on his portable Tesla Generator (succeeding in miniturizing it). A human female teenager bumped into the table of his exhibit, spilling water onto his generator and causing a massive short-circuit. The resulting explosion scarred his face, which caused the teen to go off the deep end. Blaming the girl for doing it on purpose, Ken went after her, forcing various teachers to restrain him. His ranting deeply disturbed Summers as he met with the Academy counselors on what should be done with him. The result of the conference never reached Kenneth's ears. Kenneth... disappeared without a trace from his dorm room, his schemetics on his tesla device disapearing with him. As of now, no one knows where... Personality & Motivation: Kenneth biggest and most noticeable trait is his arrogance and ego. While many will see it as justified based on how he was raised, it's still demeaning and very disrespectful towards those who don't know him, and rarely does he spread his life story around. This is made most noticeable by his gestures. He is always flipping or spinning some sort of coin and he refuses to give eye contact to those he fit as unworthy (All humans, and some Meta's that look down on him). Ken has become a person who operates like a poker/chess player. He often plans two, three, or even ten moves ahead. Thus, He is quite skilled at being at the right place, at the right time, striking just as someone is vulnerable. Ken, like any teenager, is someone who is more motivated by emotion more then logic and practicality. Thus, his hatred for humans and his disliking of being ruled by leaders 'dumber' then him aggravates him. Thus he aspires to take over the food chain... and who is better a better candidate then him? Complications: Hatred (Towards humans): Kenneth has been known to be excessively brutal to humans. The only reason he doesn't kill is because he's smart enough to know that there are worse fates then death. Prejudice (Those 'dumber' then him): Kenneth has to be the leader of any group he's in, especially if he sees the potential that he can do a better job then the current moron... erh... 'leader'. 5. Okay me and a few others are aiming to bring together some lowlevel villians under the flag of the Shadow Academy (Most Wanted source book). The question I have is in the use of The Headmistress. Is it okay if she was used as an npc in certain threads?
  6. "Let's roll? Geez man, why not just say 'Avengers Assemble'? And people call me corny!" Yuki swung, not roll, after the man. She was still concerned with the rioters, but as Avenger said, the main riot stirrer also went inside. She takes him down, this may end. Maybe. Hopefully. "Go for the basement. I'll handle Mr. Swordsman. He probably don't even have a license for that sword."
  7. Yuki was in a bind here. This wasn't going to be the traditional 'pound the bad man to oblivion', or her favorite type 'dodge around till everyone is tired THEN pound the bad man into oblivion'. No she had dozens of people here to deal with. The only thing she accomplished, was that the motormouth wouldn't stir up the hornet's nest any worse. Great... hear I am without a follow up plan. When will I learn to look before I lea... Her head buzzed, and for a second, directing her in the direction of the woman dropping on the glass. It was when she saw that this woman was about to be attacked that Yuki dropped everything, leaping off the wall and spraying a huge net of webbing at the men. "Get out of here lady! They'll tear you apart!"
  8. Just a heads up here. The snare is meant to shut Ned up. It's not the usual entangle, just the traditional 'Web Glob to the mouth'.
  9. I see... that man speaks, the crowd gets stirred. Time to teach him the way of edicate... Yuki shot a webline and swung up and around the lamppost. Once... twice... As she swung around the third time, she realeased the webline so that the momentum swung her lithe body up and over the crowd, landing/attaching to the side of the building in front of the man with the giant sword... Uhhhhh... bad image, bad bad bad.... "Excuse me... I'm usually not the one to sneeze at the freedom of speech..." She had to hold back a laugh. "...but all that shouting and such a large sword? Seriously... Are you trying to compensate for something?" She pointed her fingers and concentrated. Out came the greenish ectoplasmic webbing and it was aimed right at his mouth! "I hope you don't mind... maybe it's your breath, but these people are a bit antsy everytime you open your mouth..."
  10. I'm late! Blast it, why couldn't those muggers just surrender. Yuki was swinging as fast as she could, the web bag on her back carrying the package meant for Majestic Industries. Problem was, she got sidetracked due to a group of three men attempting to take advantage of a woman and her friend. It was easy enough to handle, but it took to long. Now it was getting dark, and if she was to avoid another mark on her record, she 'had' to get to Majestic like, yesterday. But as Yuki's life was, things were never easy. She saw the mob in front of the building and almost immeadiatly her heart sank. Knowing my luck, they're probably out for blood. She then saw them start throwing indescribable veggies at the police. Yep. It's my lot in life. Yuki wanted nothing more then to go in, drop the package, and then get home. But she knew that as long as there was a possibility of human harm and/or danger, she wouldn't live it down. Plus there's no camera's, so what's the harm in helping. Swinging around in a low arc, she snagged a lamp pole with a webline and slowly lowered her self upside down behind what looks like the man incharge of the massively undermanned police presence. "Looks like you boys could use a hand."

Yuki blinked as the area became crowded with others. She had to think of them as others as she just couldn't really classify a wolfman as a person, now could she? Well, if he was a 'were-wolf' then technically she could... Anyway, Yuki was just ready to head home and sleep. She wanted to patrol tonight, and it was often a good idea to sleep before doing so since she often had to head straight to school from her often late night to morning patrols. She took a a piece of paper in her bag and flatened it on the desk. "Okay... if I can get your signature..." Of course, her shy voice was in danger of getting smothered by the other activity around her. Such was Yuki. With the mask on, she was as boisterous and confidant as they come. Mask off, different story.

    Traffic Jam

She landed on the ground, her mind throbbing lightly at the ammount of webbing she had just produced. Looking behind her, she saw two others, both seemingly as concerned as she was. But she really didn't have time for formal introductions. She ran up towards the wreckage, and pointed two fingers at it, shooting another strand of green mental at the car. This was a small stream, similar to the strands she use to swing with. She then began to try and pull a car away from the wreckage, being watchful of any civilian who may pop a head or limb out to attract attention. It was quite a sight, watching a person her size pulling/tearing out (1d20+10=27)a car from the pile.

    Mail Call

Yuki was quite silent throughout her time standing here. What was once a quiet, silent wait at the front desk, turned into a social. "Hi... I'm... um... Yuki?" She didn't sound to sure of that, peeking away sheepishly. "How long does it take to pickup mail?" The adult heard her mumble. "You're right." He bent towards the intercom before she could stop him. "Ecchi Haimura and Amanda Hugenkis, please report to the front desk..." He left the switch on as he looked back at the directory. "...why can't I find Amanda Hugenkis?" It took all of Yuki's strength not to laugh just now...

    Traffic Jam

Tarantula swung from almost nowhere, landing on a nearby billboard. Her eyes blinked at the smoke and the smell of crunched metal. It was nauseating to say the least. Forget that she was late for her pickup, these people need her. Yesterday. So many cars... could _anything_ survive in there? First thing first. Tarantula looked for a choke point, a place where the distance between to anchored objects on both sides of the street was shortest, then she leapt in the air and point both hands, palms outwards. She never did anything this big before...
  15. Slight change in the request: 1>Tarantula 2>A super villain causes a huge traffic accident (or similar disaster) to help cover a bigger heist. Arrow, Quark, and Tarantula teams up to save lives and ultimately find the villain responsible. 3>Arrowhawk and Quark and a villian. 4>Southside
  16. I see no harm in that. Go for it.
  17. As requested, here's the ooc thread as well. Anyone in Clarmont can pop in, as this is intended to be a light hearted and open ended thread.

    Mail Call

"Little young to be delivering packages and mail, aren't you?" Yukiko frowned at the mini interrogation as she followed who she assumed was one of the teachers, or janitors, or someone important. "I just deliver what they give me. You don't trust me, you have my contact number." "Right..." He lead her to an office looking room, where her put the envelope and the package onto a desk, before checking some sort of book. "Okay, I see Eichi Haimura... but not a Ms. Hugenkis." Yukiko shrugged. "Look, my day is almost over. Once this package is delivered I can go home." "Alright, slow down, kid. We all had a long day." He walked over to a machine. Must be an inter com or something. "Will Echi Haimura and Amanda Hugenkis report to the front desk. I repeat, Echi Haimura and Amanda Hugenkis..." Oh my god, Yukiko didn't get it till just now. Oh crud... it was up to her to weed out bad mail if it slip past the check point. "Uhm, sir I think..." "Now now, they'll be down in a second." Great, just her luck.
  19. No problem. As for where she'll most likely patrol, I would say shew would do it either on her way to school or on her way to work. It could even be by accident (she come across a problem) Sorry for being vague, I'm at work at the moment. Edit: Alright, home now. Southside, either on her way to, or coming from school. If coming from school, she is headed towards her paper supplier to begin her route on her bike.
  20. 1) Tarantula 2) Yukiko's first outing as Tarantula. 3) I'm thinking either one villian of equal rank (pl 10) or 2 or more of lower rank. I'm also up for a team up if the threat is large enough. 4) None. Basically my first thread. Go easy on a newb. ^^;
  21. Based on her background, I would guess that it would be her 'webs', Wall-Crawling, and her 'Spider-sense' like Danger-sense. She'll only have her strength and agility to defend herself with. [Though since they are mere enhancements and not permanent, they could be fair game as well with a stronger psychic aura]
  22. Before I edit, I have one last question. If I do the complex route (Power Loss in a Psychic aura) how many pp will that yield?
  23. Why does she have the body/physique of a 10-year-old girl? Now I see what you mean. The Char stats were a goof up on my part. >>; That being said, I think I'll stick with them. I envision her as a 16 year-old, if I 'have' to change them, what are your recommendations? why, speaking in-game/in-character, was she made that way? Why would the Illuminati scientists not engineer her to have permanent increases (i.e., no Enhanced Stats, just naturally high ones), or to have lower 'enhancements' but high 'baseline' stats? Because the process itself wasn't 'permanent'. Normally things aren't sealed until they become a finished product. It was insurance in case Yuki turned against them. Her powers could be 'shut-off'. (More on that later). On a similar note, do you have an idea for whom she was cloned from, and why that individual was chosen? Does that individual knows of the clone? If you don't have answers for these, the Refs will figure something out... I'll have to read through her background again (I may have used an older version of her background), but she is NOT a clone. Merely a subject who as a child was infused with genetic information (DNA splicing/tampering). As far as her doner, I'll definitely leave that to a ref. Could be fun. :-p The frequency of the psychic descriptor is right, but the effect you have written isn't, that's what I was pointing out. Is that Vulnerability -- taking twice as much damage/effect from mental/psionic things -- what you were wanting for the char? If so, cool, if you were wanting something else, we can work on that. And, on a similar track to my questioning above, why does she have this? Was it something the Illuminati intentionally put into her to make her more easily controlled? An unintended flaw in her creation process? Sabotage by someone else? Okay, remember that switch I was talking about earlier? In her background I made mention that her webbing and wall-crawling ability were both pyschic based. When one uses a psychic attack on her, it 'interferes' with her powers. At the right pyschic frequency, her powers can be nullified. I didn't really know how to replicate this. However, on top of any suggestions you might have, I'll like to keep the drawback I already have. Since her powers are psychic based, that would mean that her mind may be extra vulnerable to psychic attacks, so they should be more effective against her.
