"An old girlfriend of mine used to come here a lot. I'm not sure if I'd like to see her tonight or not. Just trying to keep my eyes open for her in case she comes this way. Alan takes another drink of his beer and seems to relax slightly. "So, tell me doctor, what do you think of those tentacles on Kizzy?"

Alan blushes a little when he notices the woman. "Looks like I'll be drinking." Alan chuckles a little and motions for the waitress. He sends a drink over to the young lady Kizzy pointed out and orders a beer for himself. He still seems to be watching the crowd for someone, but he seems to calm some after his drink arrives. After Kizzy walks away toward the dance floor, Alan looks over at the doctor. "Can't say I blame you for not dancing."

Alan turns his attension back to the other people with him. "Not so much anymore, I used to be a regular here just after I turned 21. It seems I've left my partying days behind though." Alan scans the people again, almost as if he's looking for someone.

When the trio arrive in front of Millenium, Alan steps out and offers his hand to Kizzy. He walks inside and proceeds to a table to sit and relax. He takes a look around and takes in all the people dancing and talking.

Alan steps out and hails a taxi. He gets inside and motions for the other two to join him.

Alan moves quickly to lead the way to his apartment. He enters the building and leads his two new acquaintances to the 2nd floor where his loft is. He drops off his comics quickly to keep the two from seeing his mess. "Alright, unless you two are hungry, I believe our next stop is Millennium."

Alan looks up from the shadows to respond to the doctor. "I was mostly there for flunking out. My father wanted me to go into business law to help him at his law firm. I wasn't really into the actual academics though. My apartment is just around the corner. We can drop off my stuff and your skateboard if you want."

Alan finally notices the shadows around Kizzy. He stammers the next few sentences before regaining his composure. "Na... Na... Native, yeah. I'm ah, from the... um city. Yeah, I grew up here. Lived here all my life except for the semester at Harvard." Alan takes a step back from Kizzy, fully taking in the shadows around him. He seems more than a little uneasy suddenly.

At the mention of Alan beating up the stranger, Alan chuckles nervously. "It's a pleasure to meet you Dr. Archeville. My name's Alan Starsmore, and despite my choice in reading material, I will not be beating you up, even if you were a super-villain."
