Ack, first roll for the site could have gone better: natural 1 on initiative. Is putting the roll in the body of the IC post alright, or should I keep it in the OOC?

I would prefer that most rolls go here in the OOC thread, but I have no problems with also linking it in your IC post.

Checking in with Witch or Angel, whichever you think would be more appropriate. One is a PL10 hero, the other is a PL6 villain.

Which would you like to play? All of the other characters are PL 10 and up but I have no problems with mixing PLs. I would suggest Angle, but with Exile joining the game, another villain doesn't hurt.

Since I'm getting back into posting gear I would like to inquire about the possibility of getting Exile into this.

Right now, I've got Doc A, Angel/Witch, Jack of all Blades, Dark Star, Twilight Gryphon, and Exile then. Six is about good.

Ghost shook his hand again, trying to making sure that he still have full feeling it.

"Bel," he called over his shoulder. "Get ready to run."

'Doesn't seem to be any traps on this thing. I hope this is what we were supposed to get.'

Ghost grabbed the coin and quickly pocketed it. The thief didn't wait around to see what might happen. He turned and ran back to Belphegor, helping the demon to his feet.

"Come on, Bel, we're almost free of this debt. All we need to do now is get out."

EVERYONE

Okay. To make things easier to understand.

Boomer can see to the midway area. He can see both Leon and barely Samael.

Zealot, who is on the opposite side from Boomer, can see both Samael and Leon.

The light fixture is between Samael and Leon. [Think of this as the center point.]

So we have the following set up:

Boomer-------Leon---Light fixture---Samael---------Zealot

Leon can reach the light fixture with a move action and an Acrobatics check of 15 [which he can make Auto, no roll needed.]

Leon

Leon flipped out of the window just in time to see a blast of light coming from a costumed hero near the Gadgets R' Us. The blast struck the ceiling and Leon just made out the sight of a gremlin disappearing. The light fixture that the creature was at suddenly broke away, sending an electric cable down to dangle over a group of bystanders. People began to run in an attempt to escape the deadly cable. Unfortunately, an old woman was knocked to the ground by the rush of people. There was no way for her to escape the electric cable.

Beyond this group, Leon could see the bounding form of the muscle man still chasing after one of the gremlins. Beyond him, in front of the bookstore, Leon could just make out another costumed figure.

Zealot

Zealot returned to the bookstore and let his senses reach out over the area. He easily counted twenty of the magical gremlins in various locations through the bookstore. Tracking the creatures showed their paths had originated somewhere outside within the mall itself.

People had moved out of the costumed villain's presence, not knowing what was going on. Outside of the bookstore, Zealot could see a commotion coming from the middle of the floor. A large figure was leaping over people with ease. As he watched, a blast of light shot out coming from out of range of his sight to hit a gremlin hanging in the light fixtures. Once the blast hit, the light swung free, dangling over a group of bystanders trying desperately to get clear of the electric cable sending sparks all around. Through his magical sense, Zealot could see that the mall was infested with the creatures. The numbers were just too great to count.

Let say that Leon take 10 on Acrobatic to flip through the window and landing on his feet. And I assume that Leon have no problem to do fancy acrobatic movements.

No problems whatsoever.

How far away is the Light/cable/old woman from boomer for reference?

At normal speed, with people in the way, Boomer can reach it with a double move and an

Acrobatics DC 15 check [No taking ten on the roll.]

Flying, is of course within one move action, no Acrobatics check required.

'The Lady does love me!'

Ghost turned and moved into the room. "Belphegor, I think I've found what we're looking for! Let's get this thing and go. Ghost took his time checking over the displayed coin, determined not to get caught by another trap. As he worked, he shook his hand that had been stuck by the needle.

'I hope there's no more traps on this thing. We need to get out of here as fast as possible. No telling when that thing is going to wake up.'

Yeah, poison. Got to love it.

:oops: D'uoh! You're right. Man I feel stupid. Okay, no people were present to get blasted. I've edited the last post I made for you, taking out the bystanders. If you could redo your last post, I'll continue the story.

We're alive! I almost thought we were going to buy the farm on that one! Belphegor looked pretty messed up and after that stunt of mine, I'm not feeling all that great either.

Hmmm, these guys are packing some really heavy weaponry. Can't seem to get it to work though. Must be coded for their personal use. Not like I need it. Lady Fortune is always watching out for me. Now all we have to do is get through this door and into the next room to our target. I hope he's in a talking mode!

The Ghost

Gather Information

DC 10 "The Ghost? I've heard of him. Supposed to be some kind of specialist at getting hard to reach items."

DC 15 "He's pretty good at what he does. Police can't seem to track him down, though they haven't really tried."

DC 20 "I heard that strange things keep happening around him. It's one of the reason he's never been caught."

DC 25 "He keeps a low profile. That heist back in March 2007 at the Natural History Museum was supposed to be his handiwork."

Streetwise

DC 10 "If you're looking for someone to break into a high security location, the Ghost is the guy for the job."

DC 15 "You're looking for The Ghost? I heard he hangs out in The Boardwalk area when he's not working."

DC 20 "If you want to hire The Ghost, you' best bet is to get in touch with Lenny. He passes messages on to The Ghost, I hear.

DC 40 "I heard form a friend of my cousin's friend that he tried to rob the Golden Calf Casino with a group of super villains. Not sure what happened though. Nobody's talking like the place was robbed or nothing. Actually, come to think about it, I ain't heard from my cousin in a long while. I wonder what happened to him?" (Gaining this information can be hazardous to one's health. Powerful people are keeping the incident very quiet.)

Boomer

The light fixture is bound to drop after two rounds. The cables however, may hit the woman next round if something isn'T done to stop it.

Boomer

Boomer's aim was very precise as it hit the creature squarely and sending it back to whatever realm it spawned from. Unfortunately, the damage to the light fixture was already done. Instead of falling directly on the people below, one end broke free. The fixture dangled halfway down to the landing where people finally saw the danger. People began running away from the hanging fixture, trying to avoid the power lines as electric sparks danced from the ends.

Boomer could see that most people would clear the area safely, but there was an old woman, knocked to the ground that could not escape in time.

Switch to Blast AP and sending a another holy attack at the creature DC 21

Ghost shook his hand to remove the goo from it before proceeding further. his eyes lit up as he saw all the coins in the room, a smile crossing his face.

'Oh, I am good!'

The Ghost moved into the room and glanced about but the sound of Belphegor drew his attention back to the fight. He saw the demon get hit again and drop as the chained creature began to stand.

'Oh no!'

Again Ghost exerted his control over the world around him. His foot often times very steady, landed on one of the loose coins upon the floor. As he lifted his foot, the coin slid with tremendous force out of the room and towards the chained creature. The creature's spinning chain hit the coin with tremendous force sending it flying up and into the already weakened walled. As the coin bounced off the wall, it dislodged another piece of rune covered concrete. The concrete got caught in the spinning chain only to be shot directly at the creature.

Zealot

You do realize you're in a book store, right? There's no stalls to hide in. He could move behind a display and change, though there's a good chance people saw the blast he did.

EDIT: I'll assume you dashed behind a display to change and move you on.

Boomer and Atlas

Booker took up a position and shot his light blast at one of the gremlins. It easily hit the unaware creature causing it to disappear in a small after image of light, its connection broken. The light, however, catches the attention of the other gremlins who turn to see where the blast had come from. They screeched in anger before ducking mostly out of sight.

One of the gremlins began clawing at a large light fixture that hung over the walkway and a group of knowing bystanders. The speed in which it worked, it was clear that Boomer only had a moment to react. Further down the walkway, he could just make out a large well muscled man leaping over people, chasing after something.

Samael exited the sports store and saw the gremlins scatter in various directions. A blast of light from the direction of the Gadgets R' Us. looking up where the blast hit, Samael could see the gremlin disappear just like the one he took out.

He turned his attention back to the gremlins, bounding over surprised people as he followed them. Just up ahead, he could see the gremlin he was following suddenly stop in front of the escalator, no longer interested in escape, and begin ripping into the base. The downward moving escalator shuddered slightly and Samael knew that if he didn't reach it soon, an accident was bound to happen.

Leon

The blow carried more power than even Leon had expected it did as he watch the creature disappear in a puff of light, its connection to this world broken. free of the gremlin before him, he turned just in time to see the large man that helped with the treadmill go bounding out of the window after the fleeing gremlins.

Zealot

Zealot's energy washed over the area, catching all five of the magical creatures in the blast. The magical creatures all drop to the ground and disappear in small motes of light, their connection to the world broken.

A quick check of his magical senses showed that the restroom was clear of gremlins but he still detected more outside within the mall.

Ooooohhhh. I misunderstood what was going on. Blame the weird set-up of my local mall. Are there anymore gremlins I could reach and attack this round, or should I be more concerned with chasing after them right now?

All the gremlins ran out of the store. So it would be best to run after those that got away.

Ghost started working on the lock and didn't realize his mistake until he hear the small click as he set off the trap.

'Oh,no!' was all he could think before the trap released whatever fiendish effect upon himself.

Twilight Gryphon

The woman smiled at Olivia as she gratefully handed over a portion of her burden. "Thanks. I find it very difficult to move from tower to tower when burdened."

The woman points at one of the nearby towers. "I'm heading over there, to the library. Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you here at the Academy before."

Dark Star

The driver pulled on the reigns stopping the cart. He blinked in surprise at Dark Star's dark figure but didn't seem too upset by what he saw. "Why you're about a short ride outside of Freedom's Reach, the greatest city in the land. It's the year of our Lord 1310, my good sir."

The driver frowned slightly after answering the question. "Are you new to the area, my lord? Did you come for the tourney?"
