  1. Uninverted, you still have a movement action to perform, if you want. :)
  2. Thanks for posting this. I was about to ask for the code.

  5. I suppose we'll have to wait for beard's decision. I've been enjoying this scenario so far and I'm interested to see how it plays out. Maelstorm has a clear advantage, and maybe Nightrival bite off more than he can chew . . .

  8. My interpretation was that characters don't need an attack roll to pick up objects (like Maelstrom picking up the slot machine) but if they target someone with that object they need an attack roll. If Maelstorm was attacking with just his powers (like trying to pick up Nightrival and throw him) then he doesn't need an attack roll either. It would be impossible to dodge a gust of wind (it's invisible and everywhere) but as soon as you launch a large solid object then that's something your opponent can see and avoid. So if throwing an object doesn't require an attack roll, how do targets dodge? I just gotta look out for my characer, you know? :D

  11. I might be wrong, but the Perception range only applies to grabbing and moving things. If you want to do something specific like direct an object towards someone (like tossing a slot machine) then that is an attack and you must roll for that. But I'm not sure. Referee?

  14. It's an excellent book, hands down. New powers, expansion on established powers, new feats, extras and flaws: it's worth getting. The interior art is decent, too. And to answer your question regarding Damage DC for your Air Control power, I believe you use the power rank rather than the effective strength to determine the DC. The strength score just determines how much you can move. If Telekinesis or Air Control use their effective strength, then players would have access to attacks that could potentially have a +20 bonus, which exceeds power level caps anyway. Sorry, I just realized this was already answered.

  17. I'm just trying to hit Maelstrom. I would have had to state that I wanted to use the Improved Grab feat when I stated my action. However, if I use Power Attack and double my DC, that would threaten Maelstorm's Toughness.

  20. Right, I gotcha. I'll keep OOC comments here from now on. That's right, I'm mistaken in thinking that feinting is a free action. I'll use extra effort and take a level of fatigue.

  23. Nightrival That was too close, Nightrival thinks as he regains his composure. He notes the two guards standing behind his opponent, but does nothing to acknowledge their presence. They might be on my side, and I could use the help. Within a few seconds he has taken his surroundings into account, even the chandelier inside the casino. With a quick heave he tumbles along the ground towards his target then breaks into a series of front flips, in hopes of disorientating Maelstrom. As soon as he gets within striking distance, Nightrival braces for a upper-cut but instead sends a spinning back kick.
