  1. Carmen didn't want to ask much beyond the confusion of using a clone. Alien biology and what not was just not something that she was truly knowledgeable about, let alone regular human biology here on Earth. It seemed at the least that Patriot was happy, her very own kid, looking down to the small, strange child and giving them a soft smile, rocking slowly with Fa'Rua in her arms. There was at the least some experience with working with children this age with her time in the orphanage. This smile was slowly fading as thoughts began to form, wondering if her own mother had ever held her like this, in her arms to rock back and forth.

    "Won't tell a soul."

  2. Such perfect isolation was broken by the fact that Carmen was being finally taken out of the box by Neko. She was now being observed and she could tell, and it had to be her, it had to be Neko. A rival for no reason other than pure happenstance of what they were, underclassman and upperclassman, cat girl and cat girl. Naturally opposing entities directly opposed to one another for no other reason as it appeared. But then, when Neko handed her a cookie, yellow eyes meeting her own, she was broken, just standing there, at a loss for what to say or do.

  3. Carmen craned her head to the right, looking at the child, a strange almost alien child that was just barely of this world it seemed at all, seeing the ears as she observed the small child. It was like a small person was there in Patriot's hands, just a little guy, right there, looking up at her in the same way another small child had looked up to her not so long ago. Being told that she could then hold the child was something she wasn't expecting, sheepishly taking the child in her arms in surprise, feeling his small weight and form now that she looked down to in her arms, "A clone?"

  4. Carmen "La Puma Negra"

Whatever this thing was saying she didn't really care. It was a tool to be used and she hated using it, gripping it tight in the hand like a batter in the Carribean League back home, swinging it as she traveled through the air into the form of Juan with both hands wielding it in mid air. A testament to her ability to do so as no normal human could have done such a feat let alone be able to have survived this long without such.

    "Well dodge this raro!"

  5. Carmen stretched out like a cat that had just awoken from a nap, standing up from the bench to greet her mentor and the child that she carried. The young heroine recalled hearing something about Fa'Rua the last time they had spoken, or well, had texted each other in this case. Memory wasn't her strong suit when it came to these sorts of things and school had made things a bit more difficult. Study and exams this quick in the year, barely a month into being a Junior there at Claremont, already harassed by a counselor or two about colleges. Her question was how she would even go to college with her financial situation, let alone her appearance.

Close enough to the baby now as Patriot came up to her, Carmen looked down at the newborn with a curious face, cattish face, eyes peering down to this strange sort if child, born of two different worlds, "Hi Phillip," she says in a soft voice, almost as if there was a purr, trying to not startle them. Carmen wasn't that experienced dealing babies that much, not wanting to cause them to cry.

For a few moments, Carmen just sort of stood there, looking painfully forward towards the other students. She remained silent, standing there with her stuff, not accepting the help from Multi-Girl nor turning it down. This was her natural defense, her own silence her camouflage, just standing there, not doing anything and yet somehow whenever attention seemed to commonly be taken away from her was now an inch closer to her new rooms open door. Yes, yes, like a Schrödinger's cat, unobserved and all from what she was taught about that sort of theory, or something like that, she didn't really know.

Puma continued to climb, and climb, leaping to and fro upward further and faster than she had ever done before. The young woman was determined, willing to push herself to the very limits in order to catch this man. Something that was inside her at the moment compelled her to stop him, no matter what, even if her own hands couldn't, she was compelled to him. After all, Puma had a promise to keep and she wasn't going to just break it, regardless of whom it was with as she heard someone shout out.

The young heroine would turn as she leapt upward, seeing someone throw her the Devil's Stick. She didn't know if it was Tazel or the stick itself, but it flew towards her, reaching out to grab it as quick as she could. At first it would near slip from her fingers before she finally reached out and fully grasped it, taking it into her hands, feeling the power and evil of such a strong device that was now there in her hands.

She'd aim it towards Juan, willing her thoughts to do something against Juan, anything to stop him.

  8. Carmen "La Puma Negra"

Puma was fuming visibly, growling with her claws and gritting her teeth like she was chewing on the toughest piece of steak she had ever eaten. He was getting away and there was nothing that she could physically do. Even in her more aggressive and angered state of mind she still had enough common sense not to go after essentially thin air. Smoke wisps that trailed up to the roof opening of the building and towards alley way, he was getting away.

Without speaking, Puma ran towards the wall and began to climb up the dilapidated buildings interior side, leaping around like a mad cat as she attempted to keep pace. If she couldn't catch him, she could easily enough keep up with him with her own ability, using her leaping abilities and natural prediction for climbing to let her keep the pace with him. Puma wasn't just going to let him get away from her so easily now.

"Tazel, what do we have to stop him!?"

  9. Carmen wasn't alone when she was getting to her floor, and unfortunately for her, if one could call it unfortunate, her room sharing the same relative space on the fifth floor with a certain other feline. Call it plain old genetics or something, but something about Neko grinded her gears, being almost a complete opposite to Carmen, from this extroverted appearing personality compared to her own more introverted to the more outward human like appearance that she had compared to the were-creature that she was. However, it wasn't Neko's voice that made her pause, freezing in place with wide feline eyes, but the Multi Girl as she was called, Bernadette. A call that she hadn't anticipated, just standing loaded with her stuff, awkwardly.

  10. The air was beginning to chill as Summer was quickly fading into Fall. Even then, she could sense in the air rain showers that'd be coming later in the evening. It wasn't that there would actually be one potentially, but something about how her feline sense of smell and such made it so Carmen Arrache just kind of felt these sorts of things. Honestly, if she wanted to confirm such was even correct, Carmen could have just as easily checked her phone or watched the news to see what the forecast was. Unfortunately, sometimes that sort of cat like personality could make her a little bit lazy at times.

Carmen could see her, Ahsley, otherwise known as the current Patriot, coming up with what appeared to be a small child in her arms. This perked the brow of the young feline appearing woman, laying down on a bench by the front of the women's dorm building. She hadn't expected Ashley to be a mother, unless she wasn't, and it was someone else's kid. It didn't appear like that weirdo demon man's kid, but it could have fooled her as she got up, stretching before she stood once more. Fall weather meant that her varsity jacket could be work without any issue, feeling nice and comfortable for her.

A solitary suitcase in one hand and a duffel bag in the other, Carmen had scaled the floors up towards her room with, carrying the heavy bags up the stairs without breaking much of a sweat whatsoever. This was the perk of totally rad superstrength that she possessed among other things, ascending up to the fifth floor and making her way to room 504. Now that she was a junior, she could have her own room now, free from anyone bothering her and to do as she pleased. It wasn't like sophomore year hadn't already been spent alone in a room, having chased out the last partner tenant to the point that they asked to be reassigned to a whole different floor.

The whole Summer had been spent in a small clergy home, sponsored by a Catholic church over the Summer. Carmen hadn't been able to go home back to the orphanage in Puerto Rico. The whole time she hadn't really done much, only going out for an internship or working with Patriot. In fact, the action had been light, save for a few creeps she beat up around the neighborhood and that one incident.

"This way," she says, turning once she got to the landing, taking a right.

  12. Carmen "La Puma Negra"

Was still duking it out with these small miscreants that it was hard to keep track of the two. Both of them were hard pressing her ability to fight two foes at a time, and with a relative speed that was getting close to her own. Naturally however, this wouldn't stop her from dealing out the certain punishment they were owed, regardless of them being just trapped kids after attempting to bite her. It was even more so after one of them managed to get through with just that, finding purchase into her leg, erupting a cry of pain as it ripped into her thigh.

Naturally she'd respond with maybe a bit more violence than she should have had as she kicked him off into a wall while the other received a solid strike from strong a slash of her claw. Now there was nothing standing between her and where Juan was, moving towards him quickly, "Juan!"

  13. Carmen "La Puma Negra"

Puma cried out as she was surrounded and then bitten by one of the two remaining monster children, a feral cry that sounded just as animalistic as they did. It wasn't all that bad, barely breaking the skin before she managed to get him off of her leg. For the trouble, she let loose a wild kick in his direction, but it wasn't well aimed. A spur of the moment attack that wasn't really something that she was proud of per say. She could do far better.

The children were nuisances, the real target was the man that was the center of her attention. This prick had seriously made a night that could have been somewhat relaxing a mess, and now she was going to start venting some of that anger out as she zoomed in on his position.

"Tazel, slow those kids, do whatever you can do!"

  14. Carmen "La Puma Negra"

"Bring it!" Puma smiled. From robbing a museum to fighting a pack of nasty dog children and their crazed sycophantic master, this was the best part, charging forward at the kids with a wild look in her eyes. She felt sorry for them for just a moment as she came towards them in a charge like fashion, near pouncing on one as she came at it quickly and without much hesitation. What followed was a kick that sent the first of her so called prey away in a tumble, knocked away with a barely an issue. The dog boy was rendered completely knocked out.

The next one would be just as unlucky as after kicking the first away she'd barrel into the other with a clawed fist, hitting just as hard and knocking him out in a heap. It would hurt when they awoke but it wouldn't kill them, Puma now going for the other just barely managed to get out of the way in time of her strike. Puma meant business.

  15.

    Carmen "La Puma Negra"

"Bastard," she spoke as she swatted away the smoke from her eyes and struck Juan, giving him likely a nasty shiner for the morning after. She was done playing games with, rearing back her fist to strike him again before he disappeared into his own smoke. He was definitely annoying, as she back away a step, she could hear the sound of those beastly children upon her, gearing up to fight them off the best she could.

"Tazel!" she called out, commanding in a tone befitting a masterly command, even if it wasn't meant for such, "Give me a way to see this idiot!"

Puma didn't need to see, bringing out the claws as she pushed her senses hard to compensate. Hyper hearing and smell, ways to see in the obscuring smoke that now surrounded her, "Alright kids, time to show who's the top of the food chain."
