  1. "Great. See you around," Arthur says as he runs outside. Crossing the street, and running the three blocks down to his apartments.

Cursing the broken elevator again, he runs up the stairs and into his apartments. A quick change later, Arthur finds himself sneaking onto the fire escape and tries to take the rooftop road to the youth center.

  2. Arthur listened to the shopkeeper, while keeping one eye on the unconscious ganger. "Could be. Word on the street is that gang members don't appreciate being arrested."

He didn't like what he was hearing though, and joking wouldn't help. "That sounds bad. Whenever these jokers decide to gather for something, it means trouble. You didn't catch anything else did you? Or know of someone who knows more?"

Arthur didn't expect an answer, and was already preparing to check out the youth center. First though, he needed to find a place to stash his civilian clothes.

  3. I remember playing a few MUDs some years ago (read 10 or 11 years ago) just as I got into rpgs. The one I used to play in was called Nanny MUD, don't even know if it exists anymore. I remember my neighbor actually made a Apocalypse MUD (don't remember what he called it) after playing too much Fallout. Was our first attempt at programming. It was fun, but as I grew up I was easily distracted by shiney graphics as I played MMORPGs, but none have given me the same magic feeling as my first MUD.

I never got the difference between MUD, MUSH and MUCK though? :? :?:

  4. Sorry I've been away the last few days. I got some computer trouble this weekend, but now it seems to be in working order. Will probably take me a couple of days to get in order, but will try to post in the threads I'm in as soon as possible.

  5. "Initiation. He's with the Southside C's. He probably had to rob you, or even kill you, to be a part of the gang," Arthur says, turning his attention fully to Javier. "Any reason why they chose you, or is it just random?"

  6. "Are you crazy!" is Arthur's first reaction. "A shotgun?! I could have subdued him without any harm."

He runs over to the kid to check for vital signs, his icy armor disappearing for each step. "I'm not with a rival gang or anything if that's what you think. And while I may moonlight as a vigilante, but I don't wish 'em dead. You have somethin' I can stop the bleeding with?"

  7. On the DC side, there might also be room for a group that would be to the Freedom League what the Outsiders were to the Justice League.

I think Chill Out could fit well in such a team.

It's true, the group went its seperate ways but one member has come back. However, the game Forceful Ops is essentially a member drive. We plan to team up after we take down the bad guys. If you're interested in joining you are more than welcome to.

I will give it a read through when I have the time and see if I can squeeze one of my characters in there :)

  8. I fixed the Device. Leaving me with some spare points. Bought some equipment to deal with non sentient/soulless enemies. I figured he'd get a stun gun from some criminal he'd stopped early on. He don't know how it works, just that it does.

I also took Quick Draw, because no western gunslinger can not have it :P

I increased the sidekick feat by 1. Used the point to pay for Innate, and increased Int by 1. Western heroes steeds are often smarter than other of its kind.

I think that's most of the changes. Hope it all adds up now :)

  9. SAMMY SIX SHOOTER

    Players Name: Leffa

    Power Level: 6 (91 pp)

    Unspent PP: 1

    Characters Name: Sammy Six-Shooter

    Alternate Identity: Samuel Hawkins

    Height: 5'5"

    Weight: 154

    Hair: Brown

    Eyes: Brown

Description: Sammy looks the part of most of the classic western heroes. He has a long brown leather duster, and a wide brimmed hat that hides most of his face in shadows. Planted in the middle of his face is a handlebar mustache and the beard seems to always consist of stubs.

History: Samuel "Sammy" Hawkins were born in an alternate dimension where time's still stuck in the wild west era only the cowboys ride dinosaurs instead of horses. He grew up to become one of the most feared and renowned gunslingers in the west. Together with his white dinosaur Silver, he became the hero of many dime novels.

It was during one of his adventures, as he was chasing down a Wendigo cult when he came in possession of his magical six-shooter. Stole it of one of the cultists. Over the next couple of years he became even more known for his magical gun. Most bandits feared the more mention of his name.

Throughout the years he had made many enemies, but the worst of the bunch was the immortal sorcerer and degenerate gambler Clayton Mullins, better known as the Gambler for the way he gambled in other people's souls. Every time Sammy thought he'd defeated the sorcerer, he always found a way to come back for revenge.

It was during one of their clashes that Clayton was trying to open a gate to the hunting grounds to summon a fear demon. Something went wrong, due to Sammy's interference, and they both fell into the gateway. They were hurtled through the hunting grounds and came out in the middle of Freedom City. They continued their fight, but the sorcerer got away, as usual.

Suddenly Sammy found himself in a world not his own. Filled with strange new wonders. A man out of his element and out of his time. Now he's trying to make a home for himself in Freedom City while hunting for Clayton and any other criminal he can find. All he needs is an apartment that allows dinosaurs as pets and a job that would hire someone with no technical skill, shouldn't be too hard.

Complications: Enemy (Clayton Mullins aka The Gambler), Honor, Technologically Challenged (Sammy grew up in a society comparable to the 1870s, as such he has problem understanding most of our new fangled technology)

  10. Arthur could recognize the gang member's color, one of the Southside C's. He had busted a few of them lately. This was an initiate though, probably nervous. Easy for him to mess up, do something he'd later regret. Arthur remembered his own initiation, he was nervous and sure he'd slip up. To many variables, too many things could go wrong. Arthur would have to end this soon, before it ended badly.

  11. "That would imply I had any money," Arthur sighed as he moved out on the floor.

"Just put down the gun, and no one will be hurt," Arthur said as ice formed over his skin, turning him to a living icicle. "Or we could do this the hard way." Arthur hoped this threat would be enough to get the kid out of here.

  12. Of course, just going to the store for some coffee and a robbery... typical, Arthur thinks as he steps towards the gunner. "Kid, I really wouldn't want to do that if I was you."

If it wasn't for the gun and the threat of imminent violence, he'd find the way he called a boy just a few years younger than him kid funny. As it was he just wanted the kid to focus on and face him, if the gun was to go off, at least it wouldn't be pointing at Javier.

  13. When Javier talks to him, Arthur shifts uncomfortably. He really didn't like discussing his life, or even idle chit chat. "I work here and there. For anyone willing to hire a high school drop out. Mostly at the docks, there's ships coming in at all hours," Arthur said, which he guessed was technically true. "Screws up my internal clock."

He pauses and looks over the brands of coffee again before settling for a cheap one. "That's also why I need some of Colombian's finest." He looks at the package. "Though I suspect it's far from finest, or even Colombian."

  14. Arthur rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. It had been a hard day at his day job, and soon he was going to have a long night in his more secretive night job. But first he had to stop for supplies, if he was going to make it through the night, he would need coffee. Lots of it, and black as night.

With a yawn he entered the shop. He smiled at the shopkeeper washing the floors as he passed him and made his way through the aisles to his intended target. He started browsing the different brands.

  15. I think it could be a fun idea as long as it's not just another Freedom League clone. If the team could be a bit different, like marvel's X-Factor (superhero PI), Defenders (Mystical defenders) or Thunderbolts (Reformed villains) then I think a team could be awesome. There's probably a hundred little twists you could do to make an interesting superteam that's still unique and fills its own niche.
