  1. [A Small Brown leather bound journal sits in front of you, a strange emblem that almost seems to glow on it’s own accord is on the front cover. It appears to be a triangle with a fox inside it, Flames spread about the triangle swooping up like a pare of wings, until there tips almost touch above the triangle. Inside the ink also seems to glow an off red, as if the words themselves were on fire. The words appear to be in Irish.]

    After being cooped up in that lousy excuse of an airline I’ve finally made it to Freedom city! With all the Meta-Human activity here I’m bound to fit right in.

    I’ve managed to procure a small apartment, it’s a dump but it will do until I can get more suitable accommodations.

    Hopefully now I can begin to expand my power, I’ve recently been able to harness a small amount of Foxfire both in my human and fox forms’ but its pitiful, not even enough to scorch a cockroach. I must find a way to increase my power, how to gain access to the large Foxfire energy’s I can feel within me.

    To top it off something wrong, every time I shift into my fox form, my nose goes crazy, it’s as if I’ve get terrible hay fever. I may need to seek out a mystic to see find out why. Hopefully it’s nothing to bad, some form of Foxfire cold perhaps?

    I think I may go hunting tonight. Being cooped up on the plain has left me anxious and I can feel the fire within me wishing to be released, I shall have to be careful though I herd there are powerful Mystics in this city that have it in there heads to play good Samarian. Moronic fools if you ask me, sacrificing their lives for people who care nothing for them. Bah fools the lot of ’em.

  4. Morph/Metamorph builds tend to get exceedingly complicated. And Metamorph is for the entire character, not just one thing (since it is in some ways an "Alternate Power" for your entire character sheet).

    What is the device, and how/why does it change? How many "forms" is your device going to have? Is it a few pre-set things, or "anything"? Are the some effects/powers it has that are always in effect no matter what form it's in?

    I was thinking on that last night, and i thought another option rather than morph/metamorph (since as you say it gets complicated) would be Alternate form, linked with Alternate powers?

    As for what the device is, it’s actually a number of devices each keyed to a specific job.

    What I'm thinking of atm is

    Battle Armour device

    Movement device

    Weapons device

    Sensor device

    Drone device (possible, maybe if I can think of a good way to do them but probably not.)

    Each one would have a number of Alternate form, and abilities, but depending on what it is it may have more or less, (So say the Battle armour may only have 1 or 2 other forms, were as the movement device would likely have 5-6 different forms (things like Motorcycle, Jetpack ext) Each device would be Pre-set with what it can transform into, and what abilities it has in that form.

    For the most part they have no pre-set powers that are always on, and they have no powers while there not activated (other than to change into there other active forms)

  5. The past few weeks I've been mulling over an idea, that i may replace shui with after his current story is finished.

    My question is, how would you build a Device that is capable of changing?

    I was thinking passable the Morph - Metamorph power? so for example

    Device 10

    -Morph 5 (Metamorph 3)

    Morph 1: Power Armor

    -Morph 5 (metamorph 3)

    -Protection 10

    -ext

    -ext

    Morph 2: Jet pack

    -Morph 5 (metamorph 3)

    something like that anyway? Although as much as i like the character I'm not sure how successfully I'd be creating the character, since his powers are fairly complex and it may end up being too cost restrictive.

  6. Shui sees the armored man exit the truck and make a run for it. Shui frowns, not sure what to do, on one hand the fleeing man could be a villain steeling whatever the truck had, but on the other hand it could be a hero who is trying to get the item to safety???

    As Icarus got further and further away, Shui decides to take chance. Since the Armoured man was the only other hero still around that shui new off, and the strange event that was keeping the thugs on the ground obviously didn’t come from the thugs, than it had to be the armoured man, and in shui’s book, no hero would bring down a number of buildings like he did just to grab an item and run.

    Taking flight, Shui follows after the fleeing stranger...

Ok so I’ve moved Defence Role (1) and Dodge focus (1) out of his alternate form to indicate his athletic ability, as well as lowering the container to 30pp. Added a few hidden numbers between his human and fox forms. Lowered his fortitude by 1pount since the full round flaw didn't quit cover the extra pp's from the container, and I’ve fixed up the skill's you said.

    And to answer your questions...

    Can he only use his Magic in his human form, or is it available in both?

    Yes, while he only has a small blast at the moment, i would eventually like to expand it into other useful skills he can use in both his human and fox forms.

    Do you want him, in his human form, to have any Attack or Defence bonus?

    Yes and no, I would like him to keep most if not all of his Attack, putting it down as practise with his magic blast, although it could be lowered a little to show the lack of sensory skills in his human form. and Defence i thought should be lower because he's slower and not as nimble in his human form, same with toughness.

    Although if his points line up atm, and there’s no other faults, I’d rather not mess with his stats too much, the more i modify him the harder it gets to keep track of his points :?

    APPEARANCE

    In human form, Sirius looks like an average twenty one year old, with long black hair, and blue eyes. He has a thin rather scrawny athletes build, and wares casual clothing. In his Fox form, Sirius looks like a humanoid fox, His hair, clothing (Which were modified to fit a hidden tail hole.) and eyes remain the same, but he also gains a think layer of fur. The Majority of the fur is a rusty red colour, while his chest and face feature white fur, with his ears tail, hands and feet coating a rich black fur. His noes and ears also enlarge to match there Fox counterparts, as well as a large bushy tail, which Sirius has little control over.

    BACKGROUND

    Sirius Vulpes is a direct descendant of an ancient druid sect from the English isles. During his studies Sirius’s ancestor came across an ancient spell, one that would allow him to take on the traits of animals. Unfortunately the ritual backfired and killed the Druid. But not before it’s ancient magic was unleashed on his unborn son.

    Many moons later his child was born, Strange Red markings covered the boy’s shoulders and chest. The communities other druids attempted to discern the markings but were unable to, until the boys 20th birthday, were the now young man suddenly transformed into an anthropomorphic fox. Though the Druids tried, they never discovered the origins of the boy’s powers.

    As the years passed he eventually had a child, a daughter, and she too had the same markings. And so many generations later the ancient magic still emanated through the bloodline.

    Sirius, the latest member of the family to inherit the Fox magic knows little about his past. His Magic skills are still week at best, and he has much to learn about magic and his own abilities. Discontent to slowly learn Sirius has taken the mantel of The Red Fox were he masquerades in his Fox form to steal items of Magical origins.

    Sirius had a hard childhood, being runty compared to the other children meant he was always the first to be bullied, which only got worst the older he got. By high school Sirius had grown bitter, He spent most of his time running and dodging bullies in high school. Unfortunately matters only worsened when he got to collage. Suddenly the Bullies became a lot bigger and stronger than him while he was still stuck in his scrawny five foot seven, one hundred ten body.

    Sirius hats bullies more than anything, but he is bitter about it. He has no problem being a bully and intact enjoys it. If he sees someone being bullied he won't go to there aid, his reasoning, "Nobody ever came to my aid."

    PERSONALITY

    Sirius is immature and lacks patients. He wishes to have power and wealth and will use his powers to get it. But like his furry counterparts, Sirius lacks bravery, preferring to run than fight a losing battle. On occasion he can also be quite cunning, however his immature nature hides the fact most of the time.

    TACTICS

    Sirius is fast on his feet, utilizing his quick speed to attack foes with powerful Fox Fire kicks or punchers. He will also open up with his new magical abilities, firing a ball of magical energy from afar.

    Sirius will often leave a burning paw print as a cooling card, thus his Villainous name The Ember Paw.

    Complications

    Lose end: Lynn Know's that Sirius is Ember which may cause problems if Ember get's publicity as a Villain.

  9. Shui grows as his blast has little to no effect on the thug, but the other thug getting to his feet quickly distracts him. Firing off another blast of water at the now standing thug. However Shui couldn’t help the nagging feeling that something was wrong. Who was that other hero, and why were they spending so much time in the van?

  10. I was hoping to see a post from the other two players in the thread, but I guess they are busy or not interested in finishing the story. Sorry for the hold up.

    I'll advance now.

    No problem MBCE. I've been playing on small Play-by-post sights for almost 3 years now, and I usually find only about 1-2 new arrivals for the year actually stays on the sight, the rest usually stay for a few months before dropping away. But of cores that is just my observations from another sight. ;)

  11. Shui stops for a second, a little supprised that anyone could still be standing after one of his blast's. But than he was weeker in Aarons body, and all thoughs years ago there wern't many 'supers' to contend with. Shui fires anther blast at the stunned thung, attepting to take him out of the fight compleatly.

  12. Hey all, just letting you know I’m still around, (and I check the sight daily) but to do RL and apparent death of the thread I’m in I haven't had much chance to post or do anything else. So just letting you know I’m still around, and I hope to be back in full swing shortly.

  13. Shui runs to the edge of the building and looks down at the street. Not sure who caused the destruction of the building or the cars. Spotting one of the powered thugs near a van Shui fires another full blast at the closet powered thug to him. [L20]

    Unfortnatly, my internet provider broke something, and since i don't have ready access to this computer my posting will be lacking until eather my internet at home is fixed or or changed providers.     oh and as for weapons personally I was going to use the Summon Weapon power in UP ;) (if that’s allowed)

  17. quick question. Is it passable to create a character who can create vehicle's?

    to place it into context I was thinking of a character who can create objects out of thin air, (like Create Object, but with complex items) and i was thinking it would be cool if he could create vehicles as well.

  18. Ah well what’s not to like about small fuzz balls that can eat entire cars, you squash one and two more pop into existence, can spit atomic lugies and one look and you fall in love with it ;) is it just me or does that sound like a Plot X character :lol:

    Anyway I think I have a character concept now. i still need to go through the powers and such yet.

  19. Shui pauses for a split second, before lunging at the closest thug on the roof, his attack only just landing a blow on the thug, despite the awkward attack, shui’s watery claws run deep badly injuring the thug.
