  1. "My my..." Michael mumbled, looking around the Doom Room with a curious expression. "You know I don't often get to practice in here...it'll be fun, I think. Lawrence's been using this place a lot lately."

It felt nice to be in his costume though, the red and white and gold and his swishy cape.

"This is cool though...three different groups of enemies. I mean we could split up, or we could go from one to the other...either could be fun." He paused and waves at Daniel.

"Hi Daniel! Hi Iris! Thanks for giving us a hand with this!" he yelled back, turning to Veuriz and Baz with a grin. "Ah, we're gonna have some fun today, aren't we? This is a new group team up right? Never been just the three of us." He offered a little lopsided grin. "Let's impress and get some nice marks, huh? I'll be relying on you two to cover all my weaknesses."

  2. "Well don't worry, Lynn. I'll teach you everything you need to know. If you're just starting Claremont, then I'll keep an eye out for you. Though I guess if you're related to Lawrence you're probably used to the fancy schmanzy stuff, so that probably won't be as much of a culture shock for you as it was for me. So how about instead whenever you get bored of that stuff I'll help you sneak out. Turn you into a real delinquent." Sam said with a cheerful grin. "Daniel! Do you want to play some!?"

Michael continued to keep his attention on Lawrence, listening with a nod.

"Got it. We'll do our best then. Do you think she's being tracked or something? Her relationship with you might make her a target...not to put unfortunate thoughts into your head, but given how intune with all this stuff, I assume you've already put it in your own head at some point. If she is, well...I'll do what I can, at least. So don't try to hold it all up on your own. We're in this together." he finished, smiling in an attempt to be comforting. "And Daniel and Iris are doing their best to, eh?" he said with a grin at Iris.

"Mizuki's over there. Do you wanna try playing some games with her? I don't know how much time you've been spending with her lately, I know it's been a little while since we've seen each other."

"I....I don't know." The Librarian said, looking between Carmen and Michael. "I uh...I had a book. It was an old book I found at an antiques shop. It was named uh 'The Real Mythology of America'. It didn't come up in any of the searches we had, and the author was unknown. I thought I'd discovered a real, actual piece of history, a book we didn't have recorded in our systems; I did age testing on it and it came up as being a genuine antique. We bought it and brought it back here to get it restored if it needed it, but I felt...I dunno, a calling to read it before we put it away. Books are meant to be read you know? So I decided I'd read it at the exhibition inside, a little surprise reading. Everyone got really excited. And the stories didn't seem that different from the usual tellings, you could still tell who was who. I read through John Henry, Paul Bunyan, and Mike Fink...then I got to William Tell and that confused me, because William Tell isn't actually an American folk hero; he's from Switzerland. So I didn't understand why it was in there, but I was already reading it...and then the little version of him literally climbed out of the pages of the book! He shot a bunch of arrows everywhere then ran off. No one was seriously hurt but I have no idea what's going on. I just...I think this book is responsible." She said, holding out the book in question.

"...Okay, listen, don't worry." Michael said, taking a hold of the book. "You uh...you try to keep everyone calm here. We'll take this book to some heroes that I'm sure are coming by to investigate this, and they'll probably need this book. I'm sure someone will either being it back or put it somewhere safe." He said, looking at Carmen with the puppy dog eyes of 'can we please save the day' even as he picked up the book and flipped through it, taking a look at the art pieces in the book; each missing the main character.

  4. We'll do some gathering information rolls (but not Gather Information unless you want to); give me an IC post of what you're doing, tell me what you're rolling, and roll it, and what you're looking for, and we'll see how you go. Try to stay in the Hospital though, we'll move out of the hospital in a little bit.

  5. (GM Post)

"Dennis...Dennis is..." she frowns and looks to the side a bit.

"Dennis wouldn't do this. Not if it was him. Dennis was a good guy. He volunteered at the local shelter. He coached a local little league team. He'd been employee of the Month at the plant for like three months. He liked camping, went out all the time...he didn't come back this time. We sent out a search party and found him starving, dehydrating, mumbling about some 'cave' he found. We took him back here and he just...slowly withered and died...I almost think it was natural, we didn't get to him in time. But then, after we moved him down into the morgue, that was when things started going bad. One of the people who had brought him in came back, complaining of headaches, exhaustion. Then we just...watched. As he shifted and turned into a copy of Dennis in front of us. And he started freaking out. That was when we started to know something was really wrong. The people who hadn't been touched barricaded on floors they could find, slowly grouping up here. Everyone else turned into Dennis." She mumbled.

"You can access his records though; I'll log you in on this computer. His apparel would be in the storage locker in the room he had been in. 845, two floors up. Please be careful with anything you touch that he was in contact with though. We're really not sure how this spreads. If you need anything, though, let me know."

  6. "Ah! Get back!" Dwayne yelled. "Who are the Metalloids? Are there more of you!?" He tried to chase after the cresture, this time doing his best to not slip and hurt himself, even if it meant going slower. If there were more of them, if the monorail was aggressively electeified, that could be quite bad. He needed to stop this creature, and find these other 'Metalloids'. The best thing to do was probably trying to keep a close eye on this metalloid and keep him busy.

"Please tell me more about your Metalloid allies. If we're going to have fun, surely they should also be here?"

  7. The Galloping Ghost grabbed the little metal man with a whickering neigh, holding him off the metal of the monorail line to try and keep him from running away again. The horse let out a loud nicker, whinnying loudly. He was saying something, but it took a moment for the translator to pick up, letting out a frazzled beep before translating again.

"Why did you make the Monorail crash?" The translator slash transforming gadget finally said, sparking slightly.

Hotshot was still pretty unconscious from being hurled through time by Lawrence, but there's a chirping on the battlesuit's radio as someone patched in.

"The boss is the hunter guy." Spoke the voice. "I'm not getting paid enough to risk all this crap, I wasn't told anything about Superheroes, so you do what you want." Said a female voice before the line cut out.

The remaining drone sizzled, then dropped to the ground, leaving the group alone except for the conquered Esquire. The rumbling grew louder and louder until a pair of T-Rexes burst into the area, roaring a terrible, horrifying roar. But the metal collars around their neck sparked, shorted, then fall apart into pieces, and upon being given free will and wandering into Neko's illusion of terrifying cat creatures, they were animalistic enough to know to follow their base instinct, which is to flee from an unwinnable battle against an infinite army of screaming, yelling cats, so they quickly turned tail and fled, stomping a path through the jungle away from the terrible army of cats.

Suddenly, there was silence, other than the man currently holding his gun against people he couldn't see or hear, utterly unable to do anything.

  9. Man, now I need to figure out what a 28 and a 15 on History get.

so I'll say at the least, 15 is enough to remember the Crimson Katana from History Class; Imperial Japan's most evil Super-Soldier in WW2 and beyond.

Probably Lawrence is also aware of how there's been multiple Crimson Katanas and Katanarchists since, even to the present day. If AA wants to add anything since it's a roll about something relevant to his character that they would know, he should feel free to overwrite me here.

We'll also drop out of combat time.

  10. "Uh...y..yeah." He mumbled, watching the creature go flying.

"...Well. Thanks." he said, offering a smile to the Alien. "We uh...we don't have people like you around anymore. I mean there's some. But the Centurion's dead, Captain Thunder's retired...Obviously the Freedom League is supreme, like Miss Fleur, but uh...I've never seen someone whose got powers like I've got up close before. That was...really impressive, M'am." He finally said before looking around and floating over to Carmen. "Er...excuse me, one moment." he said, bending his head in an apologetic gesture before turning to float over to the Catgirl

"...Are you okay? I'm sorry...I got us all tangled up in something and this was supposed to be our first date." he said to her, rubbing his arm. "...Kind of a bad first showing for me as a boyfriend."

  11. The Galloping Ghost disappeared! He was at a single moment running towards the fireworks truck, then he completely disappeared! Where could he possibly have gone?! It's impossible to know! Well, unless you knew what the whispering, whipping wind beneath the metal man, what the sound of the ghostly, howling wail, what the clattering hooves that seemed to come from nowhere meant! Because those were the signs of the Galloping Ghost, the Equine Ectoplasmic Entity!

The Metal Man was about to find this out first hand, as suddenly, as the little metal man was rushing down the tracks, the howling, clattering and whinnying was coming straight for him! As the Ghost emerged from nothingness in front of the Metal Man and was charging directly at him, intent to run him down under his mighty hooves!

  12. "Ah, I see. Well, I hope we can be welcoming to her. And if she needs anything you can't manage, don't be afraid to ask me or Sam for help, we want to give a hand."

"Don't sign me up for stuff I didn't agree to!" Sam yelled over her shoulder as she played with Lynn. She was clearly impressed with the younger girl's speed and reflexes. "Ah, you're really good Lynn!" She said, apparently deciding seemingly on a whim she was fond of the younger speedster. She could be a bit mercurial after all. "Don't worry about Michael, he's the world's most perfect square. If you ever need anything, trust me to help you out." She grinned as she helped her learn. She could respect her skills, at the very least.

Micahel looked at Iris and Lawrence after that outburst and offered a vague gesture of acceptance at this.

"You don't have to say anything if you don't want to, any friend or sibling of yours is someone I'll look out for, no questions asked." He said with sincerity. He knew abiut Collapse now, he'd seen the monsters that dogged Lawrence first hand, but his voice was just as confident that if this was related, he'd not even need an explanation if he needed help.

  13. Grapple Roll Results 2#1d20+14: 2 # 20 [1d20=6] 15 [1d20=1]

so two drones are Grappled, then thrown into two other drones. Since these are minions, I'll just take 10 on those attacks as well; since the idea is you have taken 10 on the first minions, grappled them, then thrown them as projectiles.

While that's a lot of rolls, it makes since you'd need to do something like that to me, since this is basically making two attacks in a turn, plus since they're minions it's not that bad. So now the drones have to make DC 23 Toughness saves- your Telekinesis Power Rank's damage-

    Toughness Results 4#1d20+8: 4 # 12 [1d20=4] 20 [1d20=12] 28 [1d20=20] 19 [1d20=11]

So that's 3 destroyed Drones, leaving 1 of the 4 okay and one that wasn't targeted. Go ahead and make an IC post @Dracosternand then it's @Avenger Assembled's turn

    Round 3

    Neko: 28, 1HP

    Kazra: 26, Dazed, 2x Bruised

    Timeout: 21, 3HP

Esquire: 21, 1x Bruise, Everyone has Total Concealment from him.

Drones: 13, 2 of them remaining

    Hotshot: Unconscious

    Daniel: 4, Bruise

    Iris: 4 2HP

  14. When the mighty Paradigm casually side-stepped the blow by the Boran creature, Michael pulled back his fist and punched it in the face, doing little more than giving it a bruise- he was no greater fighter yet, after all. He shook his hand to get the feeling back in it after hitting the surprisingly tough creature.

"I can handle this one if there's someone more worth your time, Paradigm. Maybe...I think I can, at least." he said with as much confidence as he could muster.

  15. alright.

    I will continue running in Galloping Ghost and use my Permeate to try and get through the fireworks truck, but that will reduce my speed by half to ~1250mph. I will also try to activate the Concealment power;

    • Concealment 4- All Visual senses [8]

listed under Galloping Ghost. That way I can maybe hide from Metal Man, run past him, and suddenly appear in front of him and spook him further down the tracks!

  16. (GM Post)

"Argh! What do I pay these people for!?" Esquire yelled in frustration at Neko being so close to him but him being unable to perceive him. His bodyguard had done absolutely nothing at all to assist him, and in fact before he had even done anything he'd eaten dirt, pinned and unconscious under Kazra. "All I wanted was to hunt some Dinosaurs and you untended wastrels show up!" he pointed his gun directly down, at the floor of the jungle. "These terrible beasts, how's a little light for you?!" he asked before pulling the trigger. A regular bullet shot out of the gun, but when it impacted the ground, it exploded into a massive burst of light, filling the entire area with a blisteringly bright light that threatened to sear the retinas of all the heroes.

Even so, as that was going on, the Drones, eternally able to avoid the pain of the effects flying around between Lawrence, Neko, and even the man himself, flew towards Neko, attempting to push her away from the man with sharp laser blasts.

  17. Alright, Esquire, the Drones, and then the twins.

Everyone has total concealment from Esquire and he has no idea where anyone is, so he's going to try the same effect on everyone in turn. A General Area Dazzle 10 (Visual)

So everyone gets a DC20 Reflex save to reduce the effect, then if they fail that it's DC 20 Reflex to avoid, or DC15 if you succeed.

Meanwhile, the Drones are gonna try and get Neko off him, so all of them are targeting her.

    Attack Roll Results 5#1d20+6: 5 # 10 [1d20=4] 12 [1d20=6] 19 [1d20=13] 21 [1d20=15] 9 [1d20=3]

If any of those hit, somehow, DC 20 Toughness save from Neko for each.

then it's @Dracostern's turn once I get the IC post.

    Round 2

    Neko: 28, 1HP

    Kazra: 26, Dazed, 2x Bruised

    Timeout: 21, 3HP

Esquire: 21, 1x Bruise, Everyone has Total Concealment from him.

    Drones: 13, 5 of them

    Hotshot: Unconscious

    Daniel: 4, Bruise

    Iris: 4 2HP
