  1. La Puma Negra

Bounding at breakneck speed to another combatant after taking out the one she had been fighting and was now aiming for one of the other Lieutenants that was currently fighting with Golden Star. Then there was a sudden feeling of something coming over her body, like a large invisible hand wrapping around her body where she was frozen in her tracks. It brought her off her feet as she struggled, attempting to steel herself against it, watching now as the last standing Justicar aimed a shot towards her. Helpless to stop it, Puma braced herself, for a shot that didn't come. Instead, Star Khan jumped in front of her, deflecting the shot with his bracers, sending it flying away. Even as she struggled, there was breath of relief thanks to this strange alien stranger.

Now however was the time to escape, and using her intuition, noted the alien creature or being that was targeting her. Puma wasn't going to let it off easy and using her lithe and agile body, somehow managed to slip out of its telekinetic hold upon her. That meant that La Puma Negra was now in full sprint of a new target, and with a pounce like maneuver, slashed at this supposed hound with a fury, appearing to catch it enough off guard.

  2. "A what?" Carmen would respond, thinking that his mother was some sort of monster creature or something and that he had for a moment descended from one. Was her boyfriend in fact partially some sort of bug creature, waiting to devour her and her fellow students. That was foolish of course and quickly she threw such a thought out as he squeezed her hand softly. It didn't matter whom he was or what she was as Carmen saw him as her Michael, and he couldn't be more perfect in any other way for her as she attempted to push forward, closing her eyes and steeling her nerves for a kiss as she pushed herself up to meet him. He was taller than Carmen, pushing up on her tip toes to meet his lips.

Then, without any warning trouble appeared as a tiny man appeared from out of Michaels backpack to interrupt the two of them, "¡Qué mierda!" she lets out as this breaks any sort of attempt she was trying to make, now rather annoyed.

"What's the big deal?" she says, a bit of venom as she her catlike eyes narrowed down on this creature. It looked cartoonish in nature. Strangely proportioned and small. It wasn't natural and only meant for the two of them that they had walked right into more trouble.

  3. 17 on the Grapple so doesn't beat it, still fighting this psychic attack. Realized by rules I can do an Escape Artist check which is higher but will go with what I rolled for now Thev unless it's okay to substitute the modifier, which is just +2 more and would free her. Up to you.

  4. Michael would make Carmen laugh at that sort of idea, "That's soo cheesy... maybe I could do it though in the right place?" she says in response. Him talking her up made her feel confident and secure, Micheal giving the werecat a needed boost whenever he talked her up or was near her definitely made rather a difference in her life, as if Micheal was the perfect good luck charm and confidence booster. In a way, Carmen wished she could be a bit more like he was.

"That'll be nice. Have you ever attended a Catholic mass?" Carmen would ask him as she moved close to him, holding on to one of his hands, curious what they'd do now after finishing their meal together. Fuzzy and soft. Even if she gave a slight appearance of a sort of wild child, Carmen seemed to keep care of herself, especially with all the hair and fur. In fact, over the past few months her dark black head of hair had grown out purposely, now reaching to right to the middle of her back, "I've been talking to a few professors and Patriot. I'm thinking I could get something to do with some government office work. I can't really tell yet. I'll have to do all the independent life transition work when I hit 21."

  5. "I've been thinking about making something myself like that, a bola. I think it would work a lot better in order to deal with stuff at range, besides, I don't need to claw every single bad guy out there, don't I?" she says after a few moments, thinking about some of the concepts she was working on in a class for building such tools and equipment. To say it was a class was overselling it as it was more like a small workshop that she had signed up for offered by some teacher that had spare time on their hands. Bolas, smoke bombs, even a nifty rope thing she had thoughts of working on that were from finished in the slightest.

Carmen would get the message that Micheal didn't want to continue and so did so, wiping her face with a napkin and avoiding any sort of bad habit with her cleanliness after she finished eating. The young woman was growing smarter about her habits, growing up as one could call it that as she discards the sandwich wrappings in a dumpster with a light toss, "I think they would be fine with-it Michael. The pastor and rest of the church think I can relatively keep care of my own," she says while holding to his arm.

  6. It felt like it had been a long time since the two of them had gotten to have a date together or outing, at the least without some form of interruption one way or another. So, to be able to go out with Michael without any sort of interruption spoiling it was a relaxing affair, even if it was to a public venue. A dinner date after school a sandwich place by the library, a simple and easy sort of date that cost nothing other than the price of decent priced hero themed sandwiches, and not a single alien invasion or time anomaly in sight as well.

Carmen had ordered something that was called the Johnny Rocket, a sort of tuna sandwich with lettuce and tomato, alongside some sort of pepper relish that was rather to her own liking. The were-cat girl would even manage on this date between the two would not pick off the vegetables that were on it, a habit that she was told by the school counselor and her pediatrician to try and change. A slow and simple thing that she was working to fix over time, told that it would keep herself fit and active in her rather athletic lifestyle. A simple and easy meal in peace that she would have with her boyfriend, all comfortably out of the way of most prying eyes as to give them a bit of privacy under the shadow of the stone sphinx.

Idly biting into it as they stood together, Carmen would watch him play with the yo-yo, "Only a little. I can't do any tricks, but I can make it work for a while. Think one kid would always get in trouble back home using it like a flail."

  7. La Puma Negra

Eventually backtracking a little bit was how she would eventually see in the short distance the source of the sudden commotion that almost had her squashed like a big by the now decimated hero statue. It was now spotting that source, a form of crash site with a figure laying in it that she increased her pace, an all-fours sprint before she got the woman whom appeared to be in a bit of bad shape. The white hair was definitely something different as she didn't appear that old, sliding down the crate to check on her in a naturally curious and concerned way.

"Hey... are you alright?" Carmen says before prodding her lightly. Whomever this lady was, Puma wasn't familiar with them at all, not outright recognizing them, "I can try and get you help, what's going on here?"

  8. La Puma Negra

Her mind and body had wandered around, looking rather bored as she went from one statue to other. There was plenty of these things, all of different heroic costumed figures of a large variety. It was all somewhat confusing to her, this strange and weird environment, like a look into another sort of future that seemed to exist beyond the comprehension. Michael, or at the least a future version of him as Golden Star was there but she didn't seem to be among the ones made. No future her to look at or critique. Carmen hadn't liked the idea of a statue being made in her honor, thinking it gawdy, but maybe there was something else to it? That would be lost as the statue of someone wearing the costume of the Raven fell down to land right next to her, impacting the ground alongside a blaring siren noise.

Carmen is caught utterly off guard, the sound causing her typical keen senses to be distracted, jumping a little after the statue nearly hit her, "Jeez!" she says, moving towards the darkness where it had come from.

  9. La Puma Negra

Just as Carmen was lined up to grab it, watching it with a relatively trained eye as brought her hands up to catch it. That was before someone decided to use their powers to make it a bit more of a challenge. The ball seemed pause for the smallest of moments, so quick it was that it was barely registerable before. The space between them had expanded and then the space from the ground itself was as well. A smile would now form on her face, a real challenge was to be had now as she got on all four and began to chase after it as it moved with a renewed momentum.

"I got it... I got it... I got it!" she says, jumping up to grab it, the synthetic leather ball sliding into her hands before she came back down to the sandy ground.

  10. La Puma Negra

After slashing through the Omegadrone's throat, Puma would recover with a skid across the pavement, claws digging in after moving at breakneck and superhuman speeds. Black liquid coated her nails and hands as the automaton fell over unmoving and dead as it possibly could be. The fight wasn't over, but it was a brief pause, one which they could take a breath and relax. Puma didn't know how long this would last and where everyone else was as this all felt too real for this to be some imaginary world. It was all far too real.

"Get out alive sounds like a good idea!" Puma says aloud, the smell of liquid was making her uncomfortable.

  11. "Yes... right... codenames," Carmen spoke in response to her mentor, hearing the praises that Patriot was giving her. The young heroine's time with the Patriot had been a hectic one, but not one that wasn't full of vital experience needed in her heroic career. Carmen could also breathe easy as it seemed as though her mentor liked Michael, the first step to success as it was now already achieved. Now it was only just dealing with the many fans here to not only see the baseball game but Patriot herself as well, getting a bonus in seeing two more young heroes alongside her as she left the prized stuffed animal in the office for the time being. This would be a true test far worse than dealing with some interdimensional stellar dragon, alien warlords and royalty, or even space wolves from the moon. In fact, it would far much worse than La Puma Negra could ever have anticipated.

The presenting was fine and all, recognized under her heroic name alongside Micheal, but the real trouble arose when he was introduced as her +1, leading to the easy speculation of what their relationship was alongside holding each other if it wasn't more obvious, "Only a little while... he's a great boyfriend... and hero," she's stammering a bit. If she had taken public speaking as a class she was sure that she would have flunked it at this point. Regardless of what answer was given, Carmen was already uncomfortable with all the eyes on her, sucking it up and holding on to her composure even if the spoken word was less than desired. Other question arose that were a bit more personal, avoiding them the best she could.

"No no, I can't answer that," Puma spoke in response to her and similarities to another former hero, answering it again in much the same way to a local Spanish language reporter. It was the only time her appearance came up as a question, only getting a strange look from the kid that armed wrestled Patriot, "No puedo responder a eso en este momento.... Sí, soy de Puerto Rico. Aguadilla: Señor."

  12. La Puma Negra

It was getting more and more difficult to control herself as she pushed hard into moving, already somewhat panicked from being in the past and a certain person that shared a similar appearance to her. Then there was the invasion of the city itself, the issue of having to see the sheer terror and chaos that was around them as they fought back against the drones. To be here firsthand was different from reading about it in class, and as she bounded over towards Owain and the drone attacking him, Puma was going to make sure that everyone made it back to class in once piece, claws out as she was ready to pounce.

"Raawwwrr!!" she let out with a bestial roar, slashing at another drone with a slash of her claws and a furious blow. Part of her had thought this was the intentions and doings of Quirk, but it was too real, far too real here.

  13. La Puma Negra

The young werecat slashed at the strong-armed alien, claws clashing with the large creature and doing very little against it. This fella would be a lot tougher than some of the other people and creatures she had fought, and she was already pushing herself to the outright limit of what her body could. She had already been hit twice before by gunfire in this battle and now she was making sure whatever weapon this alien had on them wasn't going to hit her, deftly dodging out of the way when took a swing at her. She could feel the breeze created from such a blow pass by her, deftly dodging out of the way like it was nothing to her.

That same agility would be put to the test as she moved to and fro, her footwork a part of a larger feint she was trying to do on the big guy, just as she felt the pain of something trying to burrow into her mind by force. However, it wasn't strong enough to tame her animalistic nature, forcing it out as she made motions as if to sweep the leg from the tough alien she was now fighting to set up what was another slashing claw attack hitting extra hard across the chest.

  14. Puma is going to continue to dance circles around this guy with another attack (as Ive been told to do lol), taking 10 for a power attack with her claws.

  15. La Puma Negra

At the current moment in time, there was near nothing that she could do outside of fight, and at the least that was something that she could fairly well as a student of Claremont. Turns out taking a few extracurricular classes was paying off well, that and the further hours spent on the gymnastics team as she moved with fluid motions and quick speed. That, and combine with the work she had been doing with the current Patriot made it so that she was doing wonders getting rid of another drone. Puma's claws would meet alien metal and design, slashing into another one of them with deadly effectiveness, taking it out quickly before diving back for cover in almost hit and run like tactics.

"These things just don't let up!" she lets out, waiting for a better plan than her own.

  16. "Well then. I guess we can stay with you Patriot..." Carmen says as she braces herself and takes a deep breath again. It all made herself uncomfortable personally, already having to deal with looks while they were out having a bit of fun and games, still clutching on to the stuffed animal that had been squeezed between Patriot and her. The protégé had experienced fighting alongside her mentor, but now Carmen would have to deal with appearing before a packed baseball crazed crowd alongside her. Even with her mentor and Michael by her side, there was still a sense of nervousness to it.

As she moved back towards her boyfriend, she'd slowly notice his own rigidity, his composure locked in place like some army guy she'd seen at the airport once, "Thank you.... I forgot to introduce him to you proper," Carmen says a little flustered, "This is Golden Star. We both attend Claremont together."

"We and a few other students started a study group, and we sort of got together there."

  17. La Puma Negra

Carmen's explorations of the park had been rather uneventful, going as she pleased without the care of some onlooker seeing her. Moving on all fours allowed her to sort of go faster than she was on two feet, only stopping once she got to some of the strange statues. Superheroes, or at the least ones that she didn't recognize littered certain sections of the park, investigating them briefly before moving on to the next one. There was a rather a few as well, and the fact that she didn't recognize any of them was getting to be a point of annoyance for her.

It was there that she saw one that she did recognize, her boyfriend Michaels own statue, a metal monument dedicated to him. Carmen knew that was something he'd possibly want in the future, and this seemed to be it, or at least looked to be it, wherever she was now. Standing there in a crouch, the werecat tilted her head a bit, looking over his strange costume, "We're gonna talk about his fashion sense when I get back," she says her thoughts aloud, uncaring of whom heard. It didn't seem like there was anyone here. Not a single soul as she sniffed the air, trying to get her bearings again.

  18. La Puma Negra

Was moving as fast and deftly as she possibly could, weaving her body to and fro, using her claws to strike hard and quick against these alien soldiers. Even then, that wasn't enough for the barrage of projectiles that shoot through the air, one scoring a hit now across her bare shoulder, grazing her as she twisted and turned through mid air. It was painful no doubt, but that wouldn't stop her now as she now looked over to Michael whom seemed in trouble, "Get away from him!" she'd shout out, moving on all fours again away from the group of soldiers towards where Michael was fighting the axe wielding alien.

Between them however was a different large alien that seemed hellbent on attack her. Puma wasn't going to allow that to happen so instead she attacked first, leaping towards them in a quick and agile feint before delivering a solid series of furious swipes, "Rawrr!!" she'd let out, trying with all her might to do damage to them, but it didn't seem like it did much except make them need likely a tailor to repair their uniform, much to her disappointment, "Take this!!"
