  1. "Multi-frequency commlink. Keep it on you. If you ever need a hand, I'm just a call away," he said in a more civil tone. Even though Kamisorihane was livid with his refusal to continue battling Suzaku, he felt a sort of kinship with the martial artist. "Expect to hear from me soon."

With that, Razorwing merged with the shadows, leaving Suzaku to finish his business.

The machine calculated Wander's death in approximately 4.1 seconds, it's skull-like visage taunting the young heroine. Although it lacked the ability to show surprise, it certainly felt it as she roared and laid a powerful blow to it's chest. The armor shell was heavily damaged now, the brackets holding it's upper torso armor to it's frame had shattered, revealing sensitive inner workings. Before it could react, Wander continued to hammer her fists into the exposed parts, sparks and shrapnel sent flying with each powerful strike, and within seconds the behemoth was nothing more than a heap of scrap laying at Wander's feet.

  3. "Dude, you can hand out a beating, I'll give you that. But if you think I'm just gonna walk aw..." his words trailed off as his mask's commlink beeped. He had it scan for police bands as soon as he approached the bookstore. Raising his left hand to his temple, he activated the device and listened for a few seconds before dropping his hand.

Looks like it's your lucky day. Cops are down the street. They'll be here in thirty seconds."

He had no reason to stick around for the fuzz, and Hua Ling wasn't going anywhere. Kamisorihane screamed for the blood of it's enemy, but Razorwing ignored it. Suzaku was a good guy, and a competent fighter. Just the sort of person he'd been scouting.

He pulled a zippo-sized item from his utility belt and tossed it to Suzaku.

The startled goon caught Calliope's punch right in the mouth, and he staggered back a step. Wiping a line of blood from his lip with the back of his hand, he eyed the young heroine with malice.

"Yeah, ok, bitch, I'll let him know," he replied as he pulled an automatic pistol from his coat and fired at the new hero!

  5. As much as Kris wanted to tell Lynn off, she did make her point. He had come to make peace and explain his actions to the rest of the team, and here he was telling them that he'd be there if they needed him, but not to forget they had ever been teammates. And she was right, there were reasons he felt he needed to leave, though he was leery of saying what those reasons were exactly. He never trusted Doktor Archeville, and he had no doubts that VINCE monitored everything that went on in the house.

"OK, you're right Lynn. Maybe I shouldn't have come back. Maybe I should have just stayed out there shooting at people for money. Maybe I shouldn't have thought that I could do better with my life!"

As soon as the words came from his mouth, he knew he was in the wrong. What he wanted to say was that he regretted what he had done, and falling into his old ways was just a way of getting his head back together. His posture slumped. He had been up for almost three days now, and just narrowly eluded an assassination attempt at the hands of the Seven Shadows' Path before he departed Japan. He was always quick to anger, and exhaustion wasn't helping at all.

He lowered his head so that the bill of his cap covered his eyes. "I'm sorry," was all he could muster, and even then his words were little more than a whisper.

Blue-white kinetic blasts fired at the heroic trio to little effect. Some distance away, police sirens grew louder as they approached the scene, no doubt as the result of a silent alarm. Whoever had sent the machines didn't think the robbery would take this long, or perhaps they hadn't thought that interference from Freedom City's superheroes would be encountered (amateur, or just plain arrogant, you be the judge).

The wardroid's battle chassis showed considerable damage from Wander's barehanded assault, though it was made to take heavy punishment. In retaliation, it whipped around with a speed and grace that belied it's size, took aim at Wander and fireda bolt of force directly into the young heroine's midsection!

A hollow, tinny voice rang out in unison from each of the machines. ::PRIORITY.REALLOCATION.RESUME.OPERATION::

With that, the four undamaged drones returned to the shattered door of the bank and disappeared into the lobby, leaving behind it's damaged counterpart and the wardroid to battle the young heroes!

  7. OK, I've been messing you guys up with an odd way of Posting, so I'll try to clear things up.

    Initiative

    Wander (28)

    Pax (20)

    Cobalt Templar (19)

    Robot Horde (17)

    Current Hero Points

    Wander 1

    Pax 2

    Cobalt Templar 1

    In Brief

Out of the original six robots, one has been destroyed by Wander and another is being severely damaged by Cobalt Templar and Pax. A bigger wardroid has teleported into the melee behind Wander, attacked her, and missed. While Cobalt Templar and Pax are still pounding away at the damaged robot, Wander slips behind the wardroid and does some serious damage to it. Fiating away the stun it blasts Wander (with a crit) and orders the 4 "healthy" robots to make good with the robbery.

After this, I'll try to get my posting in line with "regulation standards" =p Sorry for the inconveniance.

Callipoe's shield hurled through the air, striking the mob goon square on the head, knocking him cold. His associate looked to his friend's fallen form, then to the golden disk that clattered to the ground. Unsure of what to make of it all, he went to pull his gun from inside his suit's vest when a green and gold-clad heroine rushed him from the shadows.

  9. The heel kick struck Razorwing square on the collar bone, crimson embers of hi fire exloding onto his chest, neck, and face. Razorwing stumbled back, reeling from the relentless attack of the Vermillion Bird. He was tired and weak, his body ablaze with agony. He wanted to just call it uits: after all, he came to put Hua Ling behings bars, and Suzaku had already taken care of that.

Sensing it's host's apprehension at continuing the encounter. Kamisorihane loosed a soul-shattering shriek, threatening to drown Razorwing with primal fear if he refused to fight.

    Alright... one more time!

gathering his remaining strength, the young vigilante rushes towards the wall, leaps onto it to run alongside it (and avoiding the Hua Ling-sized hole) and jumps over Suzaku's head, lashing out with a boot to headas he passed and landed in a crouch.

As the joking continued, one of the leg breakers nudged the other one with his elbow.

"Ta hell with this, man, it's cold!" he said as he tossed his half-finished cigarette away. His partner nodded and followed suit, ready to get paid. They were completely unaware that they weren't alone...

  11. Pax looked over to the source of the noise and saw young lady already in motion, pummeling the hulking droid. Bringing his attention back to his own figth and pumped up from watching Cobalt Templar and the heroine clad in blue and gold, he pulled his fist back, ready to deliver a haymaker that was sure to the head off the frail-by-comparison-to-the-hulking-wardroid robot... too bad he swung too hard and missed!

Ahh, man, now these guys are gonna think I'm lame...

  12. Razorwing took a moment to search the unconscious man for the keys to the truck but found nothing. It didn't matter, though. Under Ronin's tutelage, he had been able to hotwire armored personel carriers at the age of thirteen. A busted up truck was child's play.

Hopping into the truck, he ripped the housing off of the steering column and went to work.

The two mooks joked with one another as they stood by their vehicle and smoked. Calliope overheard them agree that they would go inside, clear out the kids, and take old man Dominico's cash drop when they were done with their cigarette. They also commented on how frikkin' cold it was tonight, and what they were going to do to warm up when this was over. "Lewd" and "cheuvenistic" didn't even scratch the surface.
