  1. Mr. Fix-it was attempting to learn as much as he could about the craft and he tried not to let his frustration with immovable the craft affect his analysis. However, his contemplation was explosive interrupted. The event shook the entire area. Fortunately, Mr. Fix-it was only partially human and the rest was far tougher to damage (Fortitude save = 30, Toughness save = 29).

  3. How heavy is the craft/thing? even if the craft is not susceptible to magnetism I could use the cars to "grip" the craft and then lift it if the total weight was less than 50 tons.

  6. While the other heroes talked among themselves, Mr Fix-it tried to formulate a plan for dealing with the craft. His first concern was moving the craft out of the Downtown area before the "thing" inside got out. To determine his options, the cyborg reached out with his magnetic powers to see if the craft was susceptible to his abilities.

  9. Does the space ship and the creature inside weight more than 50 tons? Is the metal susceptible to magnetism? If not, then how many damaged cars are in the area that I could "crush" together and animate into a construct big enough to lift the craft? With Animate Machine 12 (up 180ppts) I can create a Gargantuan construct that looks something like this: Gargantuan: (32-64 feet tall) Str 36, Dex 10, Con - , Int -, Wis 1, Cha 1, Powers: Growth 12 (Inate, Perm); Immunity 30 (Fort effects), Protection 5 (imp), Combat: Atk +1 (w/ -4 from Growth), Damage +13, Defense +1 (w/ -4 from Growth), Init +0, Savings throws: Tough +11, Fort -, Reflex +0, Will -5, Cost: Abilities -36 + Skill 0 + Feats 0 + Powers 77 + Combat 20 + Saves 0 = 61 points I would then dump the rest of the points into Super Strength 10 (or more) to crank up its lifting abilities to a total of 101 (36 + 15 from Growth + 50 from Sup Str). This could be simulated by Mr Fix-it adding additional metal and supports to the construct to strengthen its structure and carry capacity.

  12. “Your interpretation of the crash sounds like it matches information I acquired during my initial scans of the craft…. I detected a ‘moving’ object or 'thing' near the center of the craft… as you said, like the out ship swallowed it.†Mr. Fix-it then looked toward the craft and tried to make a guess at it weight. “I think our best strategy may be to move the craft away from the downtown area. If the ‘thing’ inside the ship were to get out… I fear many more innocent people will be in danger.†Mr. fix-it then notices the small bird looking girl searching through the rubble. “It would appear the scene is attracting more heroes. I’m not sure that girl should be getting so close to the craft…â€Â

  15. Mr. Fix-it was a little disturbed by the abrupt rebuttal he received from the craft. “Hmm… That was rude.†Seeing the police line and the arrival of a hero, Mr. Fix-it descends to street level. The silver skinned hero stopped the street sign he was using as a surf board about 20 feet off the ground. He then took a knee on the piece of metal and called out to the other hero. “What is happening? Where did this craft come from?â€Â

  18. [Howdy – Companyman checking in with Mr. Fix-it, PL10 Hero] Professor Timothy Box was walking across the Freedom City University campus discussing recent developments in artificial intelligence with one of his students. “The biggest hurdle for developing a truly independent entity is getting the AI to recognize itself. The levels of programming and sensing tech have advanced well beyond the necessary requirements. However, self awareness is still the biggest hurdle…†Professor Box pauses a moment. Unknown to the student, Box was receiving an alert on his internal radio receiver. In an almost mechanically calm voice Professor Box reengages in the conversation, “Jim, you will have to excuse me… It seems there is a problem in Parkside. Hopefully, we can continue this discussion when I get back…†Professor box then glances around the surrounding area. A large “No Parking†sign suddenly unscrews itself from its support poles and floated toward the professor. Professor Box stepped on to the sheet metal and began to ascend into the air. “And remember Jim, you still owe me a 10 page paper if you want that extra credit.†Jim’s response was lost in the rush of air as Professor Box sailed toward Parkside. He quickly stowed his remaining lecture notes in a hidden compartment in his left forearm. Box now looked much more like his hero persona, Mr. Fix-it, as he surfed toward the “downed aircraft.†From a high altitude, Mr. Fix-it to scan the area for what was causing the alert. The crashed saucer looked a little out of place even for Freedom City. Mr. Fix-it uploaded the image of the saucer into his memory and noted the dimensions and makeup of the craft. He then attempted to “communicate†with any devices within the ship.

  21. PbP is notoriously slow and made even slower if a player is not participating. I would suggest it depends on the posting rates of the other players. However, if one player is delaying the action, give him three days. If there is still no posting, then you should run him as an NPC for a turn and let things move on. If that happens on more than one turn (so no posts in a week or more, in a fast paced game) then you may want to consider replacing him.
