Paradigm Shift (aka the Courtship of Paradigm)
Paradigm Shift: When a Stellar Khanate cruiser arrived at Coalition Victory Station seeking an audience with the Coalition Council, Traveller, Moon-Moth and Galvanic of the Praetorians were dispatched to the vessel along with a Lor science officer Rex-01 to inspect the warship and ensure this was not another trap, as with the last Khanate diplomatic visit. The Praetorians were surprised to find that not only was the vessel effectively unarmed, it was transporting Kinarr Khan, the only surviving son of Kinan Khan, who announced himself as the new Star Khan and ruler of the Stellar Khanate following his father's death. After being escorted before the Coalition Council, the young Star Khan extended an offer of peace with the Lor Republic and Coalition, before turning to ask Paradigm for her hand in marriage. With some assistance from Imperatrix Th'emme, Paradigm was able to avoid having to respond to the proposal immediately. As discussions began on the proposed peace treaty (and accompanying trade agreements), the young Star Khan decided he needed to go out to perform great deeds to prove his worth.
Blind Man’s Bluff: Eclipse and Rock had been hired to act as the bodyguard for a Lor ambassador on Thuarus, a former Khanate world struggling for its freedom against a former Khanate Justicar. As the Justicar's delegation was approaching the meeting place for the final ceasefire discussions, the new Star Khan dropped down onto the scene, ordering the renegade Justicar to withdraw his forces and relinquishing any claim on Thuarus. The former Justicar orders the forces he had nearby to attack, springing a trap he had planned to use to eliminate the leaders of the Thuarus government. The combined efforts of Eclipse, Rock and the new Star Khan are able to deal with the renegade Justicar and his forces, ending the conflict on Thuarus.
Shoaling Patterns: When massive spacefaring megafauna known as the Sarcota began engendering energy production operations on the Lor world of Ferrum II, renowned space hunger Starshot and Terran scientist Doctor Archeville were brought in to assist. While beginning their investigation of the Sarcota, the new Star Khan arrived on the world to offer his assistance as well. The trio soon found their way to caverns in a mountain range the Sarcota were gathering around, where they uncovered a coven of Grue Arcane, which appeared to be engaged in rituals that were attracting and attempting to control the Sarcota. Managing to drive off the Grue Arcane, the new Star Khan, Starshot and Doctor Archeville managed to guide the now freed Sarcota away from Ferrum II and back to their natural migration routes.
Aphelion: When a rogue asteroid was detected on a collision course with the plane Korus, the world's local hero, Space Ranger III, reached out to the Star Knights for assistance. The order sent two Star Knights, Kyle Steward of Earth and Kath'lana, to assist Space Ranger. As the three were investigating the asteroid, the new Star Khan arrived, offering his assistance as well. Despite being cautious of the Khan (particularly given Steward's experiences at the Battle of Lor Van during the Incursion), the four worked together to uncover that the asteroid had been diverted onto its collision course and tracked that course back to discover it was the work of a group of nihilist from Korus that were looking to unleash a cataclysm on the world to allow for its civilization to reset and return to its ancient glory.
Deciding to travel to Earth to seek further opportunities to prove himself there, Star Khan soon arrived in Earth, arriving in orbit on Valentine’s Day, followed closely by several of the Praetorians: Paradigm, Traveller, Moon-Moth and Galvanic.
Written in the Stars: While Velocity was given Artificer and Ghost a tour of the Lighthouse, the starship carrying Star Khan was detected entering Earth orbit. The Praetorians arrived shortly after, and while Paradigm continued down to Earth to locate the new Star Khan, Traveller, Moon-Moth and Galvanic met with the Freedom League members (including Gaian Knight and Patriot II) to explain the situation and obtain their assistance in locating the Khan. While monitoring the situation, the renegade Boran prince Sovereign arrived in orbit aboard a battle cruiser, aided by several of the old Star Khan’s hardline followers, seeking to assassinate the new Star Khan so Sovereign could seize control of the Stellar Khanate. As Sovereign and a small force travelled down to Freedom City to attack the Kinarr Khan, the gathered League members and Praetorians, together with Justicar Vor'an attacked Soverign's cruiser, quickly overwhelming the gathered forces aboard and capturing the vessel.
Dance Beneath the Stars: While the members of the Young Guardians were enjoying a team building exercise at a laser tag park, they were interrupted when a group of supervillains attacked an AEGIS convoy transporting Mindfire back to Blackstone. Engaging the villains, the fight initially was not going well for the young heroes, with the villains seemingly gaining the upper hand. The new Star Khan suddenly arrived to assist the young heroes, quickly tilting the scales and before long the Young Guardians had turned the tables on their opponents, capturing all the villains and preventing Mindfire's escape. Kinarr departed not long after to look for more opportunities to prove his worth.
Star-Crossed?: Claremont students Golden Star and La Puma Negra were making plans for their Valentine's Day date, and the hero Predator was enjoying a afternoon at a local park in Riverside, when the villain Explodo the Great set off an explosion in a nearby apartment building. The three heroes reacted to the incident, arriving just as the new Star Khan did as well. While Predator and Star Khan engaged Explodo, Golden Star and La Puma Negra helped evacuate the apartment building. As Explodo was defeated, Fleur de Joie and Paradigm both arrived, managing to convince Kinarr to stop his quest to prove himself. While the group were talking, they received word of the arrival of Sovereign. Knowing that Sovereign might react violently if he was unable to locate Kinarr, a plan was made to engage the Boran and his forces in an isolated area while the Freedom League members and Praetorians aboard the Lighthouse captured Sovereign's cruiser to cut off any escape.
Star-Crossed II?: Relocating from Riverside, Paradigm, Fluer de Joie, Predator, Golden Star, La Puma Negra and the new Star Khan waited by the Doomforge for Sovereign and his forces to arrive. After a quick, but intense fight, the Sovereign and his forces were soon dealt with and Star Khan agreed to return to CoVic Station with the Praetorians to ensure finalization of the peace treaty his ambassador had been negotiating with the Lor Republic and Coalition worlds.
Epilogue-Sabbatical: Paradigm and Kinarr vacationed on a ocean world within the Lor Republic, taking a break from the work Kinarr had begun in instituting reforms within the Stellar Khanate (which included dealing with those old hardliners that had preferred his father's way of running the Khanate, which included several powerful intergalactic criminal syndicates), while the two got to know each other better….
