Of course, Kyle Conners currently worked as a freelance reporter, but he often found it useful to be around the office when the meeting got out. It certainly never hurt to be seen from time to time and being around after the staff meeting could lead to an assignment or two as the stories that still needed to be covered were fresh in the minds of the editors
