Honestly Seika had fun climbing that cliff. Her long limbs and strong hands serving her well. She was born for this type of thing. Like all the females of her kind she was a natural climber. It was easy enough even for her to hold with one hand and look back at the others to make sure all of them were getting safely to the top. She was all smiles and pointed teeth when the others came over the top behind her. "Seika not think this planet so bad." She laughed, dusting her hands off as she turned toward the jungle ahead of them. It would seem her expertise might serve them well here. "Do any ones know where other ships crashed? Sei did not see where they fell."

For Bliss this was an opposite of a problem.  She liked these sorts of things, they made her happy. Doing things made her happy, soothed the agitation she nominally had.  While it was rare for her to have her body exposed to any degree she had mass, she had density to her form.  Even without the aid of the tendrils she was strong.

"Next time Ruby just latch onto my back."  It wasn't a rebuff, she could have climbed that cliff  relatively quickly in that fashion.  She turned and sniffed at the air for the sent of... well ship, really.

IT was one of those times Ruby wished she had spent more of her credits on the Jet Pack modification for her armor. It would make traversing mountainous terrain a lot easier. "And leave us exposed to attack with no way of fighting back? Never." She stated. Wasn't much of a rebuttal, she really did not like the idea of being shot at and being unable to retaliate in some way.

She kept her rifle up as she looked ahead. Her helmets Thermal imaging activating to look into the forest. Either she will see flames and cooling metal. Or someone waiting in ambush.

Bliss' attempts to try to pick up any sign of the crashed fighter by scent proved fruitless.  After going back over the pursuit by the fighters, Ruby had a general idea of the direction that the other fighters had gone down.  She also estimated it might be a couple of miles before they reached the first crash site.  Hopefully the first one would prove more useful than the one down in the canyon.

With a general direction to go on, Seika started off, leading the small group as they made their way through the dim forest.  Her sharp eyes glancing about to look for any sign of danger.

"Don't go anywhere now."  Roulette taunted the ship's captive after getting Ruby's earlier warning.  He wasn't sure if the ship's weaponry was active.  But, it couldn't hurt to get in the cockpit and stay on alert.  It didn't matter whether their attackers were  looking to free this guy, or get revenge on the Voidrunners for a different bounty.  Roulette had absolutely not plans to get shot by some thug's blaster.

"This job is proving more expensive by the second.  Life was easier when I was conning crooks and low lifes for credits"    In reality, his life was no less tumultuous.  He was just looking at the past with a rose tinted visor.  Even if his bedroom could provide a method of escape it had no defensive capability.  So if there were ships lying in wait an escape pod would be a poor travel method.

Time seemed almost to drag to a stand-still as the three Voidrunners moved through forest in the direction of one of the other crash sites.  While the terrain was relatively easy to move across, trying to move as quietly as possible was still slow going.

And even going slow, Bliss was not doing a particularly good job of being quiet.  To Seika's ears, the Xuli'pa might as well have been banging metal utensils together as she walked.

But after about an hour of moving slowly toward the crash site, Kahi'iru heard some other noise up ahead of them that stood out from the normal sounds of the forest.  It sounded like a number of individuals moving over behind a rise, but how many was difficult to determine....

Seika was a stalker, a hunter. Moving quietly, keeping her senses alert for danger, these are just the things she does. It's part of why they have her in this crew. She may not have been the most knowledgeable of people but she was good at what she does.

As they traveled, dei decided that maybe Bliss should stick with what she was good at as well. Quiet she was not. It made their efforts at stealth mostly pointless.

Only mostly.

Suddenly alert to the sound, Sei crouched down behind a tree as a low hiss, meant to be a shush, rattled in her throat. She held her hand up for the others to know to stop.

She turned toward them, her free hand pointing forward. He voice was low and hushed. "Sounds like others maybe.... Like ones pushing through the green."

Ruby would have groaned if she was not worried about giving away her own position. She made a mental note not to bring bring Bliss onto a planet with ultra-deadly fauna. Stomping around like she was can get one killed. None the less she kept as quiet as possible while scanning the surroundings for anything.

Ruby didn't hear anything, but she lacked any enhanced hearing systems. "Try to get around and flank them Seika." She told her reptilian companion while she moved to do the same. Using Bliss as a distraction but she was confident she could handle whatever they could throw at her..

Seika wasted no time in drawing her bow. She kept low, crouched, allowing her natural coloration and dark clothing to help hide her among the foliage. She pulled the hood of her top up over her head, hoping to minimize any sheen from her scales.

She moved quickly, quietly, shifting between points of cover and trying to get a better read on what they were facing.

Seika moved off to one side to circle around, her desire to be stealthy slowing her slightly, but then she was far quicker than most humanoids.  But even as the tall Kahi'iru disappeared into some vegetation, she heard the approaching figures increase their speed, apparently having heard Bliss and trying to close quicker.

Even as she adjusted her path to compensate for this change, the first of the creatures came into view of Bliss and Ruby.  It was the same type of alien as the pilot they had encountered in the canyon near one of the crashed fighters, but more heavily armored and armed, clearly a ground soldier of some sort.  Two others came into view just behind it, as they snarled at the two bounty hunters and readied their weapons.

Seika moved into a position where she was able to see four of the heavily armed and armored aliens, spaced out and moving in the direction of Bliss and Ruby.
