This Concludes Our Broadcast Day [IC]

Caradoc drove his blade deeper, twisting it in the wound he'd made. Black energies suffused the creature more deeply now, straining worms of shrieking black entropy that wriggled and writhed through half-there flesh, growing and warping together in a hideous, rapid transformation that saw the creature finally not explode but vanish - glowing a single, terrible, impossible shade of black as unholy energies outlined its every inch, replacing the matter and energy that made up its body like a horrible parody of fossilization. When the beast was finally gone, Caradoc pulled his blade free and it disappeared, leaving behind only an unpleasant-looking burn mark on the floor below.

As the beast vanished, Caradoc stepped back, his blade still out, as if waiting for another attack from some hidden, unknowable source.

Oracle looked puzzled as the telekinesis lost its grip, doing a mental equivalent of a stumble. She began immediately casting about with her senses, making sure it hadn't somehow escaped, seeing if she sensed anything nearby.

"I no longer have it contained - was it destroyed? Or did it turn itself back into a signal and escape? What was that thing, anyways?"

The teenager finally allowed herself to shudder, taking in a few deep breaths. It was not a fun night at all. She looked over the room for possible clues, seeing if she can learn anything - but touched nothing since she didn't want to interfere with the authorities when they arrived. Gradually, her shimmering yellow aura faded, but didn't disappear completely. She closed her eyes, and when they opened they violet again instead of solid gold.

"And what's the procedure for reporting... this?"

Typed the whole thing in present tense, had to fix it.

"It is destroyed," replied Caradoc, his mechanical voice flat as he moved his blade from hand to hand, the glowing blue blade seeming to weighted oddly in his big hands, his eyeless steel face never stopping its scan of the room. In the aftermath of the fight, the armored knight was standing tall and erect, as if all his cybernetic muscles had been pulled tight. "I will see that a report is made to Archetech, the Freedom League, and other relevant agencies. No incursion from the Terminus must be allowed to go unfought." He fell silent and still, like a mechanical statue next to Oracle and Cannonade. "Thank you for what you have done here today. You have served your home dimension well."

"Yeah, um... yeah," said Cannonade. "Glad to get that thing the **** out of here." Now that the adrenaline was flooding out of him, that deep feeling of existential uncertainty was starting to come back. The Terminus had been here, in miniature. He knew how it operated on the wide scale, usually with skies on fire and people screamjng. Seeing it putting on nightmare drag and just waltz into the world didn't really make it better... but seeing that it could be put down did. Just a little.

He looked around the room once more. "Part of me wants to find out just what the hell was going on here," he said. "It's the same part of me that wants to lick a wall socket. Do we call the Freedom League about this? Make sure they get specialists out here so some other hell broadcast doesn't come through?"

Oracle rubs her temples, allowing her force field to go down. "Ugh. I will pass on what happened her to my instructors at Clairmont - no doubt they'll want to hear about it too. Lives lost, hopes ruined, dinner late and probably extra homework writing up an essay about tonight's activities."

The teen will use her phone - hopefully, she knows who she's supposed to report these sorts of things to. What little she knows of the Terminus is enough - she really doesn't want to go into greater detail.

"I am starting to develop a discernible dislike for this Terminus thing." Sarcasm, seems to be the teen's last mental defense though. She offers the two heros her contact information, in case they need to reach her.

"I'm going to teleport home. Sorry, but I'm not strong enough at gating to teleport more than myself right now. Contact me, if you need me."
