While Warp went to secure three men unconscious on the walkway, Tsunami had focused on those floating in the water, using her power to create a current that brought them all together.  At the same time, she had brought over all the mesh nets containing the Deep Ones, and corralled a pair that had managed to claw themselves free.

As Warp opened her portal and mentioned leaving it open, the Asian teen considered all of the men she had gathered up.  "That would be fine.  You might as well take all of them as well."  She stated, indicating the unconscious men.  "Otherwise I would have to send a lot of water through the portal to move them all."

Warp stared at the collection for a moment before shrugging accepance. She let her portal fall to pieces and knelt down in the water and laid her hands on the pile of bodies, sucking them all away to squat a while in her little private world. She did not know what it looked like in there, and when someone had offered to go look they had come back white-faced and stammering. Hopefully the henchmen wouldn't wake up inside it.

Now the water was nearly at her hip, and a very primal part of her that did not remember teleporting was screaming panic. With an unsteady breath she ripped open a portal the Deep One exhibit again, though this time to keep it above the water she had to put it so high stepping through would be awkward. She looked back over her shoulder as she was halfway into the rip, blinking for better visibility through the emergency lights. "See you on the other side," Warp said, and vanished into the void.

As the water continued to rise, Tsunami was walking on its surface as she caused a large globe of water to rise up into the air.  Inside were the other nets containing the Deep One infants, as well as the pair that had gotten free already, who began swimming around in the globe.

As Warp opened the portal once more, the Asian teen gave a nod to the other teen.  "I will be right behind you."  She replied.  Once Warp went through, Tsunami waited a few moments, and then made her way through the portal, her water globe following along with her.

The Deep Ones in the mesh net Warp was carrying were trying to claw their way free as she stepped through her portal.  On the other side she found the room for the Deep Ones' exhibit filled with several aquarium staff members, who were gathering the Deep Ones still there, picking them up carefully.

There were also a number of police officers in the room, several securing the three mercenaries Warp had knocked out earlier, but there were a few gathered around her portal, watching to see what came out of it.  But, they did not have their guns drawn, though their hands were near them, just in case.  They relaxed visible when they saw the teenage girl appear.

A pair of staff members who had also appeared to have been waiting to see what stepped through the portal moved forward.  "Thank heavens, you were able to rescue them.  Did you manage to get the..."  He stopped in midsentence as Tsunami stepped through, her globe of water following with her.  The Asian teen gently released the water in the globe onto the floor, freeing all the Deep Ones that had been swimming around inside it or were still trapped in the mesh nets.

Warp gave her gathering audience a wave and a cheerful smile. Velocity had said that it took her a long time to get the trust of the police, and Warp was seeing that; but they were already treating her better. Walsh's endorsement on air had given her one helluva head start. She set the net down gently on the floor and stepped away, still wary of their needle-teeth. "Yeah," she said, putting both hands on her waist and watching Tsunami slowly lower the rest to the ground. "I think we got them out okay."

"There's a submarine in the river the bad guys used to get close, by the way." Warp pointed her thumb lazily toward the hole in the wall. "We kinda sorta sank it so it's not going anywhere, but still. Figured someone oughta know."

The aquarium personnel were very relieved to see the other Deep One infants, moving over to them and opening the nets to let out the crying creatures.  The police officers nearby seemed a bit troubled by the Deep Ones, and instead focused their attention back on the two teenage superheroines.

"A submarine?"  One said, looking at the portal Warp still had open.  At that moment, water began to lap through the portal.

"It was taking on water."  Tsunami replied.  "It appears that it is getting higher.  Perhaps it is best to close the portal now.  We managed to get all the criminals we knew of off save the leader."  The Asian teen looked over to Warp, her look suggesting it was likely time to hand over the captured mercenaries to the police.

Warp turned and saw the water spilled out onto the floor, a guilty look flashing across her face. "Yeah," she said, hurriedly. "A submarine." She cut support to the thing and it mended shut behind them, no longer trying to empty the bay into the roof of the museum.

"We didn't get the leader," Warp restated, catching Tsunami's eye, "but we got the rest." She held out her hands and bloated darkness fell from their tips, solidifying into witless bodies dressed in wetsuits. "It sounded like someone was paying them to get the Deep Ones. Any clue who these guys are?" She gave the pile of bodies a look and crossed her arms, expression souring. "And who might've hired them?"

One of the police officers put in a call about the submarine so that police boats and divers could get out there to locate it.  When Warp dumped all the unconscious mercenaries into the room, the other officers all looked rather surprised but quickly moved over to begin handcuffing them.

"Wow, you girls sure cleaned up a lot of these guys."  One of the officers commented while handcuffing an unconscious mercenary.

The officer that had been talking to the two was taking notes about what they had to say and shook his head at Warp's question. "No, no idea who these guys might be, least not yet.  We will probably be contacting other law enforcement agencies, both federal and maybe even international.  As for who might have hired them, we have even less of an idea about that."  He glanced down at some of the unconscious men.  "Maybe some of them might feel like talking."

The officer then took statements from the two, not asking for anything more than their identities as Warp and Tsunami.  When he had finished, he looked over at the two teenage heroines. "Well, thanks for everything.  This could have gone much worse if you two had not been here.  There are reporters and photographers starting to swarm around outside, so you might want to make use of those portal things you do to get out of here without attracting attention."

"Thought so." Warp scowled down at the kidnappers as though expecting the answers to crawl out of their ears to appease her. It was times like this shewished she'd happened on an instance for pulling secrets out of unwilling heads rather than peeling the world apart. It would have been useless to tell them to find her when they did get the secret. She needed a signal or something.

It was getting pretty typical to stay after and leave the police a report of what'd gone on, but that didn't help Warp find it more interesting. When the officer suggested they get gone Warp's expression split open into a wide grin. "Good plan," she said. Warp thought of Claremont, waved her hand and the portal ripped reality down a seam.

"Thank you officer."  Tsunami replied to the policeman she and Warp had given their statements to, give a small bow with both hands together in front of her.

When Warp opened one of her portals, the Asian teen took one last look around at the scene around them and then stepped through the portal.  Moving out of the way for Warp to follow, Giang glanced around the Claremont campus for a moment and then looked over to her companion.  "Should we go report this incident to the Headmaster?"  She asked, uncertain what was required when something like this happened to students at the school.

It took Kat about ten seconds to let the portal close and switch back out to her civvies. The Claremont kids nearby didn't spare her a second glance as she made the switch back to her heartbreaker shirt. She thought a moment. "Not sure about should," Kat shrugged. If they were supposed to report back to Claremont every time they brought down the hero hammer on someone then, well, she'd been doing it wrong. "But I can't imagine it would hurt." She held out a hand, redness creeping behind her eyes as Giang's backpack remateralized, hanging in Kat's fingers by a strap. "Maybe we could get an extension! 'I'm sorry we were trying to research our project but then we had to fight armed gunman and we didn't see the swordfish.'"

Giang took the offered back pack with a small nod.  "Thank you."  She then smiled as Kat mentioned possibly using the incident as a means of getting an extension on the due date for their report.  "I suppose we could try, but the Headmaster may respond that maintaining the current due date provides a lesson on learning how to balance and fulfill ones other responsibilities with those of being a hero."

The two teenagers stared off across the campus towards the temporary officer for Headmaster Summers while the administrative building was repaired following the events of the Day of Wrath.
