Back down on the main floor, the last remaining gunman glanced around scattered unconscious bodies of his companions for a brief moment before focusing back on the teenage girl in front of him.  Raising his pistol, his hand shook slightly as he tried to steady his aim and track the movements of the agile teen.  But the shot went wide, missing Tsunami by a good bit and hit the wall behind her.

Up on the second floor balcony, the remaining gunman facing Warp turned towards the teenager and swung his sub-machinegun at her.  But his attack was rather clumsy, as Warp easily ducked underneath his arm.

After hearing the bullet whiz past her, Tsunami rushed forward towards the remaining gunman she was facing.  Ducking down under his outstretched hand, her right hand came up above her head, pushing the hand up slightly as she stepped in towards him.  The Asian teen's left hand then shot straight up, connecting directly beneath his chin with an open palm strike.

The force of the blow knocked the man backward a foot or two as his head snapped back.  He crashed down onto the wet floor with a slight spray of water, his pistol falling from his hand as he slipped into unconsciousness.

The teenager stood back upright, glancing around her a moment to be sure there were no more threats.

Warp's portal was still in place, the crowd of visitors waiting to make their way through greatly diminished at this point, with some now just making their way towards to front exit now that there seemed to be no further threat for the moment.  Just then alarms began to sound inside the main tank, as hundreds of bubbles began rising up from the bottom of the tank as the emergency draining system activated and tunnels to guide the animals into the lower habitats opened as well.

Warp dodged under his strike easy and drove her fist right where the liver was supposed to be. The clumsy gunman's gasp was distorted through his respirator, and Warp had to dance away to keep the larger man from falling on top of her. And just like that, the problem was gone.

No, she thought, looking up, remembering the rumbles of a strange explosion beneath her feet. Not yet. She wasn't sure what the madman with an aquatic theme had against marine life, but she imagined it was about more than breaking glass and terrifying tourists. She took off back up the stairwell at a dead run further up the stairwell praying that here, at least, there wouldn't be more civilians.

After knocking out the last of the gunmen on the second floor balcony, Warp started back towards the central stairwell to continue on up to the third floor.  She had made it about halfway up to the third floor balcony when yet another muffled explosion sounded from up on the third floor somewhere.

Down on the main floor, Tsunami looked up at the sound of the other explosion.  With no further threats visible down here and most of the civilians evacuated so far, she sprinted towards the central stairwell that Warp had gone up, bounding up the stairs as quickly as she could.

Another quiet BOOM came through to Warp's ears. She bit down on her lip and raced up the steps. If this had been a bank, or a big business, Kat could have guessed the motive. Understood the reasoning and moved on to stopping it. But why would anyone decide to play domilion man in an aquarium? If they were eco-terrorists, then they were doing a pretty awful job of keeping animals safe. Maybe they were just from PETA.

Kat caught a glimpse of Tsunami rounding the bend as she took the turn up the stairs; she could make a good guess as to what that meant. "Everyone get out safe?" Kat called down, never slowing, still holding the portal open.

Tsunami glanced up as Warp called down, asking if all the civilians had managed to clear out yet.  "Almost."  The Asian teen called up as she continued running up the flights of stairs after the other girl.  Meanwhile, the water in the main tank continued its emergency draining, as many of the animals in the tank were starting to make their way down through the exit tunnels and into their habitats below the pier.

When Warp reached the third floor off the aquarium, she found it quite deserted, no wetsuit clad gunmen or, thankfully, civilians in sight.  As she looked off in the direction she had seen the guy with the exploding speargun spears go, the teen realized he seemed to have been heading off towards the direction of the Deep Ones exhibit.

Almost, Tsunami said? Then Warp would give them another few seconds before she let the hole close. Until then, it was straightforward foot-to-ground movement all the way.

It took Warp a bit of thinking before she picked a direction, hoping she'd remembered right and she'd find the bignasty before one of his explosions told her she'd guessed wrong. Her boots squeaked slightly against the floor as she made the turn down the hall and dashed, lit by the dappled light from the tanks on either side as her footfalls sounded through the aquarium.

Warp sped down the hallway, intent on catching up with the speargun welding man before he could cause too much more damage to the aquarium.  The main tank was still draining, but the other tanks still had their normal water levels, though many of the sea creatures in the exhibits had moved out of sight of the glass walls.

As Warp rounded another corner, down the hall she could see the doorway that led to the Deep Ones exhibit.  For some reason, there appeared to be a bit more light down there than she remembered from when she and Giang had been there earlier.  She could also make out a pool of water that had formed by the doorway, apparently from within the exhibit room.

Tsunami continued running up after Warp, managing to make it up onto the third floor just in time to see the other teenager girl disappearing down the hallway that led towards the Deep Ones exhibit.  The Asian teen took a moment to glance over at the main tank a moment to see that thanks to the emergency draining the water level was now getting close to passing the hole that was currently patched by water she was holding in a solid state.

Focusing back on the direction Warp had gone, Tsunami started forwards, hoping she would be would not be too far behind the other teen when she ran into the apparent leader of this assault.

Warp made the final push through into the Deep One's exhibit and found herself staring down the barrel of a gun. She guessed the trajectory and slipped to the side, as the henchman attached to the other end pulled the trigger, and heard the hiss of bullet cutting through air beside her as she took in the scene.

They'd broken into the exhibit already; there was water all over the floor from where it'd spilled after someone had bolwn a hole in the side of the glass. Warp could make out five of them; two regular goons standing guard, and two rifling through the tank, while their friend with the fancy speargun was standing out there, waiting for other people to bring whatever his stupid plan was to fruition.

With a thought she pulled the knife that kept her wound in the world open and brought her power back close. Her eyes glowed red, and she vanished into inky darkness.

In a moment, she appeared behind the man who'd fired on her, drove an elbow into his back and was gone before he hit the water. She appeared disappeared, a flurry of legs from unexpected places striking here and there . . . only one henchmen in the tank managed to weather the storm. The one in the fancy suit stepped aside at the last moment, leaving Warp with a handful of air.

She appeared back where she'd started, her boots making a soft sloshing sound in the water. "Kidnapping, huh? It takes a different kind of villian to steal children." Warp raised a fist in readiness for a fight and bared her teeth.

Dodging aside as Warp appeared near him and tried to attack, the tall man in the stylized wetsuit glanced around a brief moment before looking back over at the slim teenager.  "Nice moves girl."  He stated while one hand reached down to grab something from his belt which he then threw at her.

The object opened up to reveal a steel mesh net that coursed with an electrical charge.  The man proved rather accurate with the net, as the steel mesh wrapped tightly around Warp, pinning her arms to her side and her legs together.  The electrical current coursed through her, but she was able to resist its effects as the charge was spent, but she fell to the wet floor, unable to move due to the net.

"Forget the rest."  She heard the man call out to the remaining gunman.  "Our employer will just have to be satisfied with those we got already."  Turning her head as best she could, Warp could see the tall man making his way over to the hole in the wall, taking up one of the ropes that hung out.

She then heard someone sloshing in water as the gunman in the tank that had managed to shake off her attack made his way out and over to the hole in the wall as well, taking up the other rope.

Tsunami sprinted in the direction that Warp had gone.  As she rounded the corner of the hallway, she could sense the water that had been spilled out of the Deep Ones exhibit tank, causing her to wonder why these men were after those infants.

Skidding along the surface of the thin layer of water that covered the floor at the entrance to the exhibit, she saw the hole in the wall, with the man who had fired the explosive speargun spear and one of his gunmen about to repeal out.  The Asian teen also spotted Warp just a short distance away, bound tightly in what appeared to be some sort of steel mesh net.

The main tank had still not drained down far enough to allow her to release the seal she had put in place, so Tsunami had no real means of ensuring the two villains did not make good their attempt to escape, at least for now.  So she instead rushed over to the nearest unconscious gunman, the one who had shot at Warp when she had appeared in the door to the exhibit, and knelt down to draw out his combat knife from it sheath.

Warp was ready to give it another go when chief fisherman decided to take her out. The net wrapped around her, tight as you please, and Kat fell forward to the floor, splashing aquarium water all over her face. She grimaced looked up in time to see the kidnapper start his repel down his convenient escape hole. "Oh no," Kat hissed, squirming uselessly in the net for an angry moment. "You don't get to do that."

Her hand coiled around the metal mesh and Kat reached deep. For a long moment she was simply standing there, eyes closed, hands clenched around the mesh. Then darkness coiled out of her arm and over the net, the stuff of entropy flaring up all over the net, rising like fire over her body as it flickered over the net, eating through the metal, leaving gaps here, there . . . Then there were more empty spaces than binding wire, and she felt the integrity of the whole thing fall apart around her. Warp did a quick kipup to her feet.

Tsunami looked back to Warp to see the other teen free herself from the net that had trapped her and then quickly get back up to her feet.  No longer having a need of the combat knife she had taken from one of the gunmen, the Asian teen dropped it to the ground before running over towards the hole in the wall and looking down.

When Warp caught up with Tsunami, she saw the lead bad guy and the other gunman who had just repel down running across the open area on the pier and jumping off into the river.  Tsunami's gaze was focused on the water below, an almost distant look in her eyes.

"There are several others, moving quickly under water on some sort of submersible."  She stated, before pausing a moment.  "There is a large submarine that they are heading towards.  It is about a sixty feet out from the pier, and about one hundred feet down."

Warp got to the edge just in time to see their quarry escape into the river. How many of the infants, exactly, had they managed to nab? Anger coiled and spat in her belly as she scowled over the river. It wasn't till Tsunami started talking that her fists uncurled and Warp smiled, with a razor edge. "Well we've gotta go down and say hello." She said, clapped a hand on her shoulder and peered down into the dark water, and suddenly the dimensions were as clear to her as the waves on the water and the wind on her skin. "Give 'em a hero's welcome." Darkness writhed across her, down her arm and engulfed Giang in a single brief moment, and then they were gone from where they stood and into the sub 'hidden' in the river.

Warp and Tsunami disappeared in the darkness summoned by Warp, only to reappear once more inside the submarine that Tsunami had located.  The two teenagers found themselves on a walkway in a fairly large room.  Down below them, there was water, presumably from the river, and up along some sort of racks on the far wall was what appeared to be a submersible for transporting divers, along with several empty spaces for at least three other submersibles.

There were three of the wetsuited thugs in the room, each armed with a pistol, which they currently did not have ready.  All three looked over at the two girls with a look of surprise evident at their sudden appearance.

It took Tsunami a moment to take in what was going on after being slightly disoriented by the teleport, but she then moved towards one of the nearest men, getting herself in position that the others might be hesitant to try shooting at her while near him.

Warp breathed and put herself into a firm, deep stance. And then she vanished, same way the pair'd appeared, like smoke.

She was a flicker appearing out of the darkness; appearing behind one henchman and shoving a hand deep into his side, slamming another into a wall, bringing her heel down on the last's head so he sprawled against the railing. When it was done she was back on the walkway, and the two heroes were the only conscious things in sight. Warp turned to Tsunami and tilted her head to the side, grinning. "I guess we're the welcoming committee now." She drove palm into fist. "Let's set up the best surprise party they'll ever see."

Tsunami had been in a ready stance as she had faced off against one of the gunmen, but then Warp quickly put him down, along with the other two that were in the room.  Relaxing slightly, the Asian teen gave Warp a small smile before looking down to study the water below.

"They are close, should be here in moments."  She stated.  "But the vehicles they are using make it difficult to tell how many there are."  She then added.

Looking back up, Tsunami glanced around the room a moment before focusing back on Warp.  "Perhaps we should try to force them to take this vessel back to the surface."  She stated.  "That will make it much more difficult for them to escape, and the police will be able to send boats out to intercept."

Warp stared. "You want to put a hole in it, then?" She said, tilting her head a little to the side. "That'd be one helluva present. I can make a hole." She breathed in deep and raised a hand, touched her heart with an imaginary finger and drew up darkness from the hole in it. Her eyes glowed red and darkness engulfed her extended arm. Warp could afford the time to be careful, to gather all the nastiness she could into the palm of her hand, and when she let it go it screamed into the side of the sub, spreading over the metal like creepers over a wall, dissolving the sub's side as they watched.

There was a metalic ripping as the area Warp had stuck decided it was not strong enough to hold back the water and suddenly a hole about as tall as Warp was opened up as the river forced its way inside. Warp put a hand on her hip and smirked. "Think that'll be good?"

Tsunami gave a small smile and nodded in response to Warp's question as water began pouring through the hole the other teen had created.  A warning siren began sounding inside the vessel, along with a light flashing in one corner of the room.  Clearly, any of the crew in the vessel's bridge was likely now aware that the hull had been comprised.

It was just about that point that three mini-submersibles broke through the surface of the pool of water in the room that opened out into the river.  The leader of the group of gunmen was on one of them, along with another eight of the wetsuit clad gunmen.

As the gunmen who had assaulted the aquarium broke the surface of the water, Warp and Tsunami could now see that they had with them about four mesh nets that contained some of the Deep One infants, though exactly how many was difficult to determine.  As the gunmen and their leader took in the situation in the launch bay, Tsunami went into action.

The Asian teen took a step forward, bringing both hands up in front of her, aiming them at the leader of the gunmen, and then swept them out to either side.  As her hands moved, several quick bursts of water shot forth, twisting through the air as they sped towards the leader and four of the gunmen gathered around him.  The coiling jets of water were unerring in their accuracy, each striking the intended target.

The four gunmen struck were all knocked back into the water with grunts of pain, knocked unconscious to float in the water of the launch bay.  The leader of the gunmen was struck as well, grunting in pain as he seemed dazed for a brief moment, before shaking it off.

Two of the gunmen who were not caught in the arc of Tsunami's attack went into action themselves.  The first pulled a sub-machinegun from a waterproof bag, aiming the weapon at the Asian teen.  The burst echoed in the small chamber, even of the sound of the water gushing in.  But the attack was well off its intended target, the bullets ricocheting off the metal hull behind her.

The second gunman drew a pistol, aiming at Warp and another gunshot echoed in the room.  However his aim was not much better than his companions, and the bullet glanced off the steel grating the teens were standing off a good five feet to Warp's left.

Recovering from Tsunami's attack, the leader of the gunmen looked back up at the pair.  "I have had more than enough of both of you."  He stated in a cold, deep voice.  Swimming off to one side, the climbed up onto a ladder to exit the pool, while raising his speargun with one hand to sent a spear flying at Tsunami.

The spear had a blunt tip, which arched with electricity once it was in the air, and struck the Asian teen solidly in the chest.  Electricity arched across the shimmering sheen of water that flowed around Tsunami, who gave a brief, soft cry of pain but otherwise seemed unaffected.

At least they weren't gonna shoot a hole in some glass by accident in here, Warp thought, keeping her body in a deep crouch. "Tough cookies, Nemo." She said, and ripped open a way between where she stood and where Natas was climbing. And she struck, trying to get ahold of the bastard's weapon . . . but he twisted away from her at the last second. She slipped back the way she came, on the walkway overlooking the sub. "We're not going anywhere."

As Warp tried to disarm their boss, the other two gunmen who were still conscious drew out their weapons to try to help deal with the superpowered teenagers.  One of them fired a pistol at Tsunami, but once again the bullet went way wide of its intended target.

The second aimed his sub-machinegun at Warp and fired a burst at the teenager.  Thought all the rounds missed, Warp could hear the faint cracks of the bullets as they passed uncomfortably close to her.

Just then a door at one end of the launch bay opened and another three of the gunmen appeared, each armed with a pistol.

Managing to shake off the effect of the stun spear from the leader, Tsunami dodge another gunshot from one of the remaining gunmen in the water as she saw the door open and three more appear.  "We have more company."  She commented to Warp as she focused back on the four gunmen in the water who had been shooting at her and the other teen.

Once again she thrust her hands out in front of her and swept them out to the side, sending short bursts of water flying out towards the four men.  As before, the jets of water only struck the four intended targets, this time with a little more force than the previous volley.  All four men were knocked back, splashing in the water and then floating unconscious on the surface.

The Asian teen finished in a low stance, ready to try to dodge any incoming attacks from the gunmen's leader or the three new arrivals.
