The light of the moon illuminated the path of Captain Wonder as little was happening, just another patrol. He was strolling around the suburbs, with many people gasping in awe at his majestic figure he imposed. He knew not of what was going on. Then, he heard a gun-shot...

Red Queen was plastered at the bar, with a pint of Guiness being offered by the bartender for free in exchange for her not wrecking the bar. It was a nice place, not overcrowded nor empty. Many people looked suspicious and scared at her. Nothing was happening. Then, she heard a gun-shot...

The Emissary disembarked from the small power-boat trip he had been offered by a young fan. The sea was quiet, as the young man took him out in the middle of the night to avoid attention. All the boats were moored up, being the summer, so the boat repair sheds where unused, meaning he had plenty of room. Then, he heard a gun-shot...

Star was relaxing on a bench, wearied from his work. He had already stopped a burglary, and had heard reports of a suspicious, plant like female killing a small 14 year old boy. However, his list of prevented crime-doers was at least over 30 today, many involving avoiding being shot.

His luck ran out, as he heard a gun-shot...

One of the problems with being a teleporter who likes the occasional drink is you sometimes find yourself out of your skull in some place, with no idea where in the fecking world you are, and Guinness never tastes as good as it does in Dublin, but it'll do in a pinch, and now some gobshite is shooting a gun, and for the love of Mary it feels like it went off inside your booze-soaked brain...

The red-haired sorceress does her best to focus her eyes on the timid barkeep. "D'you think that came from outside, then? 'Tisn't right to fire a gun outside a bar, or inside for that matter; I know all of you Yanks are cowboys, but this ain't the OK Corral, is it?"

Faye holds up her hand, finger pointed in the classic 'cowboys and Indians' pistol, and mimes cocking it like it was an automatic. "Cha-chick! Ya'll stay inside, while Marshal Spenser has a wee look 'round, yeah?" When she was good and pissed, she had a tendency to tell people her real name, which was of course supposed to be a no-no, but what could they really do to hurt her? Call the garda? Police didn't scare her.

With great effort, the Red Queen finds the door, locks onto it like a guided missile, and staggers towards it and outside, waving her 'magic pistol' about; if anyone knew what that finger could do, they'd be on the floor in terror.

Star jumps with a start and flys straight up looking around for the trouble.

"I just knew this would be a long day this morning."

Star flies in the direction of the shot being reminded of the many children who could be losing their parents. He stops and surveys the area before moving further.

All those who turn up see a scene of utmost horror.

The gunshot was emitted in a small alleyway, enough for three people to stand shoulder to shoulder. Indeed, three people where standing shoulder to shoulder as they fired handguns at an enemy that words almost couldn't describe.

It stood a full 8ft tall, dwarfing the men beneath it. It's skin was blood red, scaled. It's feet were hooved, like a horse or cows as it was double jointed. The monsters face was humanoid, with two horns of ebony colour raised high above the skull, curling around it's bald scalp. A double handed axe swung again, as another man fell from a head decapitation. You then notice, behind the monster were bodies of men killed by the thing itself. It stepped forward, ready to slay the 2 men.

The light of the moon illuminated the path of Captain Wonder as little was happening, just another patrol. He was strolling around the suburbs, with many people gasping in awe at his majestic figure he imposed. He knew not of what was going on. Then, he heard a gun-shot...

This is not the first, nor the tenth time that Captain Wonder has overheard a gunshot over a major city. Still, his heart beats faster at the noise, his hands balling into fists as he dips lower over the rooftops of North Bay. Fred is up way past his bedtime, and like many an old man in that situation, he's feeling awfully cranky. When he peers through the darkness for the source of the danger, he's ready to do some damage.

At the sight of the demon, though, Fred's irritation rapidly turns into the fire that burns the heat of Captain Wonder's anger. "MINION OF APEP!" he booms, his cape fluttering behind him against the night sky. "FACE THE POWER OF RA's CHAMPION!" He flies down, a golden blur flickering in the moonlight, and throws a steel-shattering punch at the demon's face! He's up again a moment later, flying just out of the demon's reach.

The demon looked unconcerned as the new attackers joined the fray, he looked happy some swore. Captain threw a punch at the Demon, but the Demon parried the attack with his axe, sending the fist of justice off course. It span it's axe round to place the weapon between the beam. As if protected by some fell aura of evil, the magnificent aura slowly faded away.

With another mighty roar the monster vomited blood. However, this wasn't a motion, it was an attack! Luckily, Star dodged it, and the projectile of bodily fluids arced bast him.

The police man, a small fraction of hope on his face, fell back into despair. He panicked, moving backwards as he fired his pistol in random angles. The Demon laughed, parrying each bullet with his axe. Due to that action, he raised his axe to the heavens as he parried the last bullet. The last member, a stern faced man holding two pistols, obviously from the dead police officers, took aim. Any normal man would have fled, or missed, but this man wasn't normal. He fired a small salvo of 6 rounds, each found their mark as the Demon realised it's mistake. He roared a great, shaking cry as his tainted blood leaked out of the blood red body of his. He rammed his hand into the wall to hold himself stable as slowly, the wounds began to re-knit themselves.

The scene Faye encounters outside is, well, pandemonium, i.e her kind of party, but normally she prefers this kind of action when her skull isn't actively on fire.

Christ, I'm going to feel all this in the morning.

Since she doesn't know a spell off the top of her head to sober up, it takes a bit for Faye to sort it all out, but it seems there's a demon fighting the local constabulary and handing it its collective arse, and now the cape-and-tights crowd has of course shown up, and some eejit is screaming about the Egyptian pantheon at the top of his lungs and inside her head. Normally she wouldn't really care about this kind of nonsense, but the Queen is now official grumpy.

Without saying a word, Faye stomps on over to the fracas, her fingers wriggling like a nest of snakes, and does her best to zap the offending demon with a gout of crimson flame so she can go back inside and settle her tab.

Both the beam of light and punch connecting. Being a thing of unholy foulness, the light burns the Demons skin, but his head was suddenly dislocated by Captains punch. The monster roars in defiance as he slowly dissolves back into the ground. The copper and the civilian stand up, both turning to you.

"Thanks for the help sir. hey, I know you!" the police man yells, pointing at Queen. Then, his cheeks turn red and he says no more.

"If you're gonna pull accusations at people, then don't throw them at your saviours. You can go" the other beckons. The police man nods, walking off with hurried looks at Queen.

"Idiot. Useless these people are, although he was fighting something i would call a Demon from hell. Anyway though, thanks for the help. Names Cody, Sergeant in the US army. Not much left after the dreadful "Bermuda incident." As you can see, pretty skilled when it comes to kicking ass, nothing compared to you of course" the man, now known as Cody, introduced. He holstered his pistols into his jacket.

"Quick silver! I know you can hear me! I heard an innocent gasp as that thing came out!" Cody yelled.
