As the bullets whizzed by harmlessly Omen smiled as he called back out to the crimson and black hero, "Anytime King!" As the underbosses took it upon themselves to cut their losses and run, Omen couldn't help feel that they were being bad hosts. Confidently he began to twirl his Bo Staff in his right hand in steady preparation for his next course of action. Quickly the youth twisted his body towards the last remaining guard and began swinging his metallic Bo Staff towards his guard's head.

His body tensed as he tried to apply as much force as he could possibly muster in such a quick action. It was all a matter of preparation if the last flunky fell, Omen would make chase for the Underbosses. If not he would have no choice but to hold his ground. It wouldn't be very smart to leave his back exposed after whacking away at a guy after all. Furthermore, if the guard remained on his feet he would be near enough to cover Then there was the fact that the Underbosses route of escape was covered by the archer. Although it wasn't guaranteed that he was not having an issue with any of the guards outside.

Still it was both a matter of trust and confidence. Both qualities the young vigilante was far from lacking in. Even as the Underbosses stumbled to try and escape the possibility of things going sour had yet to even cross his mind. The three capes were in control of the situation and that was just the way he liked it.

Omen's staff smashed into the guard's head, the hard edge indenting the flesh and bone beneath with its cold metal. The man staggered under the assault, his gun dropping from his stunned hands to misfire on the floor and send a bullet rocketing into the hardened steel layering the inside wall of the warehouse.

The guard stumbled for a moment, his eyes glazing over as the world wavered and began to blacken. As he crashed heavily to the floor, his eyes captured for one instant that sealed into his memory forever the blue emblem of the eye of Foreshadow on Omen's collar.

At the sharp *crack* of Omen's staff, the two underbosses redoubled their efforts to escape, their polished shoes clattering on the hard cement floor as they dashed for the vast double doors that led to the outside world, and their escape.

Seeing as Omen had dealt with the only current source of danger he knew of, the King of Suits raced after the two underbosses, calling back cheerfully "Great work Omen, I'll deal with those two fine fellows who just so rudely left!" and grabbing the convenient railing, he jumped down at least a dozen steps, well within range of the two fleeing Family agents, their balding heads gleaming in the harsh light from the warehouse electric bulbs.

Whipping his gloved left hand back, his fist clutching the bolas just taken from his belt, he sent it whirling at the legs of the Driogano underboss, but the balding man managed to sidestep them with much less effort than Marceau had hoped. Calling up to Omen, he shouted "Come on down Omen! We don't want them escaping our archer friend!"

Hearing the King of Suit's rallying cry, Omen gleefully moved from the guard he had just knocked out. He took into a full sprint knowing that with his athletic build there was no way that either of these two unsavory characters would be able to reach the door. Coming up from behind Driogan's Underboss Omen attempted to use the full momentum of his charge to ram his body into him from behind. Unfortunately even in his panicked retreat the Underboss was able to avoid being overtaken by the rampaging vigilante. "Drat."

As the sable-clad protege of Foreshadow hurtled and fell just short of his target, the Underboss sent by the Driogano family spun on his heels(an ungainly sight)and drawing his pistol from its holster fired off an astonishingly well-aimed shot at his attacker. The bullet hit its intended target..and bounced off a curve in Omen's armor, only a sharp jolt of impact from his shoulder letting him know he had been hit at all, leaving the underboss in a fairly awkward situation....

The Oliverti emissary had even worse luck, a second pair of bolas whirling out of the warehouse to wrap him firmly in a tangle of line. With a yelp of surprise, he began to desperately bound forward in what is colloquially referred to as "the bunny hop".

Omen was thankful that the sturdiness of his body armor had continued to hold through. It probably helped that the guy had been a lousy shot up to this point. Although that last one certainly stung. Omen wasn't about to let a little thing like gunfire slow him down. Moving like a nighttime breeze Omen began to charge towards Driogano's underboss until he was within the man's range. As he swung the arm gripping onto the pistol Omen would somersault forward over the offending limb immediately tucking his body in and tumbling backwards upon landing opposite the man to end up back in front of him once more. He was hoping to use his movement to force an opening from the man.

The opening came and went without the King of Suits appearing to see it, concerned as he was with the subduing of the ambassador of the Oliverti family. Drawing out a metal boomerang, he had sent it whirling through the air into the man's head, knocking him down and keeping him from running. For a little while, at least.

Then he turned his attention to Omen's quarry...and realized what the plan appeared to have been.

Drat he thought to himself why does this keep happening?

In the awkward pause that followed, the Driogano Underboss stared in startled fear as the bullet failed to do any harm at all to the presumably normal man in front of him. With a choked laugh, he realized as the Oliverti underboss was felled that he had been readied for an attack from the other vigilante. Seeing as that hadn't come to fruition, he turned and ran for it, stopping for a second after getting a short distance away to fire at the glowing blue symbol on Omen's chest, yelling "I'll send you ahead of your master Foreshadow, punk!" the threat punctuated by the retort of the pistol.

Grinning to acknowledge the fact that yet another round had whizzed harmlessly by, Omen moved to respond. It would certainly be skating on the edge of sanity to keep his cool in such a situation. Although honestly the youth was enjoying the rush. "What's the matter Driogano not pay his big boys to go to marksmanship school? Or maybe this is what passes as quality shooting for your boss."

While he was disappointed that the King of Suits hadn't taken advantage of the opportunity presented beforehand, Omen wasn't going to get lazy because of it. While he was sure the man was on edge from his earlier acrobatic trickery, charging forward with a firm grip on his Bo Staff Omen swung for the remaining Underboss' ribcage.

The blow from the staff sent shivers down its length into Omen's hands, caused by the sudden halting of the swiftly-moving rod as it struck the Driogano family's principle underboss. With a slow moan of pain, the man slumped to the ground, his balding head striking the worn concrete with a sharp thud, the gun clattering from his grip as his body sagged and slumped into a nearly boneless state of repose.

The watchmen were still insensible thanks to Quarrel's quick bowmanship, and the bodyguards were no better off. All in all, the deal was at least stalled.

By this point, the shots and sights of the smoke had alerted the local citizenry and police, not to mention the fire department, whose wailing sirens signaled their speedy approach...

The King of Suits dashed over to Omen, panting slightly at the sudden bursts of exertion he had needed to make. "Thanks for your help Omen," he said happily, holding out his left hand in an invitation to shake it "Always glad to meet someone else in this business when stuff like this goes down, I hope to meet you sometime later, do you have any areas you frequent more often than others, patrol-wise? We could meet up around there if either of us need any help. I patrol mostly from the Fens, Midtown and West Side"

Cocking an ear at the distant sirens he added "Also, I'll need to thank that archer fellow for his help, he's a genius with that bow of his!"
